Description: BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a decorative and ornamental bark having an excellent deodorizing function, which is used as a filler for a flower pot or the like used for decoration and ornamentation. The present invention relates to a method for manufacturing a chip. [0002] Conventionally, bark has been used as it is as a deodorizing material in livestock houses without special treatment. This is based on the fact that tannins contained in the bark react with ammonia, which is one of the malodorous components, to change into odorless substances. However, although bark has an excellent deodorizing effect on ammonia, it does not have an deodorizing effect on hydrogen sulfide and the like, which are other typical malodorous components. In recent years, it has become popular to use the bark as chips of an appropriate size and arrange it on the soil of potted plants and artificial trees for decoration and appreciation. This bark has a phthalocyanine-based deodorizing function. There has been reported a bark chip carrying a compound having the same and having a deodorizing function. However, in these bark chips, it is difficult to carry a large amount of the compound having the deodorizing function on the bark surface because it is difficult to immobilize the compound. There is a disadvantage that the effect is inferior. [0003] As a method for improving the deodorizing effect of the deodorant on hydrogen sulfide and the like, a method of supporting a transition metal compound, particularly a copper compound colloid, or a method of using copper carboxymethyl cellulose as a pulp. And the like, and deodorant paper or deodorant nonwoven fabric according to the method is reported. However, according to this method, although very effective for fibrous substances such as pulp, the bark is difficult to carry a copper compound due to its surface characteristics and the like, and the bark component reacts with copper ions to react with the bark surface. Had a drawback such as blackening. Means for Solving the Problems The inventors of the present invention have conducted intensive studies to solve the above problems, and as a result, covered the surface of a bark chip with a film of a carboxymethyl cellulose solution having transparency. It has been found that by reacting this carboxymethyl cellulose membrane with copper ions, bark chips can be imparted with excellent deodorizing properties, durability and decorativeness, and have completed the present invention. That is, the present invention
An object of the present invention is to provide a method for producing a bark chip, in which carboxymethyl cellulose is applied or impregnated to a bark chip and then reacted with copper ions. Hereinafter, the present invention will be described in detail. The bark chips used in the present invention may be either conifers or hardwoods, but conifers are preferable, and examples thereof include red pine, black pine, and bay pine. The bark chips are reacted with copper ions after coating and impregnating carboxymethylcellulose. The application and impregnation of carboxymethylcellulose is performed by immersing the bark chips in an aqueous solution of carboxymethylcellulose. The carboxymethylcellulose to be used preferably has a water-soluble DS of about 0.4 to 0.6. The concentration is preferably about 0.5 to 3%,
It is sufficient to soak for about 30 minutes. Next, the reaction with copper ions is carried out by treating the bark chips coated and impregnated with carboxymethylcellulose with an aqueous solution of copper ions. Examples of the aqueous solution of copper ions used include aqueous solutions of copper acetate, copper sulfate, and the like. A reaction at room temperature for about 5 to 30 minutes is sufficient. After the reaction, bark chips are obtained by drying with hot air. However, in order to stabilize the copper carboxymethylcellulose coating, after reaction with copper ions, treatment with a dilute alkali, for example, a dilute caustic soda solution, followed by drying with hot air,
Bark chips can also be used. The present invention will be described in more detail with reference to the following examples. Example 1 1 kg of bark chips (North American pine bark chips, trade name Interior Bark) was immersed for 10 minutes in 30 L of a 1.5% carboxymethylcellulose (DS = 0.5) aqueous solution at 25 to 30 ° C. Methyl cellulose was impregnated. The impregnated bark chips were transferred into 30 L of a 3% aqueous copper acetate solution at 25 to 30 ° C., and gently stirred for 10 minutes to form a coating of copper carboxymethyl cellulose on the surface of the bark chips. Next, the chip is transferred into 25 L of a 0.005 N aqueous solution of sodium hydroxide at 25 to 30 ° C., and left for 10 minutes to stabilize the copper carboxymethyl cellulose film.
It was dried with warm air at 50 ° C. to obtain bark chips. The amount of copper carboxymethylcellulose carried on the obtained bark chips was 3
% And the color was dark brown. Comparative Example 1 1 kg of bark chips (North American pine bark chips, trade name Interior Bark) was added to 30 L of a 0.2% copper hydroxide and 0.01% iron-phthalocyanine dispersion at 25 to 30 ° C. and sufficiently added. Stirred. Next, the bark chips were collected by filtration and dried in the sun to obtain bark chips carrying copper hydroxide and iron-phthalocyanine. Evaluation Example 1 The deodorizing ability of the bark chips obtained in Example 1 and Comparative Example 1 was evaluated by the following test method. An untreated bark chip was used as a target. 20 g of bark chips were placed in a 1.5 L fastener bag, and the initial concentration was 10 as an odorous gas.
0 ppm of hydrogen sulfide or ammonia was enclosed. At certain intervals, the remaining gas concentration was measured using a detector tube. Table 1 shows the results. Further, the bark chips obtained by the method of the present invention did not become black even after the test. [Table 1] Evaluation Example 2 The water resistance of bark chips was evaluated by the following test method. 50 g of each of the bark chips obtained in Example 1 and a commercially available deodorant as a comparative example (the same as in Evaluation Example 1) were washed vigorously under a tap water tap for 5 minutes. The bark chips were then
After immersion in still water for an hour, it was dried at 50 ° C. this,
The deodorizing ability for hydrogen sulfide was evaluated in the same manner as in Evaluation Example 1. Table 2 shows the results. [Table 2] The bark chips obtained by the method of the present invention are:
Contains a large amount of copper carboxymethyl cellulose,
It has excellent deodorizing ability against hydrogen sulfide and ammonia, which are typical odorous components, and has high water resistance. There is no danger of lowering. In addition, the surface is not blackened and has a decorative property.
