【考案の詳細な説明】

【産業上の利用分野】本考案は例えば自動車のピラーに
被着されるトリムの端末構造に関するものである。
【０００２】
【従来の技術】従来、例えば自動車のピラーにあって
は、図２に示すようにピラーのパネル(1) の表面に芯材
(21)と表皮(22)とからなるトリム(2) を被着し、該パネ
ル(1) 端末にウェルトフランジ(11)を形成し、該ウェル
トフランジ(11)にウェルト(3) を被着し、該ウェルト
(3) のリップ(31)と該パネル(1) との間に該トリム(2)
の端末部分(23)を挟んだ構造が提供されていた。

【考案が解決しようとする課題】上記従来の構造では、
トリム(2) を挟んだ部分で該パネル(1) 端末部分をトリ
ム(2) の厚みだけ図２の二点鎖線から実線位置まで引込
めて引込め部(12)を形成しなければならないが、自動車
によってはトリム(2) を使用しないグレードのものもあ
り、このグレードのものでは図３に示すようにパネル
(1) の引込め部(12)ではウェルト(3) のリップ(31)とパ
ネル(1) との間に隙間Ｃが生じ、外観的に好ましくない
状態となる。

【課題を解決するための手段】本考案は上記従来の課題
を解決するための手段として、パネル(1) 表面に芯材(2
1)と表皮(22)とからなるトリム(2) を被着し、該パネル
(1) 端末に形成したウェルトフランジ(11)にウェルト
(3) を嵌着し、該ウェルト(3) のリップ(31)と該パネル
(1) 端末部分との間に該トリム(2) の端末部分(23)を挟
んだ構造であって、該トリム(2) の端末部分(23)の芯材
(21)を切欠いて表皮(22)のみとしたトリム(2) の端末構
造を提供するものである。

【作用】トリム(2) の端末部分(23)においては芯材(21)
が切欠かれて表皮(22)のみとなっているから、パネル
(1) 端末のウェルトフランジ(11)に嵌着されているウェ
ルト(3) のリップ(31)とパネル(1) との間には厚みのな
い表皮(22)のみが挟持されることになり、したがってパ
ネル(1) の端末部分に引込め部を形成させる必要がな
く、パネル(1) は所定の形状をくずすことなくプレス成
形等によって成形することが出来る。

【実施例】本考案を図１に示す一実施例によって説明す
れば、パネル(1) の端末部分は所定の形状にプレス成形
され、その端末にはウェルトフランジ(11)が形成され、
該ウェルトフランジ(11)にはウェルト(3) が嵌着されて
おり、更に該パネル(1) の表面には芯材(21)と表皮(22)
とからなるトリム(2) が被着され、該トリム(2) の端末
部分(23)においては芯材(21)が切欠かれて表皮(22)のみ
とされており、該表皮(22)が該ウェルト(3) のリップ(3
1)とパネル(1) との間に挟持されている。

【考案の効果】したがって本考案においては、ウェルト
のリップとパネルとの間には厚みのない表皮のみが挟持
されているから、該パネルには引込め部を形成する必要
がな意から、所定の形状をくずすことなくプレス成形等
によって成形され、トリムのないグレードの場合でも、
ウェルトのリップとパネルとの間には隙間が生じないの
で外観的に好ましい状態が維持される。

  1. 【請求項１】パネル表面に芯材と表皮とからなるトリム
    を被着し、該パネル端末に形成したウェルトフランジに
    ウェルトを嵌着し、該ウェルトのリップと該パネル端末
    部分との間に該トリムの端末部分を挟んだ構造であっ
    て、該トリムの端末部分の芯材を切欠いて表皮のみとし
    たことを特徴とするトリムの端末構造
