Description: BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION 1. Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a light alloy wheel for a vehicle in which members representing characters and patterns are fitted or welded, and a method for producing the same. 2. Description of the Related Art Light alloy wheels for vehicles are light in weight and therefore effective in terms of function. In addition, due to the beauty of the surface of the metal material and the ease of processing in manufacturing, the pattern of the wheel is made of a light alloy. There are many types, each with its own distinctive wheels. The highest part of the design element of the wheel is the disc part, and the design is free and abundant design is provided as long as the strength is not impaired. Also, the beauty of the machined surface is emphasized in the rim portion, and there is provided a wheel having a decorative property in which reflected light looks like iridescent color by having a turned surface of a fine line on the surface. [0003] On the other hand, the design pattern of the disk portion is provided with a rib having a dish shape, a penetrating hole, and the like.
The rib has a mesh shape and a spoke shape. Therefore, the design pattern is expressed by forming the disk portion into a dish shape or an uneven surface, and the sharpness of the design is emphasized. [0004] Regardless of the rim portion, regardless of what is formed by forging or casting, the rim portion is turned over almost the entire surface in order to enhance the outer dimensional accuracy. However, the rim portion is further polished to show a beautiful surface utilizing the luster of the metal. There are many things. [0005] In addition, the light alloy wheel is entirely covered with a paint layer in order to improve the corrosion resistance. However, there is a distinction between a portion intended for coloring and a portion which is transparent to leave a metallic color. Many. Generally, the color of the disk and the rim are improved by using the same color or different colors, and some of them include a picture. The colored surface formed by the paint layer naturally shows a slight swelling, and usually has a thickness of at most about 100 μm. Therefore, the paint layer is often destroyed by sand, pebbles, empty cans, and the like that are caught during traveling. The beauty of a light alloy wheel as a product depends largely on the beauty of the metal color, and the beauty of the turned surface is as described above. Is different depending on the material, and the color tone is different depending on the surface roughness. Although various types of metal vehicle wheels may be used, the use of particularly light materials is indispensable in order to reduce the unsprung load and improve the steering performance. As a measure for strengthening the paint layer, a plating method, a thermal spraying method or a metallic coating method can be considered. However, the plating method has a problem in adhesion due to a difference in a linear expansion coefficient between a plating material and a wheel material. In addition, the peripheral portion of the pattern cannot be distinguished and cannot be adopted because of a large number of man-hours and corrosion of the material. Further, the thermal spraying method and the metallic coating method can express the contour of the pattern quite clearly, but the applied feeling is strong to the last, and it is not inferior in terms of luxury. The problem to be solved is to enhance the design of the disk part more luxuriously,
Another object of the present invention is to provide a wheel that maintains lightness and a method of manufacturing the same, and a method of manufacturing a wheel whose design pattern is not easily peeled off. SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION The present invention is directed to a method for emphasizing or patterning the outline of a character or a pattern on a side visible when a light alloy wheel is mounted on a vehicle. A recess having a depth of 0.1 mm or more is provided in synchronism with the pattern, and an inorganic substance or a polymer substance having a color or reflected light different from the material constituting the wheel is fitted or welded to the recess. The reason why the depth of the concave portion is set to at least 0.1 mm or more is that when the flat surface is ground with the concave portion opening surface, the substantial thickness of the substance in the concave portion is smaller than 0.1 mm but is reduced. For this reason, if the material remaining in the concave portion is less than 0.1 mm in order to maintain a perfect form or give an impression as if inlaid, it is insufficient when the depth is less than 0.1 mm, and in the case of welding, it cannot be differentiated from a colored layer made of paint or the like. . In the case of fitting, the height of the upper surface of the fitting piece may be more convex than the concave opening surface. The upper limit of the depth is not particularly limited, but it is important to avoid concentrated stress on the rim portion of the disk, and the depth of the concave portion is 5% of the thickness of the place where the concave portion is provided.
