2. Description of the Related Art Generally, a liquid crystal display device uses a liquid crystal cell in which liquid crystal is filled between two substrates having electrodes on opposite surfaces. If the liquid crystal adheres to the outside of the two substrates, not only a clear display screen cannot be obtained, but also other electronic parts may be adversely affected, and therefore they must be removed.

Conventionally, Freon 113, 1,1,1-trichloroethane, etc. have been used to remove the liquid crystal adhering to the substrate, etc., but these are environmental pollution problems such as destruction of the ozone layer in the sky and toxicity. Problem and its use is being limited. Further, although washing with sugars and alcohols has also been carried out, these have no problems of environmental pollution and toxicity, but they are not sufficient in removing liquid crystal stains.

Embedded image Hereinafter, the aqueous cleaning composition for liquid crystals of the present invention will be described in detail. In the alkylene oxide compound of the component (A) of the present invention, the general formula (I), (II) and (III)
It is necessary that R 1 therein is a hydrocarbon residue having 6 to 18 carbon atoms. When the carbon number is less than 6, the oil solubility is low and the affinity of the liquid crystal with the organic stain is lowered. When the carbon number is more than 18, the liquid crystal stain removability is lowered with the increase in viscosity. Further, there is a problem that the alkylene oxide adduct is deposited in the winter.

R 1 is preferably an alkyl group having 6 to 18 carbon atoms or an aromatic hydrocarbon residue, particularly an alkyl group having 8 to 14 carbon atoms or an allylalkyl group. Further, m, n in the general formulas (I), (II) and (III) of the above chemical formula 3,
l and p are m = 1 to 30, n = 0 to 30, and l = in order to secure the affinity and penetrability of the liquid crystal for organic stains.
0-30, p = 0-30, m + n ≦ 30, l + p ≦ 3
It is necessary that the number be 0, and particularly, those in which m + n and l + p are 3 to 15 respectively exhibit excellent effects. Further, as Y, an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms is particularly preferable.

When q + r is 0, the solubility in water is insufficient, and when q + r exceeds 10, the viscosity increases when compounded with the above-mentioned component (A), and the viscosity increases in a narrow gap portion of the liquid crystal substrate. The cleanability of the adhered dirt is reduced. The component (B) can be blended alone or in combination of two or more. In the component (A) and the component (B), the compounding ratio (weight ratio) of the component (A) and the component (B) is (A) component / (B) component = 9/1 to 1/9, preferably Is 7/1 to 1/7, and the total content of the component (A) and the component (B) is 10 to 85% by weight in the composition, preferably 30 to
It is blended so as to be 60% by weight (hereinafter, simply indicated by "%").

By combining the above-mentioned component (A) and the above-mentioned component (B) in the above-mentioned mixing ratio, the viscosity of the product is lowered as compared with the case where the component (A) is used alone, and the cleaning property, particularly the liquid crystal substrate Improves the cleanability of dirt adhering to narrow gaps. In addition, if the total content of the above-mentioned component (A) and the above-mentioned (B) component is less than 10%, the detergency and its sustainability are insufficient, and even if it exceeds 85%, the cost-by-performance is compounded. It cannot be said that it is effective from the viewpoint of.
