Field of the Invention The present invention relates to a solution composition for forming a water-repellent film on a glass substrate surface or the like. The water-repellent glass having the water-repellent film formed by using the forming solution of the present invention can be used for a window glass, a mirror and the like of an automobile. 2. Description of the Related Art Water-repellent glass has been studied for the purpose of repelling water droplets attached to a window glass or a side mirror in rainy weather or the like and improving visibility. For example, it is conceivable to make the glass itself water-repellent, but at present there are many technical problems to be solved and the glass has not been put to practical use. Therefore, it has been conceived to form a water-repellent transparent film on the surface of a glass substrate, and various proposals have been made. For example, there has been proposed a water-repellent glass having a silicone resin film such as polydimethylsiloxane on the surface of a glass substrate. Since the silicone resin has extremely good water repellency, the water repellent glass has excellent water repellency. However, a water-repellent glass having a silicone-based resin film has a problem that the weather resistance of the water-repellent film is insufficient and the life of the water-repellent film is short in practical use. It is also clear that the cause is as follows. That is, the silicone resin film can transmit water. Therefore, water permeates the water-repellent film and reaches the glass substrate, and elutes the alkali component contained in the glass substrate. On the other hand, since it is difficult to say that a silicone-based resin has good alkali resistance, it is hydrolyzed by the alkali component and the water repellency is reduced. [0004] Accordingly, the present inventors have aimed to improve the alkali resistance of a water-repellent film to maintain water repellency for a long period of time and to improve the adhesion to a glass substrate. As a result of diligent research, a method for forming a highly durable water-repellent film by the sol-gel method was developed (Japanese Patent Application No. Hei.
No. 107417). In this method, a forming solution comprising a silicon alkoxide, a substituted silicon alkoxide in which a part of an alkoxyl group is substituted with a fluoroalkyl group, an alcohol, water, and an acid or a base is applied to a glass substrate surface and baked. Thus, a siloxane bond is grown to form a water-repellent film. According to this method, a water-repellent film that is dense, has high hardness, and is excellent in durability can be easily formed. The above-mentioned publication discloses an example in which a glass substrate is formed by a so-called dipping method in which the glass substrate is immersed in a forming solution and gradually pulled up. However, in the dipping method, the film formation time is long, and the longer the film thickness, the longer the time is required. Further, since the composition of the forming solution in the dipping tank changes with time, it is necessary to manage the solution. Further, when the composition of the forming solution in the tank reaches the control limit, the entire amount of the forming solution in the tank has to be updated, which has been a factor of cost increase. Accordingly, the present inventors have studied the application of a spin coating method as a film forming method instead of the dipping method. The spin coating method is a method in which a forming solution is dropped on the surface of a substrate rotating at a high speed, and the film is spread and spread using a centrifugal force. There is an advantage that the film thickness can be easily controlled by adjusting the drop amount and the rotation speed. Then, since the required amount of the forming solution is dropped every time the film is formed, it is not necessary to manage the solution or update the total amount. However, it is clear that the water-repellent film formed by spin coating from the above forming solution has lower water repellency than that formed by the dipping method, and is inferior in chemical resistance, particularly alkali resistance. It became. The present invention has been made in view of such circumstances, and even when a film is formed using a spin coating method, water repellency and chemical resistance are equivalent to those formed by a dipping method. The purpose is to do the above. [0008] The solution for forming a highly durable water-repellent film of the present invention that solves the above-mentioned problems includes a metal alkoxide represented by M (OR) n and a part of the alkoxyl group having a fluoro group. a substituted metal alkoxide substituted with an alkyl group, and water, an acid or a base, a solvent containing a high-boiling solvent or 80 ° C. boiling point consists, the substituted metal alkoxide is 10 mol% MatsuMitsuru of total alkoxide amount And the content of the high boiling point solvent is 30 to 50 of the total solvent amount.
