前記担体材料(5)が、燃料電池膜電極アセンブリ(10)の陽極(4)とガス拡散層(12)との間に配置されるバリア層(11)に存在し、前記バリア層(11)がさらに、少なくとも1つのポリマーバインダー(13)を含む、ことを特徴とする、燃料電池膜電極アセンブリ。 - 前記酸化イリジウム(8)が、他の金属酸化物との混合物または合金内に存在し、および/または、
前記担体材料(5)の総重量に対する、金属イリジウムに基づく、酸化イリジウム(8)の重量分率は、多くとも35wt%であり、より好ましくは多くとも25wt%である、ことを特徴とする請求項1または2に記載の燃料電池膜電極アセンブリ(1、10)。 - 前記バリア層および/または前記陽極(11)における、金属イリジウムに基づく酸化イリジウム(8)の面重量が、多くとも0.05mgIr/cm2、好ましくは0.03mgIr/cm2未満である、請求項2または3に記載の燃料電池膜電極アセンブリ(1,10)。
- 前記セラミック材料(6)が金属酸化物であり、前記金属が、チタン、ニオブ、タンタル、タングステン、ケイ素、ジルコニウム、ハフニウム、スズまたはそれらの混合物もしくは合金からなる群から選択される、請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の燃料電池膜電極アセンブリ(1、10)。
- 前記水素酸化触媒(9)は、白金合金の粒子を含み、1つ以上の合金金属は、ルテニウム、ロジウム、ニッケル、銅およびイリジウムからなる群から選択される、ことを特徴とする請求項2から5のいずれか一項に記載の燃料電池膜電極アセンブリ(1、10)。
- 前記陽極における白金に対する前記担体材料(5)における酸化イリジウム(8)の重量比が、それぞれの場合に金属イリジウムおよび金属白金に基づいて、それぞれ2:1以下、好ましくは1:1以下、より好ましくは1:2以下、特に好ましくは1:3以下である、ことを特徴とする請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の燃料電池膜電極アセンブリ(1、10)。
- 前記陽極における白金の面重量が、多くとも0.1mgPt/cm2、好ましくは多くとも0.05mgPt/cm2、より好ましくは多くとも0.03mgPt/cm2であり、および/または
前記担体材料(5)は、コアシェル構造を有する、ことを特徴とする請求項1から7のいずれか一項に記載の燃料電池膜電極アセンブリ(1、10)。 - 前記ポリマーバインダー(13)がフッ素化ポリマーから選択され、より詳細にはポリテトラフルオロエチレンであり、
前記陽極(4)および/または前記バリア層(11)が、炭素および炭素含有化合物を含まない、ことを特徴とする請求項2から8のいずれか一項に記載の燃料電池膜電極アセンブリ(1、10)。 - 請求項1から9のいずれか一項に記載の燃料電池膜電極アセンブリ(1、10)を備える燃料電池。
