Abstract

PURPOSE:To obtain a fiber material showing an antimicrobial effect, a deodorizing effect and an adsorbing effect. CONSTITUTION:An inorganic silicon compound is supported in the inside of a fiber and the resultant inorganic silicon compound-containing fiber is immersed in an aqueous solution containing an aluminate. The fiber is subsequently immersed in an aqueous solution containing one or more compounds selected from water-soluble salts of copper, silver and zinc. Thereby, the objective fiber showing an antimicrobial effect, a deodorizing effect and an adsorbing effect can be obtained.

It is also known that fibers treated with a metal compound such as copper, silver and zinc show antibacterial properties and deodorizing properties (for example, Japanese Patent Laid-Open No. 2-153723). It has long been known that silicon compounds such as silica gel have an ion exchange property. It is also known that treating silica gel with an aqueous solution containing aluminate improves the ion exchange capacity (Iler, RH, The Chemistry of Si).

As a method for producing the inorganic silicon compound-supporting fiber, which is a raw material fiber of the antibacterial fiber of the present invention, for example, the method shown in Japanese Patent Application No. 2-121221 or Japanese Patent Application No. 2-162946 can be used. In the inorganic silicon compound-supported fiber produced by these methods, most of the inorganic silicon compound is present inside the fiber. The inside of the fiber referred to herein means the inside of the fiber, that is, the inside of the polymer substance constituting the fiber. It also includes the case where an inorganic silicon compound is present in the cell lumen (lumen) that is present in many lignocellulosic fibers.

The raw material fibers of the antibacterial fiber of the present invention are:
50 to 100% of silicon compound supported on fibers
However, it is desirable that they are present inside the fiber (inside the substance). If 50% or more of the supported amount of the inorganic silicon compound is supported on the outside of the fiber, a large amount of the inorganic silicon compound will fall off when the fiber is processed into a product or while the product is in use, and sufficient performance can be exhibited. Disappear. The proportion of the inorganic silicon compound supported on the fiber is preferably about 5 to 150% of the organic content of the fiber in terms of solid content.

When a substance is supported on the fiber in the form of powder or the like, a binder is often used for the purpose of preventing the substance from falling off, but in the case of an inorganic silicon compound having an adsorbing property such as silica gel, the use of the binder results in silica gel. However, there is a problem that the binder adheres to the fine pores of and the adsorption performance is deteriorated. The antibacterial fiber of the present invention solves these drawbacks.

The above inorganic silicon compound-supported fiber is immersed in an aqueous solution containing an aluminate. The water content of the fiber before soaking is preferably about 0 to 90%. As the aluminate, sodium aluminate, potassium aluminate and the like are preferable. The concentration of the aqueous solution of these aluminates is not particularly limited, but a concentration of about 0.1 to 10% is preferable. There is no particular limitation on the immersion temperature or time.
The fibers dipped in the aluminate are drained, washed with water, and dipped in a water-soluble metal salt selected from copper, silver and zinc. The water content of the fiber before soaking is preferably about 0 to 90%.
The concentration of the liquid is not particularly limited, but is 0.01 to 1 from the economical aspect.
A concentration of 0% is preferably used. There is no particular limitation on the immersion temperature or time.

Antibacterial Test This sheet was placed on L medium, Escherichia coli suspended in physiological saline was applied, and the cells were cultured at 37 ° C. for 24 hours. As a result, the growth of bacteria was observed on the sheet. Was not recognized. Deodorizing Test This sheet was subjected to an antifungal test according to JIS Z-2911 method. As a result, both the wet method and the dry method showed antifungal resistance of fungus resistance 1. This sheet was put in a 5 Tedlar bag, filled with 2 L of air, and 2 ml of ammonia gas was injected, and the ammonia gas concentration after a predetermined time was measured by a detector tube. The results are shown in Table 1.

EFFECTS OF THE INVENTION According to the present invention, an antibacterial / deodorant fiber having a durable property, which retains an inorganic substance inside the fiber, does not drop off the components carried during processing and during use, was obtained. .. The fiber according to the present invention is less likely to drop off the inorganic substance than the fiber obtained by simply adhering the powdery inorganic substance to the fiber. Further, in the case of the fiber in which the powdered inorganic substance is simply attached to the fiber, an adhesive agent is often used when the inorganic substance is attached, and the performance of the product may be deteriorated in some cases. However, the fiber of the present invention does not have such a worry.
