示するもので、適宜の駆動装置(図示略)により、レー
ル(1)(1)上を往復走行させられる門型洗車機
(2)には、左右のサイドブラシ(3)(3)とトップ
ブラシ(図示省略)と左右のロッカーブラシ(4)
(4)が装着され、各ブラシ(3)(4)は、洗車装置

輛(11)を乗り上げ位置(A)から洗車開始位置(B)
まで移動させるアプローチ走行のための時間とが必要で
あり、実際に洗車作業が開始するまでに、かなりの長時
間を要することとなる。 乗り上げ位置(A)を洗車開始位置(B)に近接させ
れば、アプローチ走行時間は短縮されるが、洗車機
(2)の脚部(2a)により、車輛(11)の運転席のドア
(13)の開閉が困難となるので、乗り上げ位置(A)を
洗車機(2)へ十分に接近させることはできず,アプロ

短縮し、もって上述の問題点の解決を図ったものであ
る。 その具体的手段は、車輛の少なくとも一部を載置し
て、車輛を往復移動させる台車と、前記車輛を跨いで前
記台車と同方向に移動可能な門型洗車機とを相対的に移
動させつつ洗車する洗車方法において、車輛のドアが洗
車機から離れた乗り上げ位置において、車輛の少なくと
も一部を台車上に載置し、次いで始動スイッチを入れる
ことにより、洗浄用ブラシ等を、洗車機内の待機位置よ
り洗車作業開始位置まで移動させて、洗車準備作業を行
わせ、かつそれと並行して、台車及び車輛を、乗り上げ
位置から、ブラシ等により洗車が行われる洗車開始位置
までアプローチ走行させ、車輛が洗車開始位置に達する
と、その旨を検知するセンサにより台車の走行を停止さ
せ、かつこの台車の停止と、洗車準備作業の終了とを条
件として、各ブラシ等により洗車作業を開始させること
にある。 〔作用〕 洗車機の洗車準備作業と、車輛等のアプローチ走行と
が並行して行なわれるので、時間の無駄がなく、洗車装
置の稼働率が向上する。 〔実施例〕 本発明の洗車方法は、上述した従来の洗車方法に使用
される洗車装置と大部分が同一であるので、同じ図面に
ついて、本発明を説明する。 本発明の実施にあたっては、上述の従来の洗車装置に
おいて、車輛(11)の先端が洗車機(2)に対する洗車
開始位置(B)に達したことを検知する検知手段とし
て、洗車機(2)の上壁(図示略)の下面に、例えば公
知の超音波センサ、又は光電センサ等よりなるセンサ
(14)を設けておき、また台車(6)の駆動装置(10)
を、始動スイッチ(2b)により作動させられて、台車
(6)及び車輛(11)を、乗り上げ位置(A)から洗車
開始位置(B)まで移動させるとともに、上記センサ
(14)の作動により、台車(6)及び車輛(11)の移動
を停止させるようなものとしてある。 その他の構成は、上述の従来のものと同一である。 洗車をするには、まず、車輛(11)のドア(13)の開
閉が洗車機(2)により妨げられないように、ドア(1
3)が洗車機(2)から離れている乗り上げ位置(A)
において、車輛(11)の前輪(12)を台車(6)上に載
せる。 次いで始動スイッチ(2b)を投入すると、ブラシ
(3)(4)等は、洗車機(2)内の待避位置より、図
示の洗車作業開始位置まで移動させられて、洗車準備作
業が行われる。 また、それと並行して、駆動装置(10)は作動し、台
車(6)及び車輛(11)を、乗り上げ位置(A)から、

並行して行なわれるので、洗車開始までに要する時間が
短縮され、洗車装置の稼動率が向上する。 しかも、そのために高価かつ特殊な装置を必要としな
いので、従来の洗車装置を利用して、容易に実施するこ
とができる。
