On the outer surface of the frame material, width direction grooves 3 and 4 are formed at points spaced a predetermined distance from the abutting end. The distance between the point where the width direction grooves 3 and 4 are formed and the butt end is determined by the angle 5a of the joint fitting 5 to be described later and the contact parts 5b and 5b.
It corresponds to the length of the arm portions 5c, 5c up to the base of b.

The width grooves 3 and 4 are formed so as to extend in a direction perpendicular to the longitudinal direction of the frame material. Width direction groove 3,
The extension length of 4 is at least equivalent to the width of the joint 5, but may be extended to be wider than the width of the joint 5.
Further, as shown in FIG. 1, the frame members 1 and 2 may be formed over the entire width, and may be arbitrarily determined so as not to affect the strength of the frame members or the appearance after the frame members are constructed.

As shown in FIG. 2, the widthwise grooves 3 and 4 are formed as inclined surfaces 3a and 4a in which the side surfaces of the grooves at the frame material abutting ends gradually approach the ends toward the groove bottoms. The contact parts 5b, 5 of the joint fitting 5 against the inclined surfaces 3a, 4a
The joining fitting 5 is fixed by the engagement of b.

The inner angle θ (FIG. 2) formed between the inclined surfaces 3a and 4a of the width direction grooves 3 and 4 and the outer surfaces of the frame members 1 and 2 is preferably about 30 to 70 degrees, and most preferably about 60 degrees. If the internal angle θ is less than 30 degrees, the portion constituting the internal angle becomes too thin and the strength is insufficient, and the portion is liable to break when joined with the joint fitting 5, while the internal angle θ exceeds 70 degrees. And the angle of engagement between the contact portions 5b, 5b of the joint fitting 5 is too small, so that the joint fitting 5 is easily detached from the frame members 1, 2.

On the outer surfaces of the frame members 1 and 2, longitudinal grooves 6 and 7 can be formed substantially the same as or deeper than the thickness of the joint fitting 5. When the cleave of one of the frame members (the cleave of the horizontal frame 2 in FIG. 5) is exposed at the time of joining by the splicing, the longitudinal groove 7 is formed from the outer surface to the cleaver of the frame member 2, and the longitudinal groove 7 is formed. The direction groove 7 may communicate with the longitudinal groove 6 formed on the outer surface of the other frame member (vertical frame 1). By forming the longitudinal grooves 6 and 7 in this manner, when the joining fitting 5 is locked to the frame materials 1 and 2, it is accommodated in the longitudinal grooves 6 and 7 so as not to protrude from the surface of the frame material. be able to.

The width of the longitudinal grooves 6 and 7 is preferably formed to be substantially the same as the width of the joint fitting 5. Thereby, when the joint 5 is locked to the frame members 1 and 2, the arms 5 c and 5 c of the joint 5 are fitted into the longitudinal grooves 6 and 7, and the vertical frame 1
And the horizontal frame 2 can be prevented from being relatively displaced in the front-rear direction (vertical direction in FIG. 2, FIG. 3, and FIG. 5) (misalignment).

As described above, the arm portions 5c have the same length as the distance from the butted ends of the frame members 1 and 2 to the width grooves 3 and 4, and the arm portions 5c and 5c have the same length.
The angle between them is formed to be substantially the same as or slightly less than 90 degrees, which is the angle formed by the outer surfaces of the butted frame members 1 and 2. By forming the joint at an angle smaller than 90 degrees, the joint 5 is locked in a state of being expanded by the frame material through the elasticity of the material, so that the joint 5 attempts to return to the original angle. Using the force, the frame members 1 and 2 can be more strongly joined.
