【課題】通常のブラッシング（バス法など）によって、短い時間で、効果的に歯垢を落とし、また、歯肉へのマッサージも効果的におこなうことができる歯ブラシを提供する。
【解決手段】歯ブラシのヘッド部に植毛されているブラシ毛１２が、途中で２枝に分枝していることを特徴とする２枝毛型歯ブラシ（ダブルブランチ・ブラシ）であるが、このダブルブランチ・ブラシのブラッシングによって、短い時間で、効果的に口腔内を清掃し、歯肉へのマッサージ効果も向上させることができる（ダブルブランチ効果）。