% By weight . As the metal alkoxide, a silicon alkoxide, a titanium alkoxide, a zirconium alkoxide, an aluminum alkoxide, or the like can be selected and used according to the material of the material on which the water-repellent film is formed. When a transparent water-repellent film is formed on a glass substrate, it is preferable that a silicon alkoxide is mainly contained and a titanium alkoxide, a zirconium alkoxide, an aluminum alkoxide, or the like not more than 50% (mol%) of the silicon alkoxide is contained. Thereby, the refractive index of the water-repellent film can be adjusted, and optical interference is prevented. When a water-repellent film is formed on a glass substrate, it is also preferable to mix the phosphorus alkoxide in an amount of 20% (mol%) or less of the total alkoxide. Since the phosphorus element traps alkali ions in the glass substrate, diffusion of the alkali ions in the water-repellent film is suppressed, and the durability of the water-repellent film is further improved. The substituted metal alkoxide is obtained by substituting a part of the alkoxyl group of the metal alkoxide with a fluoroalkyl group. With this substituted metal alkoxide, a fluoroalkyl group can be introduced into the formed film, and water repellency can be imparted. The amount of the substituted metal alkoxide is less than 10% (mol%) of the total alkoxide amount. Thereby, both water repellency and hardness of the water repellent film can be achieved. When the amount of the substituted metal alkoxide exceeds 10% of the total alkoxide amount, the hardness of the water-repellent film is reduced, and the alkoxide cannot be put to practical use. When the total alkoxide content is 5% or less, a water-repellent film having particularly excellent hardness can be obtained. The solvent dissolves the above alkoxide, and desirably contains an alcohol having the same alkyl group as the alkyl group as a component of the alkoxide used. The greatest feature of the present invention is that the solvent contains a high-boiling solvent having a boiling point of 80 ° C. or more. This high boiling point solvent must be compatible with the above alcohol and water and have a vapor pressure lower than that of ethyl alcohol, such as isopropyl alcohol, n-propyl alcohol, isobutyl alcohol, n-butyl alcohol, sec-butyl. Alcohol, tert-butyl alcohol, ethyl cellosolve, butyl cellosolve, diacetone alcohol and the like can be used. If the content of the high boiling point solvent is included even a little, the effect can be obtained accordingly. However, the effect is saturated even if it is contained at 50% by weight or more in the total solvent, and the time required for drying becomes long. The water and the acid or base are involved in the hydrolysis reaction of the alkoxide, and the water is blended so as to be at least twice the molar amount of the alkoxide. The amount of the acid or the base is determined by the required film thickness. The forming solution of the present invention can use not only spin coating but also known coating means such as dipping and spraying. Then, it is fired after forming the film to form a water-repellent film. The thickness of the coating film is not particularly limited. In the case of the spin coating method, the thickness is usually 20 to 1000 nm after firing. Usually, a drying step for removing water and a solvent is performed prior to firing. When performing this baking in the air, it is desirable to perform at a temperature of 350 ° C. or less. If the temperature exceeds 350 ° C., the fluoroalkyl group is decomposed by the oxidation reaction, and the water repellency decreases. The baking is also preferably performed by introducing a small amount of steam into the atmosphere. By doing so, hydrolysis of the alkoxide in the final reaction is promoted, and a more dense and hard water-repellent film can be formed. It is also preferable to perform calcination in the presence of ammonia gas. Thereby, the metal oxide is partially oxynitrided, and the hardness of the water-repellent film is further improved. When forming a film by the spin coating method, a forming solution dropped onto a rotating substrate is instantaneously radially spread radially by centrifugal force and formed into a very thin film. Therefore, in the conventional forming solution, since the solvent is mainly ethyl alcohol, drying of the solvent in the film proceeds at an early stage, resulting in unevenness of the film after film formation, resulting in poor appearance, and a fluoroalkyl group in the film. Molecules are difficult to move. Therefore, it is considered that the orientation of the fluoroalkyl group, which is a water-repellent group, to the film surface becomes difficult, and the water-repellency is reduced. However, in the forming solution of the present invention, since a high boiling point solvent is contained in the solvent, a high concentration of the solvent remains in the film even when formed by the spin coating method. Therefore, it is considered that the degree of freedom of molecular motion is increased and the orientation of the fluoroalkyl group on the film surface proceeds, so that the water repellency is improved. Further, it is considered that the leveling property of the film is improved, so that the film thickness is uniform and the appearance is improved, and as a result, the chemical resistance is also improved. Hereinafter, the present invention will be described specifically with reference to examples. (Example 1) In a 1-liter beaker, 50 g of tetraethoxysilane and fluoroalkylsilane
1.37 g of (CF 3 (CF) 7 CH 2 CH 2 Si (OCH 3 ) 3 ), 341.3 g of ethyl alcohol, and 85.3 g of ethyl cellosolve as a high boiling point solvent were mixed, and 21.3 g of water and 01.3 g of 0.
