設けられる。更に前記C形スリーブ内には該スリーブの
後部下縁と開口側端部下縁に枢着された一対の半球半体
が対向配設されてなるボールゲートが設けられると共に
前記各半球半体の上部が前記スリーブの上縁に垂設され
たブラケットに枢支された油圧シリンダのピストンロッ
ドに連結されて構成される。而して上記一対の半球半体
の下端縁には夫々根切用の切断刃が形成されていて各半
球半体が最上位のときは恰もスリーブのカッティングエ
ッヂとなってスリーブの往復回動によって掘削と横根
(支根又は側根)切断を行ない、所定深さになった後に
ボールゲートの開閉用油圧シリンダを作動させて根部を
掬い取るように閉じ、両刃が衝合せ状態になる過程で垂
直根の切断と共に立木根部の球状成形を行なう。根が完
全に切断されていればこのままアームによって持上げら
れ移動可能になるが、垂直根の一部が切断されずに残っ
た状態でも容易に引抜くことができる。移植先の穴掘
は、立木の根部切断操作と全く同様であって切断刃を最
上位に保持して装置全体を所定個所の土中に押下げなが
らC形スリーブを開口部の挟み角のほぼ1/2角度往復
回動させて掘削し、所定深さに至ったときボールゲート
を閉動させてスリーブ内の土を掬い採る。この穴の大き
さは移植する根部直径と実質的に同一であるから移植作
