2. Description of the Related Art As shown in FIG. 2, a panel-assembled tank 1 is composed of a large number of unit panels 2, each unit panel 2 being provided with a joining edge 3 on the periphery of a rectangular pressure receiving surface. Then, the packing 4 is sandwiched between the joint edges 3 and 3 of the adjacent unit body panels 2 and pressure-bonded by bolts and nuts, and the tank 1 is assembled by filling the gap. In the conventional panel assembly type tank packing, band-shaped packing having a uniform width is used. Also, as another conventional example, a packing in which ribs are formed on the surface of a base material such as rubber is known (Japanese Utility Model Publication No. 54-3563).

However, the above-mentioned conventional panel-assembled tank packing has the following drawbacks. That is, when a band-shaped packing having a uniform width is used, the tightening force of the bolt is
As shown in (a), it is intensively applied to the periphery of the bolt hole 13 at the joint edge to form the high compression load portion 12 that is extremely compressed with respect to the low compression load portion 11 other than the periphery of the bolt hole, The reaction force of the packing in this portion may cause cracks in the joint edge portion around the bolt hole to cause water leakage. Further, the band-shaped packing may be squeezed out, and the packing 4 may stick out from the joint edge 3 as shown in FIG. 5 to form a protruding portion 4c. Furthermore, as shown in FIG. 4, in the bolt 5 at the joint edge and in the intermediate portion 4b between the bolts 5, the tightening force of the bolt is less likely to be transmitted as compared with the bolt hole peripheral portion 4a due to deformation of the joint edge. If the tightening force of was insufficient, it could not be fully tightened, resulting in water leakage.

On the other hand, in the packing with ribs in which ribs are formed on the surface of a base material such as rubber, it is difficult to control the degree of tightening when tightening with a bolt and a nut, and a large force is required to tighten until the end contacts the joint edge. Therefore, the surface pressure applied to the ribs becomes excessively large, and the restoration of the rib portion is deteriorated early, resulting in deterioration of the material. On the contrary, when the tightening force was small, the surface pressure became insufficient, which caused water leakage. Further, even when a slight damage was generated on the joint edge portion, the contact area between the joint edge portion and the rib was small, which led to immediate water leakage. An object of the present invention is to solve these problems and to provide a packing which can stably obtain a good water sealing property in a panel assembly type tank.

Next, the present invention will be described in detail with reference to the drawings. As shown in FIG. 2, the packing 4 shown in FIG. 2 is sandwiched between the facing joint edges 3 and 3 of the unit body panel 2. The packing 4 has bolts 5 at the joint edges 3 and 3.
And, the panel assembly type tank 1 is formed by crimping the joint edges 3 and 3 by tightening with the nut 6 and filling the gap. As shown in FIG. 1, the packing 4 is composed of a flat surface portion 7 and projecting portions that project on both sides in the longitudinal direction of the flat surface portion 7,
This protrusion has a ridge 8 and an inclined surface 9 formed gently on both ends 10 of the ridge 8 from the ridge 8. The thickness T1 of the flat surface portion 7 is usually 1.5 to 4 mm.
The ridge portion 8 is formed so as to project from the surface of the flat surface portion 7. The ridge portion 8 is formed at opposite positions on both sides of the packing, and the cross-sectional shape is symmetrical on both sides. The thickness T of the protrusion 8
2 is usually 2 to 10 mm.

The cross-sectional shape of the projection 8 is not particularly limited, but it is preferable that the projection 8 projects at a steep inclination in the direction of the flat surface 7 and is continuous with the inclined surface 9. The position of the ridge portion 8 is close to the core 15 of the bolt hole 13 in the width direction (arrow 14) of the joint edge 3, but it is preferable to arrange it at a position where it does not contact the bolt hole 13. The thickness T3 of the end portion 10 is preferably a dimension expressed by T1 × (2 to 5) / (foaming ratio) using the thickness T1 of the flat surface portion 7. The ridge 8 is the thickest part of this packing, and when this packing is compressed by tightening the bolt and the nut, the ridge 8 first comes into contact with the joint edges 3, 3. Since the protruding portion 8 is continuous with the inclined surface 9, it does not show a sudden reaction force, but gradually deforms together with the inclined surface 9, gradually increasing the contact area with the joint edge 3 and increasing the reaction force. As a result, the contact area of only the portion that is strongly tightened in the length direction of the joint edge 3 becomes large, so that the deformation of the joint edge between the bolts can be made much smaller than in the case of the prior art of FIG. I can.

When the packing of the present invention is compressed by tightening bolts and nuts, etc., and when the entire surface of the inclined surface 9 contacts the joint edge 3, the packing 4 is extremely compressed.
As shown in FIG. 3B, the joint edges are relatively evenly distributed in the length direction, and the extremely compressed portion as shown in FIG. 3A of the prior art is offset to the periphery of the bolt hole. Since it does not exist, it has an effect of preventing cracks on the bonding edge. When the bolt is further tightened, the protruding portion 8 arranged near the core 15 of the bolt hole, as shown in FIG. 6, is completely collapsed by the bubbles 4d in the foam body so that the reaction force of this portion is rapidly increased. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the bubbles 4d of the entire packing from being destroyed by an excessive tightening force.
Further, since a strong tightening force is not applied to the end portion 10 due to the reaction force of the protruding portion 8 at this time, it is possible to prevent the protrusion portion 4c of the packing in the width direction of the joint edge as shown in FIG. Further, it is possible to prevent deformation of the joint edge 3 in the width direction.

The panel assembly type tank packing of the present invention is formed by projecting on both sides of the flat surface on both sides of the packing.
From the surface of the flat part to the continuous protrusion in the longitudinal direction of the packing
The protruding part formed by projecting and the packing from the protruding part
Since it has an inclined surface that is inclined in a direction in which the thickness of the end portion side in the lateral direction becomes thin, the joint edge of the unit panel is increased as the tightening force of the bolt increases when the panel assembly tank is assembled. Since the contact area between the seal and the packing increases steplessly, the deformation of the joint edge in the length direction can be reduced, and the packing near the midpoint between the bolts can be sufficiently compressed. If the thickest ridge of the packing is located near the bolt hole in the width direction of the joint edge, the difference in the position where the bolt tightening force in the width direction of the joint edge and the repulsive force of the packing are applied reduces the damage to the joint edge. Can be prevented. As a result, deformation of the joint edge in the width direction is reduced, so that the packing does not protrude outside the joint edge.

Further, if a foam is used for the packing of the present invention, when the bubbles of the foam in the thickest ridge portion are completely crushed, this portion loses its characteristic as a flexible foam and the stopper is Play a role. This protects the air bubbles in the thin portion, so that even if an excessive tightening force is applied to the bolt, the recovery force is maintained and high water sealing performance can be maintained. Further, if a foam is used for the packing, the ridge portion is easily deformed, and even if there is a minute scratch on the surface of the joint edge, the ridge portion is adhered and no gap can be formed.