. 26.4 g of a 1N hydrochloric acid aqueous solution was added, and the mixture was stirred for 2 hours. The content of ethyl cellosolve in all solvents is 20% by weight. This solution was aged at 25 ° C. for 5 days to obtain a forming solution of this example. In this embodiment, tetraethoxysilane is used, but metal alkoxides such as tetramethoxysilane, triethoxysilane, and trimethoxysilane, and fluorinated compounds thereof can also be used. Next, a glass substrate of 100 mm square was prepared, and 1.5 cc of the above-mentioned forming solution was dropped at the center while rotating at 2,000 rpm, and rotated for 10 seconds to form a film. And it baked at 250 degreeC for 1 hour, and formed the water-repellent film. The thickness of this water-repellent film is 87n
m. The contact angle of the obtained water repellent film with water was measured, and the results are shown in FIG. In addition, in order to investigate the alkali resistance, an alkali resistance test was performed by immersion in a 0.1 N NaOH aqueous solution for 2 hours, and the contact angle with water was measured to calculate the rate of decrease in the contact angle. . Then, the content of ethyl cellosolve in the solvent is changed between 10 and 50% by weight, and the difference between the amount of the solvent in the formation solution and the amount of ethyl alcohol is adjusted by increasing or decreasing the amount of ethyl alcohol. FIG. 1 shows the results of measuring the contact angle after forming a water-repellent film on the substrate, and FIG. 2 shows the results of calculating the rate of decrease in the contact angle after the alkali resistance test. (Comparative Example) A forming solution of a comparative example was prepared in the same manner as in Example 1 except that 426.6 g of ethyl alcohol was used without using ethyl cellosolve. Then, a water-repellent film was formed in the same manner as in Example 1, and the results of measuring the contact angle in the same manner are shown in FIG. 1, and the results of calculating the rate of decrease in the contact angle after the alkali resistance test are shown in FIG. Example 2 Example 1 except that butyl cellosolve was used instead of ethyl cellosolve.
A forming solution was prepared in the same manner as described above. Then, a water-repellent film is formed in the same manner as in Example 1,
Similarly, FIG. 1 shows the result of measuring the contact angle, and FIG. 2 shows the result of calculating the rate of decrease in the contact angle after the alkali resistance test. (Evaluation) It can be seen from FIG. 1 that as the content of the high boiling point solvent increases, the contact angle increases and the water repellency improves. In addition, since butyl cellosolve has higher water repellency than ethyl cellosolve, it can be seen that the higher the boiling point, the greater the effect. FIG. 2 shows that as the content of the high boiling point solvent increases, the decrease rate of the contact angle decreases, and the alkali resistance is excellent. Also in this case, the effect is larger when a solvent having a higher boiling point is used. The effect of water repellency is saturated when the content of the high-boiling solvent is 30 to 50% by weight, and the effect is saturated when the alkali resistance is about 50% by weight. . According to the solution for forming a highly durable water-repellent film of the present invention, a water-repellent film excellent in water repellency and alkali resistance can be formed by spin coating. Therefore, the film forming time is shortened and the control of the film thickness is facilitated. Since a required amount is dropped for each film formation, the trouble of managing and updating the forming solution is not required, and the number of steps is reduced. As a result, production costs can be reduced. Further, the addition of a high boiling point solvent improves the leveling property at the time of film formation, obtains a uniform film, prevents condensation due to rapid evaporation of the solvent at the time of film formation, and makes the film cloudy due to the condensation. Is prevented.
