In general, honeycomb-structured ceramic building materials made of clay as the main raw material and fired at about 800 ° C or higher have a 5%
Because of the shrinkage of about 5% during the firing step, small irregularities as shown in Japanese Utility Model Application Laid-Open No. Sho 60-177238 appeared on the decorative surface corresponding to the partition walls (grids).

However, a flat decorative surface cannot be formed on the partition walls (grids) of the honeycomb, and there is a disadvantage that a difference in gloss is remarkably observed particularly when a glaze is applied or polished. This is presumed to be due to the fact that the contraction of the portion where the upper end of the partition wall and the decorative surface are continuous is larger than the contraction of the decorative surface between the partition lattices.

〔課題を解決するための手段〕[Means for solving the problem]

In order to eliminate such a drawback, the present invention forms the honeycomb in two or more stages and reduces the thickness of the decorative surface end of the partition wall continuous with the decorative surface by 20% or more than the decorative surface plate thickness. An object of the present invention is to propose a ceramic building material having a beautiful and flat decorative surface, in which the force of the partition wall for shrinking the decorative surface is significantly reduced by the two structures, and the appearance of irregularities on the decorative surface is substantially suppressed.

That is, FIG. 1 is a partially cutaway perspective view showing an example of the above-mentioned building material. Reference numeral 1 denotes a ceramic building material. ′, The cross section is formed into a honeycomb structure from a plurality of hollow portions 6 and 7 and small concave grooves 8 provided in parallel with the decorative surface 2. More specifically, the ceramic building material 1 is made of clay such as silica sand, kaolin, montmorillonite, bentonite, halloysite, pyrophyllant, or the like, or artificially composed of mica, carbon fiber, silicon fiber, and alumina. Fiber, polyimide, asbestos, wollastenite, quartz,
Clay to which one or more kinds of silicate minerals such as feldspar, glass fiber, etc., polyethylene fiber, iron, organic substance, etc. are added as required, can be used as a honeycomb structured plate (5 to 100 mm).
Extrusion molding), dry the dough board, 800-1
Fired at 450 ° C. The hollow portions 6 and 7 are formed in a plurality of steps, and have a shape in which the pulling force on the decorative surface 2 is further reduced and improve the strength. Small groove 8
Is the decorative surface 2 of the partition 5 as shown in FIGS. 2 (a) to 2 (g).
The thickness of the end portion 5a which is continuous with the above is formed as thin as t 3 , and the thickness is such that the contraction of the partition wall 5 during drying and firing does not substantially act on the surface of the decorative surface 2. That is,
(A) is a semicircle, (b) is a V-shape, (c) is a rectangle, (d) is a narrow curved surface, (e) is a triangle,
(F) is a trapezoidal shape, and (g) is an end portion 5a formed in a multi-strip groove shape. Incidentally, t 1 the thickness of the decorative surface 2, the thickness t 2 of the partition wall 5, when the thickness of the small concave groove 8 portion and t 3, for example, t 1 =
Set to about 3 to 30 mm, t2 = 3 to 20 mm, t3 = about 2 to 10 mm.
Of course, the specific wall thickness cannot be specified unconditionally depending on the firing temperature, shape, and raw material composition, and is selected by various experiments.

As described above, the ceramic building material according to the present invention has a smaller water absorption, is more resistant to frost damage, and has dimensional stability, as compared with cement-based and ALC-based ceramic building materials. An uneven pattern due to the arrangement of the partition walls does not appear on the decorative surface, and a flat decorative surface is obtained. Polishing of the decorative surface, glaze can be formed uniformly, and the decorative surface can have a beautiful appearance. An arbitrary pattern can be formed on the decorative surface. There are features and effects such as.
