2. Description of the Related Art In a conventional general electric heater, a liquid storage container is formed so as to be separable from a heating plate, and a temperature detecting device for detecting a temperature of the liquid in the liquid storage container is arranged near a lower portion of the heating plate in a main body. Configuration. However, in this device, the temperature of the liquid in the liquid container is indirectly detected via the heating plate, so that the temperature of the liquid is hardly transmitted to the temperature detecting device. In this case, the heater was not immediately energized and accurate temperature control could not be performed.

When the liquid container 2 is placed on the heating plate 18 of the main body 3, the bottom plate 12 of the liquid container 2 is attached to the heat sensitive body 23 of the temperature detecting device 20 as shown in FIG. It comes into contact with the surface 23a and compresses the coil spring 33 to move the temperature detecting device 20 downward. When the electric heater 19 is energized in this state, the heating plate 18 is heated, and the heat is transmitted to the liquid in the container 2 via the bottom plate 12 and the hot water is boiled. When the temperature of the hot water in the container 2 reaches a predetermined temperature set by the operation lever 32, the bimetal plate 27 senses the temperature by the heat conduction from the heat sensitive body 23, and activates the contact fitting 29. Then, the energization of the electric heater 19 is cut off. Then, container 2
When the temperature of the liquid in the inside becomes equal to or lower than the predetermined temperature, the bimetal plate 27 returns, and electricity is supplied to the electric heater 19 again, and the temperature is maintained at the set temperature by repeating this operation.

1. A heating plate having an electric heater, a liquid container removably mounted on the heating plate and heated by the electric heater, and provided to be vertically swingable with respect to the heating plate. A temperature detecting device for detecting the bottom temperature of the liquid storage container and operating when the detected value reaches the set temperature and interrupting the supply of power to the electric heater. A heat-sensitive body exposed from the through hole of the heating plate and in contact with the bottom surface of the liquid storage container; a bimetal plate provided below the heat-sensitive body to control the supply of electricity to the electric heater; A gutter arranged between the bimetal plate and having a larger diameter than the through-hole and receiving water leaking from the through-hole;
An electric heater, wherein an end of the gutter protrudes outward from a side of the temperature detecting device, and a drain portion for discharging the water leakage is provided at the protruding portion.
