2. Description of the Related Art In recent years, mushroom cultivation has been shifted to artificial cultivation using a fungus bed medium mainly composed of sawdust, not only enoki mushrooms, but also a large amount of sawdust is consumed. Have been. The sawdust on the mushroom medium is
In the past, what was used as a by-product during lumbering was used, but it could not catch up with the large amount of consumption, and is currently manufactured by hanging raw logs on sawdust making machines. However, domestically, deforestation has been restrained and there are environmental problems. The number of countries that have banned the export of raw wood has also been increasing, and in the future there will be a chronic shortage of sawdust, and production costs for artificial cultivation of mushrooms will increase. It is expected that this will be quite high. For this reason, corn cob, bamboo, and the like have been studied as alternative materials for sawdust, but as various data show, sawdust, which is a particle or powder of wood, is the best as a main raw material of the fungal bed medium.

[0003] However, at present, the bacterial bed medium is discarded after one use, and its use has been studied, but no success has been seen. For example, utilization as compost has been proposed, but the lignin of sawdust in the waste medium is not decomposed for a long time, and the effect as compost is not sufficient. Since there is no effective use value in this way, the waste medium is only discarded as it is. However, since the waste medium contains a lot of rice bran, seaweed, dead sterilized thread, etc., it is fermented at the disposal place, generating bad smell and breeding ground for various bacteria. The impact on the environment is of concern.

Means for Solving the Problems The present invention makes it possible to reuse a waste medium used for artificial cultivation of mushrooms,
The purpose is to make it possible to cultivate mushrooms at low cost, to minimize the occurrence of pollution, and to effectively use forest resources to avoid environmental destruction. A method for regenerating a waste medium for mushroom bed cultivation, characterized in that a waste medium used for fungal bed cultivation is obtained by drying the waste medium used for cultivation of the fungus bed with hot air while stirring. Sawdust is suitable for fungal bed cultivation of mushrooms because it contains hemicellulose, but hemicellulose is almost consumed in the waste medium. However, lignin is hardly decomposed and remains.
It was found that the portion where hemicellulose was consumed became a cylindrical cavity surrounded by lignin and held a large amount of air.

[0005] The structure of such waste medium provides rather favorable growth conditions for aerobic mushrooms.
Rice bran, seaweed and dead sterile thread remaining in the waste medium,
If these are effectively removed without crushing the cavities formed by lignin, they should be reusable as a raw material for the culture medium. If hemicellulose is required, the extract should be replenished in the medium preparation or new sawdust should be replenished, so that a yield comparable to that of the bacterial bed medium using new sawdust should be obtained. As a result of repeated studies based on such an idea, the present invention has been completed.

The present invention will be described below. The object of the present invention is a waste medium used for fungal bed cultivation of mushrooms. This waste medium may be used for any mushrooms, as long as it is used for cultivation of fungus beds of enoki, shimeji, maitake, shiitake and other mushrooms. In the present invention, the waste medium is dried with hot air while stirring. This operation is desirably performed by a rotary kiln. The rotary kiln is a device for rotating a rotary kiln to blow and dry hot air while stirring and transferring an object, and any rotary kiln having such a configuration may be used. In the present invention, the waste medium is guided into a cylindrical rotary kiln, the kiln is rotated, and while the waste medium is transferred to one side while stirring, the hot medium is blown and dried. Finally, the water content should be 10 to 40%, preferably 20 to 30%.

[0007] The heating temperature in the rotary kiln is 200
Hot air drying is performed for 15 to 60 minutes at a temperature of 400 to 400 ° C, more preferably 280 to 350 ° C. The waste medium that has reached the discharge port is washed by spraying pressurized steam and transported to a desired place by a conveyor. Thus, the medium material is regenerated from the waste medium. When this is actually used as a medium, water and rice bran are added, and if desired, hemicellulose extract or new sawdust may be added.

The waste medium contains rice bran and other contaminants and dead sterilized yarn, and has a high water content of 50-70%. However, when dried with hot air according to the method of the present invention, rice bran residue, other saccharide components, oils and fats The contaminants including the components and the dead sterilized thread are almost completely decomposed by thermal decomposition and substantially remain only in lignin tissue, and the portion where hemicellulose is consumed remains as a cavity. In addition, bacteria and germs are removed, and a sterile state is obtained. Unless the heating temperature is set to 400 ° C. or higher, lignin does not carbonize in the kiln. Cleaning with pressurized steam eliminates dust and combustion residue. Thus, a clean medium raw material having a large air layer is regenerated. Such waste medium is mixed with rice bran, water and, if desired, hemicellulose to form an artificial medium.

[Example] 100 culture bottles with a diameter of 50 millimeters and a capacity of 800 milliliters were filled with a bacterial bed medium using new sawdust and cultivated and harvested only by harvesting, and the used waste medium was scraped out of the harvested culture bottles. About 45kg
Was obtained. This is sequentially guided by a conveyor into the rotary kiln, and hot air is sent in to reduce the temperature inside the kiln to 340
C., the drying time was set while rotating the kiln while the passage time was set to 30 minutes. Pressurized steam was further sprayed on the waste medium that had exited the kiln to wash dust and combustion residues. In this way, 36 kg of a recycled waste medium was obtained, and rice bran and water were added thereto, stirred with a mixer, filled in 50 culture bottles, and cultivated only for enoki. Table 1 shows the growth and the yield of only the enoki which was carried out, the treatment of the waste medium according to the present invention, the use of new sawdust used in parallel for comparison, and the untreated treatment without the treatment as in the present invention. It is each data of the waste culture medium use zone.

[Effects] As described above, the waste medium treated by the method of the present invention is excellent in terms of bacterial growth, growth, and yield, and is inferior to those using new sawdust. This is presumed to be because the regenerated waste medium is rich in the air layer, the growth inhibitor of mushrooms is almost completely eliminated by efficient hot-air drying using a rotary kiln, and there are no bacteria.
