DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION <Industrial application field> Conventionally, ink printed on a paper printed by a transfer printing machine has been dried by a drying device. This dryer has 10
Generally, hot air of 0 to 110 ° C. is blown onto the paper. At this time, while evaporating the solvent component in the ink,
The moisture in the paper was also evaporated. For this reason, the paper is very brittle, and when the paper is folded in the folding step, which is a post-drying step, cracks may occur at the folds. Also, when spelling a book in the bookbinding process,
Especially in the case of saddle-stitched books, the printed material printed by the transfer printing machine is often used as the center fold or cover,
When a fold portion of a sheet is rubbed in the bookbinding process or when wire binding is performed, there is a problem that a crack occurs in the fold portion and a book page falls off after bookbinding. To solve these problems, Japanese Patent Publication No. Sho 61-5983 discloses a device and a method for preventing cracks in which a printed paper is passed through a drying device and then a porous material containing water is pressed against the folded portion of the paper to give water. It is disclosed in the gazette.

<Problems to be solved by the invention> However, in the above-described apparatus and method,
After drying, water is supplied by using a porous material impregnated with water and bringing this porous material into contact with paper,
When the paper itself is deteriorated due to drying, or when the papers are stacked after the folding process, the ink remaining on the surface of the paper dissolves the ink, resulting in deterioration in quality and generation of defective products.
In addition, since the porous material is in direct contact with the paper, ink and other stains are easily picked up, and in order to prevent the printed material from being stained, it is necessary to replace the porous material used for a certain period of time. Further, the humidifying device is fixed, and there is a problem that it cannot cope with a change in the position of the fold of the paper.

The paper 7 supplied from the paper feeding device 1
Printed with In the case of color printing, the printing unit 2
As shown in Fig. 1, it has four units of black, indigo, red, and yellow, and each color is printed sequentially. Next, the sheet 7 printed by the printing unit 2 is supplied by the humidifier 6 to a position corresponding to a fold in a post-process. After the solvent in the printing ink is evaporated by the drying device 3, the paper 7 is sent to the folding device 5, and the sheet 7 is folded into a predetermined form.

FIG. 2 shows a humidifier. The humidifying device 6 includes a spraying device 8 and a holder 9 for fixing the spraying device 8.
The spraying device 8 includes a liquid supply pipe 10 and a compressed air supply pipe 1
1, consisting of a nozzle 12 for spraying liquid, inside the nozzle 12, a valve for turning on and off the liquid supplied from the liquid supply pipe 10, a valve for turning on and off the compressed air supplied from the compressed air supply pipe 11 Is provided. Although the nozzle 12 is fixed by the holder 9, the nozzle 12 can be fixed at an arbitrary position by moving the holder 9 in the width direction of the paper 7.
This is to cope with a change in the fold position of the sheet 7. When a plurality of folds are generated in the sheet 7, the humidifying devices 6 can be provided in a required number.

When printing is started, the valve for entering / exiting the liquid inside the nozzle 12 and the valve for entering / exiting the compressed air are opened, and the liquid from the liquid supply source 10 is supplied by the compressed air from the compressed air source 11 to the nozzle 12. And sprayed at a position corresponding to the fold portion of the paper 7. Therefore, only the fold portion is protected by the liquid, and even if the moisture contained in the paper 7 is evaporated by the drying device 3, only the fold portion does not crack in the folding step even after drying, even if it is dried by the liquid by the humidifying device 6. Only sufficient moisture can be kept, and the fold portion of the paper 7 can be prevented from becoming brittle due to drying.

<Effects of the Invention> As described above, the present invention is to prevent a break in a fold portion of a sheet in a folding step due to evaporation of moisture in the sheet by supplying a liquid to a position corresponding to the fold of the sheet by a spraying device. Can be done. In particular, spraying the liquid on the paper before drying protects the paper and prevents the paper itself from deteriorating due to the drying device, and the moisture after drying exists only in the paper and does not remain on the surface. Also, there is no occurrence of troubles such as melting of the ink. In addition, there is no dirt due to the contact between the spraying device and the sheet, and the spraying device has excellent effects such as the nozzle position can be freely adjusted in accordance with the location where the sheet is folded.
