Abstract
Description
図1に示すように、バイポーラ型電池10は、両面に集電体24、26が配置された単電池20を異なる極性の集電体24、26が接触するように積層している。なお、バイポーラ型電池10は、複数の単電池20を直列接続となるように積層した組電池30を有する。ここで、バイポーラ型電池とは、厚み方向の一方の面に正極が配置され、他方に負極が配置された構成を有する電池である。厳密には、厚み方向の端面の一方が正極、他方が負極になっている単電池20もバイポーラ型電池である。そこで、本書では、単電池20を積層して形成された組電池30を有するバッテリーユニットをバイポーラ型電池10とし、単電池20をバイポーラ型単電池として区別する場合がある。
以下に、単電池20について図面を参照して説明する。図3は、単電池20の一例を模式的に示す一部切り欠き斜視図である。また、図4は、単電池20の分解斜視図である。図3に示すように、単電池20は、平面視において略長方形の平板状であり、厚み方向の上面が負極、下面が正極である。
次に、複数の単電池20を直列接続になるように積層した組電池30の詳細について、図面を参照して説明する。図5は、接続子40の平面図である。図1、図2に示すように、組電池30は、複数個の単電池20と、接続子40と、を有する。複数個の単電池20は、厚み方向に重ねて積層されている。
分岐部412の長辺の一方の中間部に引出部411が接続される。
図6は、第1変形例のバイポーラ型電池に用いられる接続子40aの一例を模式的に示す平面図である。図7は、第2変形例のバイポーラ型電池10aの一例を模式的に示す一部切欠き斜視図である。図6に示す接続子40aは、櫛歯部42の長さがそれぞれ異なる構成となっている点で、図5に示す接続子40と異なる。接続子40aのこれ以外の点は、接続子40と同じであり、実質上同じ部分には同じ符号を付すととともに、同じ部分の詳細な説明は省略する。
図8は、第2変形例のバイポーラ型電池に用いられる接続子40bの一例を模式的に示す平面図である。図8に示す接続子40bは、櫛歯部42bの幅及び櫛歯部42bに配置されているパターン配線44bがそれぞれ異なる構成となっている点で、図5に示す接続子40と異なる。接続子40bのこれ以外の点は、接続子40と同じであり、実質上同じ部分には同じ符号を付すととともに、同じ部分の詳細な説明は省略する。
図9は、第3変形例のバイポーラ型電池10cの一例を模式的に示す一部切欠き斜視図である。図9に示すバイポーラ型電池10cでは、4個の接続子40cが用いられている。これ以外の点について、バイポーラ型電池10cは、図1に示すバイポーラ型電池10と同じであり、実質上同じ部分には同じ符号を付すととともに、同じ部分の詳細な説明は省略する。

Claims (7)
- 両面に集電体が配置された単電池を異なる極性の前記集電体が接触するように積層したバイポーラ型電池であって、
絶縁性を有するとともに可撓性を有するプリント基板で形成された接続子を有し、
前記接続子は、
本体部と、
前記本体部から突出するとともに互いに離れて櫛歯状に配列される複数の櫛歯部と、
各前記櫛歯部の先端に設けられて導電性を有するとともに前記櫛歯部の厚み方向の少なくとも片面に露出した複数の接触部と、
前記櫛歯部及び前記本体部に配置され、前記接触部と前記本体部の端部の複数の端子部とを個別に且つ電気的に接続するパターン配線と、を有し、
複数の前記接触部のうち、一部は積層方向の両端に配置された前記集電体のそれぞれに接触し、残りは積層方向に隣り合う前記集電体にそれぞれ挟まれ、各前記接触部が前記集電体と電気的に接続されるバイポーラ型電池。 - 前記接触部は、前記櫛歯部に形成された導体の箔を有する請求項1に記載のバイポーラ型電池。
- 前記接続子を複数個備え、
複数の前記接続子の前記櫛歯部は、それぞれ異なる位置で、異なる単電池の間に配置される請求項1又は請求項2に記載のバイポーラ型電池。 - 前記櫛歯部は、配列方向の一方側に向かって順に長く形成されている請求項1から請求項3のいずれかに記載のバイポーラ型電池。
- 前記本体部は、前記櫛歯部と反対側に延びる引出部を有し、
前記櫛歯部の配列方向において、前記引出部から遠くに配置された前記櫛歯部に配線された前記パターン配線は、近くに配置された前記櫛歯部に配線された前記パターン配線よりも幅が広い請求項1から請求項4のいずれかに記載のバイポーラ型電池。 - 前記接続子は、片面基板である請求項1から請求項5のいずれかに記載のバイポーラ型電池。
- 前記接触部が前記集電体の外縁部から一定の長さ以上内側の部分と接触する請求項1から請求項6のいずれかに記載のバイポーラ型電池。
