Abstract

Description

The present invention relates to a sock with a slit at the opening.

As a sock that improves ease of wearing, there is a sock provided with a slit at the opening (Patent Document 1). The sock disclosed in Patent Document 1 is knitted with elastic thread and provided with a slit in the opening with elasticity, so that the opening can be widened to make it easier to wear, and the slit can be opened and closed even during wearing, so that the calf can be adjusted. It is possible to prevent the elastic thread from leaving traces on the leg without tightening (Patent Document 1 [Claim 1] [0006]).

In the sock disclosed in Patent Document 1, when the opening is widened, the slit also widens, and there is a risk that the slit will tear from the lower end. Moreover, the sock disclosed in Patent Document 1 has a wide opening due to the slit, and may slip off. If a slit is provided at the opening of the shoe, the tightness will be loosened, but it is meaningless if the tightness is too loose and the sock slides down. Therefore, in the sock with a slit at the opening of the shoe, a configuration was studied in which the opening is widened to prevent the slit from tearing, and in addition, the opening is appropriately tightened.

As a result of the study, a sock having a slit at the opening is provided with a reinforcing piece at the lower end of the slit. The reinforcing piece is provided at a position continuous with the lower end of the slit. Also, the slit may be formed by providing a pair of binding strings on both sides, distributing the male and female surfaces of the hook-and-loop fastener on both sides, or providing slide fastener elements on both edges. The pair of binding strings or the male and female surfaces of the hook-and-loop fastener may be provided at any height of the slit, but it is preferable to provide them at the upper corners of the slit. The slide fastener is provided with elements on opposite edges of the slit.

The reinforcing piece prevents the slit from tearing due to widening of the opening. In addition, binding strings, hook-and-loop fasteners, and slide fasteners provided in the slits adjust the tightness of the opening to achieve an appropriate tightness. The binding string can adjust the tightness of the opening depending on where on the closing string it is tied. The hook-and-loop fastener can adjust the tightening of the collar at the engagement position of the long male surface against the fixed female surface. If the binding string or hook-and-loop fastener is provided at the upper corner of the slit, it is easy to adjust the tightness of the opening. With the slide fastener, the degree of closure of the slit changes depending on the position of the slider, and the tightening of the opening can be adjusted.

As shown in FIG. 3, the sock 1 of Example 2 has the slit 12 on the back side of the opening 11 while the binding cords 13 are provided on both sides of the slit 12 as in Example 1. As shown in FIG. 5, the sock 1 of another example 4 has a slit 12 on the front side of the opening 11 and a slide fastener 15 in the slit 12 as in the present example. The slide fastener 15 is constructed by attaching elements 151 to opposite edges of the slit 12, closing the slit 12 when the slider 152 is raised, and opening it when the slider 152 is lowered. Depending on the position of the slider 152, the degree of opening and closing of the slit 12 changes, and the tightness of the opening 11 is adjusted.
