2. Description of the Related Art In a conventional general electric heater, a liquid storage container is formed so as to be separable from a heating plate, and a temperature detecting device for detecting a temperature of the liquid in the liquid storage container is arranged near a lower portion of the heating plate in a main body. Configuration. However, in this device, the temperature of the liquid in the liquid container is indirectly detected via the heating plate, so that the temperature of the liquid is hardly transmitted to the temperature detecting device. In this case, the heater was not immediately energized and accurate temperature control could not be performed.

However, in such an electric heater, when the liquid overflows into the through hole of the heating panel and the sliding portion of the temperature detecting device, the liquid flows from the sliding portion into the main body. There is a problem that the liquid may enter, and if the entered liquid enters the vicinity of the temperature detecting device, which is a charged part, insulation is deteriorated and electric shock may be caused. Therefore, there is a method in which a water seal packing is provided on the sliding portion to seal a gap between the sliding portions. However, when the sealing performance is increased, the sliding resistance of the sliding portion increases, and the vertical movement of the temperature detecting device is increased. However, if the sliding resistance of the sliding part is reduced in consideration of the vertical movement of the temperature detecting device, the sealing performance of the sliding part will be reduced, and water leakage from the sliding part will occur. Had the problem of becoming easier.

When the liquid container 2 is placed on the heating plate 18 of the main body 3, the bottom plate 12 of the liquid container 2 is attached to the heat sensitive body 23 of the temperature detecting device 20 as shown in FIG. It comes into contact with the surface 23a and compresses the coil spring 33 to move the temperature detecting device 20 downward. When the electric heater 19 is energized in this state, the heating plate 18 is heated, and the heat is transmitted to the liquid in the container 2 via the bottom plate 12 and the hot water is boiled. When the temperature of the hot water in the container 2 reaches a predetermined temperature set by the operation lever 32, the bimetal plate 27 senses the temperature by the heat conduction from the heat sensitive body 23, and activates the contact fitting 29. Then, the energization of the electric heater 19 is cut off. Then, container 2

The sliding portion between the upper part 25a of the water seal packing 25 and the thermosensitive body 23 is provided with a slight gap so that the sliding action of the thermosensitive body 23 is performed smoothly. If a liquid such as alcohol overflows onto the heating plate 18 by mistake, the liquid such as alcohol may enter the gap, but the liquid is removed by the grease filled in the annular groove 27 of the thermosensitive member 23. Above, it does not get inside the main body.

However, it is conceivable that the grease may impede the water seal, causing the liquid to pass through the grease. In this case, the gap between the heat sensitive body 23 and the upper portion 25a of the water seal packing 25 is removed. Is transmitted to the lower portion 25b of the packing 25, the lower end 25c of the packing 25 is attached to the heat sensitive body 23 in a water-tight manner. The liquid does not leak to the plate 27 side, and the entered liquid is stored in a hollow part formed in the lower part 25b.

As a result, the heat sensitive body 23 moves to the upper limit position, and the lower end 25c of the packing 25 also moves upward with the upward movement of the heat sensitive body 23. When the lower end portion 25c moves upward, the hollow portion 26 formed in the lower portion 25b is deformed and compressed, and the volume of the hollow portion 26 is reduced. The liquid contained in the hollow portion 26 is extruded by the compression of the hollow portion 26, and most of the liquid is discharged onto the heating plate 18 through a gap between the heat sensitive body 23 and the upper portion 25 a of the packing 25. Will be done.

As described above, even if the liquid such as alcohol that the user has erroneously overflowed flows into the hollow portion through the gap between the heat sensitive body and the packing, and the hollow portion is filled with the liquid, The liquid is automatically discharged from the hollow portion by the vertical movement of the temperature detecting device accompanying the attachment / detachment of the liquid storage container to / from the heating plate, and the liquid is prevented from remaining in the hollow portion.

According to the present invention, the water seal packing is interposed between the heat sensitive body and the through hole, the upper part of the packing is loosely fitted, the lower part is provided to be extendable and the lower end part is connected to the heat sensitive body. Since it has been attached, it is possible to prevent water leakage at the sliding part between the through hole of the heating panel and the heat sensitive body of the temperature detection device, and to prevent accidents such as electric shock due to deterioration of insulation beforehand. Up and down movement can be performed smoothly.

Further, since the hollow portion is formed at the lower portion of the water seal packing, the liquid accumulated in the hollow portion is automatically discharged by the upward movement of the temperature detecting device, and the liquid may remain in the hollow portion for a long time. Is prevented.
