Abstract

PURPOSE:To curtail the time required for drying and hardening at the time of winding a roll body, so as to improve productive efficiency by using a water soluble polyvinyl alcohol resinous fine particle as a binder of a grinding grain, at a wet condition. CONSTITUTION:On the surface of a nonwoven fabric 1 for which a web formed out of a water soluble polyvinyl alcohol fiber is temporarily stopped by a polyvinyl alcohol resin, a grinding grain mixed water soluble polyvinyl alcohol resin fine particle 4 is homogeneously sprayed and adhered by a bonding agent 2. On the surface of the nonwoven fabric 1, water is given by a spray device 5, and the polyvinyl alcohol resin powder filled and held on the surface and in the fabric is swollen and dissolved, and further, in a wet condition, it is wound and stabilized in a roll, so as to obtain a desired PVA grinding stone 8.

[Detailed Description of the Invention] [Industrial Application Field] The present invention uses PVA that has excellent elasticity and flexibility and has a high abrasive grain rate.
Regarding grindstones and their manufacturing methods PVA grindstones are used for mirror finishing of metals, final finishing of optical parts, precision polishing of electronic parts, and general polishing of curved machines. conventional PVA
A grindstone is manufactured by mixing polyvinyl alcohol resin, abrasive grains, and a foaming agent, and foam-molding the mixture in a predetermined mold. However, the resulting PVA grindstone has a problem in that it is brittle and often breaks when temporary stress is concentrated during polishing because of its flexibility and the presence of air bubbles inside.

Therefore, in order to compensate for the brittleness of the PVA grindstone, it is considered that fibers are mixed in. For example, when a nonwoven fabric made of synthetic fibers is impregnated with a polyvinyl alcohol resin, since the polyvinyl alcohol resin has a high viscosity, it is difficult to disperse abrasive particles, so it is necessary to use the resin at a low concentration. Therefore, when considering the abrasive grain rate, etc., the W, P, and U content of the nonwoven fabric web increases, and the moisture content increases. It takes a long time to complete the process, and productivity is extremely reduced. Further, there was a problem that the abrasive grain ratio could not be sufficiently increased.

The present invention aims to improve the above-mentioned drawbacks, and involves forming a web with 100% water-soluble polyvinyl alcohol fibers, temporarily fixing the web by spraying a polyvinyl alcohol resin solution to form a nonwoven fabric, and then constructing the temporarily fixed nonwoven fabric. By imparting tackiness to the fiber surface, filling and fixing it by spraying water-soluble polyvinyl alcohol resin powder and abrasive grain mixture, then making it wet by spraying water, tightening it into a roll shape, and drying and heating. This problem has been resolved.

As described above, the present invention uses water-soluble polyvinyl alcohol resin powder as a fixing agent for abrasive grains in a wet state.
Unlike conventional polyvinyl alcohol resin/abrasive slurry liquids, it does not take a long time to dry and harden when wound onto a roll body, and can be completed in a short time, greatly increasing production efficiency. In addition, by mixing and dispersing abrasive grains and polyvinyl alcohol resin powder, the percentage of abrasive grains contained in the whetstone increases, improving polishing and grinding ability, and the skeleton fibers that make up the whetstone are made of water-soluble polyvinyl alcohol fiber nonwoven fabric. By using this material, it has elasticity, conforms well to the surface to be ground, and has excellent effects such as preventing the occurrence of chips, cracks, etc.
