ている。従来のPVA砥石は、ポリビニルアルコール樹
脂、砥粒及び発泡剤を混合し、所定の金型で発泡成型す
ることにより製造されている。しかし、得られたPVA砥
石は、その可撓性及び内部に気泡を有する為、研摩時等
一時的な応力が集中すると脆くて欠けることがたびたび
発生するという問題があった。

合、ロール中心部の水分を飛散させるのに長時間を要
し、生産性が極度に低下する。また、砥粒率を高めるこ
とも十分にできないという問題があった。

散布によって上記水溶性ポリビニルアルコール樹脂粉体
を膨潤溶解すると共に、湿潤状態となし、ロール状に巻
締め、乾燥加熱を行うことにより課題を解消したもので
ある。

高める事ができる。又、砥粒とポリビニルアルコール樹
脂粉体との混合散布により砥石中に含有される砥粒率が
高くなり、研摩,研削能力が向上し、砥石を構成する骨
格繊維に水溶性ポリビニルアルコール繊維製不織布を用
いたことにより弾性を有し、被研削面にもよくなじみ、
欠け、割れ等の発生も防止される等の優れた効果を有す
るものである。
