"Prior art" Window frames made of synthetic resin such as polyvinyl chloride are cheaper than metal window frames and have excellent heat insulation properties and are difficult to condense. Since it is inferior in heat resistance and heat resistance, it is likely to be limited to indoor use,
Also, it is easy to be inferior in terms of design.

Therefore, on the surface of the window frame, a covering sheet made of acrylic resin or the like having excellent weather resistance and heat resistance, or a covering sheet for decoration with wood grain printing or the like is attached to protect it from the sunlight or heat, or It is considered to improve the design. In this case, generally, the four sides of the window frame are constituted by a rod-shaped frame material manufactured by extrusion molding, a covering sheet is pasted on the rod-shaped frame material, and the rod-shaped frame materials are joined to each other to form a window. It is configured as a frame.

[Problems to be Solved by the Invention] However, in the case of joining the rod-shaped frame members by butt fusion welding, a phenomenon in which the molten resin rises on the surface of the rod-shaped frame member 1 as shown in FIG. Occurs. Therefore, it is necessary to grind the raised portion X, but the covering sheet 2 is also ground together, so that the main body of the rod-shaped frame member 1 is exposed as shown in FIG. 4 (b). Occurs.

First, each bar-shaped frame material forming the main frame 15 and the press frame 16 is formed by extrusion molding, and these front plates 18A, 18B, 18
Attach the covering sheets 24A and 24B to C. Then, the end portions of these rod-shaped frame members are cut at an angle of 45 °, and the outer surface portion is cut while leaving the vicinity of the back surface of the cut end surfaces of the front plates 18A, 18B, and 18C. As shown in (a), a relief portion 29 is formed which is recessed from other portions (only the front plate of the rod-shaped frame member is shown in FIG. 1 and FIG. 3 described later). Next, the end faces of the protruding portion 30 and the reinforcing portion 19 on the cut end face of each rod-shaped frame member are butted and joined by heat fusion.
As the heat fusion method, for example, a heating plate H is interposed between the both protruding portions 30 and the reinforcing portion 19 as shown by a chain line in FIG. There is a method of removing the plate H and abutting them. At this time, a constant pressing force is applied in the butting direction, and the resin of the melted projecting portion 30 is crushed to bring the end surfaces of the escape portions 29 into the butted state. In this case, the crushed resin is in a state of abutting between the end faces of the escape portion 29, so that the front plate 18A, 18B, 18C on the opposite side of the escape portion 29 is in contact with each other as shown in FIG. 1 (b). It rises on the back side.

Therefore, the rising portion of the molten resin does not occur on the outer surface of the front plate 18A, 18B, 18C, and the cover sheet 24A
-The 24Bs are abutted flush with the surface of the front plates 18A, 18B, and 18C to enhance the design. Further, since the back surfaces of the front plates 18A, 18B, and 18C are completely fused to each other, good waterproofness can be exhibited even when used in a location exposed to rainwater or the like. On the other hand, since only the outer surface side of the front plate 18A, 18B, 18C is the non-fusing part 25, the front plate 18A, 18B, 18C
The necessary strength can be maintained by the back surface portion and the fusion-bonded portion 26 in the reinforcing portion 19.

On the other hand, in one embodiment, the escape portion 29 and the protruding portion 30 are formed in a part of the wall thickness of the front plate 18A, 18B, 18C, but when the waterproof requirement is small or other means are used to ensure the waterproofness. If possible, as shown in FIG. 3, front plates 18A, 18B,
Relief part 2 in which the entire end face of 18C is recessed from the end face of the reinforcing part 19.
Alternatively, the end surface of the reinforcing portion 19 may be used as the protruding portion 30, and only the reinforcing portion 19 may be fused. In this case, if waterproofness is required, the relief part 29 of the front plate 18A, 18B, 18C
It is also possible to apply an adhesive agent to the end faces of the above in advance and to bond the front plates 18A, 18B, and 18C by fusing the reinforcing portions 19. With the structure shown in FIG. 3, the relief portion 29 does not interfere even if it reaches a part of the reinforcing portion 19, so that the cutting process thereof becomes easy.

(I) In the window frame according to claim 1, since the sticking portion of the covering sheet is a non-fusing portion and the synthetic resin is not melted, the rising portion of the covering sheet is prevented from occurring, and the surface of the covering sheet is prevented. It can be finished flush.

(Ii) In the manufacturing method according to the second aspect, since fusion does not occur in the relief portion, the phenomenon of the molten resin squeezing out does not occur, and the end faces of the relief portion are brought into abutting state while crushing the resin in the fusion portion. Therefore, the surface of the cover sheet can be finished flush.
