Abstract

【課題】 木材や紙などの２分点や３分点を求める場合において、計測、割り算計算、計測といった手順でおこなわなければならなかったものを、割り算計算をせずに容易にその値を求めたい。
【解決手段】 従来のセンチやインチの目盛りを記した計測用具の、もう一方の側にその目盛りを２分の１や３分の１などに縮小した目盛りを併記することにより、通常目盛りで計測したのと同じ値を縮小目盛りの上で見つけると、それが求める２分点や３分点となる。よって割り算計算をしないで済み手順の簡略化につながる。また手順を逆にすることにより２倍点や３倍点も容易に見つけられることになった。

考案の詳細な説明
考案が解決しようとする課題
従来、木材や紙といった物を２等分あるいは３等分などにするため、２分点や３分点を見つける際は、そのサイズによっては難解な割り算の計算をしなければならないという問題を有していた。
課題を解決するための手段
上記目的を解決するために、物差しやスケールといった計測用具の片側に従来通りのセンチやインチや尺などの目盛りをつけ、もう一方の側には同じ単位を２分の１や３分の１に縮小した目盛りをつけた。これを用いることにより、従来対称物を計測してその数値を２あるいは３などで割るという計算をした後、再度その数値を計測して印を付けていたのを、計測した後ただちに縮小された目盛りの同じ数値のところに印しをつければ、それが求める値であるようにした。
考案の効果
本考案によって作業手順が簡素化され、割り算という計算をせずに済むようになった。また手順を逆にして縮小された目盛りで計測した後、従来の目盛りのその数値の所が２倍点、あるいは３倍点となり、この手順も簡素化された。