About 20% is appropriate. It is effective to provide a concave portion on the side surface in synchronism with the character or pattern by machining, and to make the bottom area larger than the opening area of the concave portion for the reason described later. A new wheel inlaid is formed by fitting the fitting pieces into the recesses. A recess is provided on the side surface of the light alloy wheel by forging, casting or machining in synchronization with characters and patterns, and the recess is provided with an inorganic substance having a color or reflected light different from the material constituting the wheel. After the polymer material or the like is coated on the recess by thermal spraying, welding, or fitting, the contour of the recess is clearly realized by flattening the recess at the height of the opening surface of the recess. When welding a polymer substance, the case where the resin plate is heated and fused,
In some cases, a resin liquid mixed with a catalyst and a curing agent is cast. However, in all cases, the hardness is selected so that the hardness does not fall significantly below the hardness of the material constituting the wheel. When the fitting piece is fitted into the concave portion, a convex portion is provided around the fitting piece so that the fitting piece is spread in the concave portion, so that the design pattern is strongly fixed and hardly peeled off. Become. FIG. 1 shows a light alloy wheel according to an embodiment of the present invention, in which reference numeral 10 denotes a five-spoke wheel. When roughly turning the rim portion, a band-shaped concave portion is formed in a part of the circumference of the outer rim 1 at a depth of 0.2 mm, a width of 5 mm, and grooves 2-1 and 2-2.
Are processed in two rows, and a brass material is sprayed. Cross section A-
A is shown in FIG. Naturally, thermal spray also adheres to the periphery due to the spread of the pattern. Enough groove 2-1,
The sprayed portion 3 was formed so as to fill the 2-2 and rise slightly. Next, when the entire rim was turned and the excess sprayed part was cut off, the rim shines like a rainbow, and a golden brass band in the rim 1 looks as if inlaid. Was. [Embodiment 2] FIG. 3 shows a cross section taken along line BB of the rib.
A recess 5 is formed in a part of the rib 4 (FIG. 1) of the spoke type light alloy wheel at a uniform depth of 0.2 mm in a rectangular shape along the contour of the rib during forging. Next, a thermal spray portion 6 is formed by spraying the brass material slightly over the entire surface of the concave portion 5 so as to swell. Next, mechanical grinding is performed so that the periphery of the concave portion 5 becomes flat. By cutting off the excess thermal spray portion in this manner, the contour of the concave portion 5 becomes clear. The sprayed brass material appeared as if inlaid. Further, sand blasting was performed to polish the metal part and the sprayed brass part constituting the wheel body. The overall result was a calm color wheel with a dull luster. Embodiment 3 The side surface of the rib 4 of the five-spoke type light alloy wheel 10 shown in FIG. 1 is machined to form a recess 7 having a uniform depth of 0.3 mm (FIG. 4C-C sectional view). And the concave portion 7 is provided.
Then, a zinc material and an aluminum material are simultaneously sprayed to form a sprayed portion 8. As a result of flattening the sprayed portion 8 and its periphery by mechanical grinding, the concave portion 7 exhibited an appearance like an inlaid. The depression formed by the thermal spraying of the alloy of zinc and aluminum was colored blue. There are various metallic colors by thermal spraying, and the above is shown as an example. In addition, for example, molybdenum shows a black color and bronze shows a bronze color.
In addition, when spraying, if a brassnon made by a ceramic aggregate and an epoxy resin (manufactured by Dainippon Paint Co., Ltd.) is applied to the concave portion, the anchor effect is increased and the adhesion of the sprayed portion is greatly improved. FIG. 5 is a sectional view of a brass piece 11 (having a thickness of 1.0 mm) formed by machining the rising portion of the concave portion 7 having a depth of 0.6 mm shown in the third embodiment so as to have a slightly wider bottom. 0 mm) was cut into the same size as the bottom surface of the concave portion, the convex portion 12 was provided inside the peripheral edge of the cut piece, and the cut piece was pressed into the concave portion 7. The convex portion 12 became substantially flat, and the brass piece 11 spread and fitted. In this case, since the area of the pattern was larger than the thickness of the brass piece, the adhesive 13 was interposed also for rust prevention. As a result of grinding the press-in piece and the rib surface so as to be flat, an extremely good inlaid shape that was hard to fall off was exhibited. It looked as if it were a composite material of metal with different rib materials. Embodiment 5 A colored resin plate is used in place of the brass piece in Embodiment 4. Light press-fitting is performed in the same manner, and the periphery of the press-fitting piece is pressed with a hot plate at 80 ° C. to push the resin into the rising portion of the concave portion. By mixing fine particles of a brilliant substance in the resin plate, various reflection patterns due to reflection of light rays could be realized. In the above embodiment, covering the upper layer with a clear resin layer is effective in preventing discoloration due to oxidation of metal. As described above, since the luxuriousness of the inlaid wheel is a cosmetic method, the surroundings of the design pattern exhibit the characteristic appearance of the inlaid surface unlike the texture of painting, and Since it has a thickness of 10 times or more, it exhibits a deep color tone, and a wheel having a high-quality appearance can be obtained.
