第1実施形態の面状光源1について、図1から図4Dを参照して説明する。
面状光源1は、導光部材10と、光源20Aと、支持部材50と、第1透光性部材30と、第2光調整部材40とを備える。
図2に示すように、導光部材10は、第1面11と、第1面11の反対側にある第2面12とを有する。本明細書において、導光部材10の第1面に対して平行であり、且つ互いに直交する2方向を第1方向X及び第2方向Yとする。また、第2面12から第1面11に向かう方向であって、第1方向X及び第2方向Yに直交する方向を第3方向Zとする。
光源20Aは、導光部材10の第1孔部13内に配置される。複数の第1孔部13のそれぞれに光源20Aが配置される。光源20Aは、第1孔部13内において支持部材50上に配置される。

第1透光性部材30は、光源20Aが発する光に対する透光性を有する。光源20Aのピーク波長に対する第1透光性部材30の透過率は、例えば、50%以上が好ましく、70%以上がより好ましい。第1透光性部材30の材料として、例えば樹脂を用いることができる。例えば、第1透光性部材30の材料として導光部材10の材料と同じ樹脂、又は導光部材10の材料との屈折率差が小さい樹脂を用いることができる。
第2光調整部材40は、第1透光性部材30の上に配置される。図1に示すように、第2光調整部材40は、上面視において光源20A及び第1透光性部材30が配置された第1孔部13と重なる位置に配置される。
支持部材50は、配線基板60を有する。配線基板60は、絶縁基材61と、絶縁基材61の少なくとも一方の面に配置された少なくとも1層の第1導電部材62とを有する。絶縁基材61は、リジッド基板であってもよく、フレキシブル基板であってもよい。面状光源1の薄型化のため、絶縁基材61はフレキシブル基板であることが好ましい。絶縁基材61は、第3方向Zにおいて単層で構成されてもよいし、複数の層の積層体で構成されてもよい。例えば、絶縁基材61は、単層のフレキシブル基板で構成されていてもよく、複数のリジッド基板の積層体で構成されていてもよい。絶縁基材61の材料として、例えば、ポリイミドなどの樹脂を用いることができる。第1導電部材62は、金属膜であり、例えば銅膜である。

Claims (11)
- 第1面と、前記第1面の反対側にある第2面と、前記第1面から前記第2面まで貫通する第1孔部とを有する導光部材と、
発光素子と、上面に前記発光素子が発する光に対する反射性及び透光性を有する第1光調整部材と、を有し、前記導光部材の前記第1孔部に配置される光源と、
前記第1孔部における前記光源の側面と前記導光部材との間、及び、前記光源の上に配置された第1透光性部材と、
前記第1透光性部材の上に配置され、前記光源が発する光に対する反射性及び透光性を有する第2光調整部材と、
を備え、
前記光源が発する光に対して、前記1透光性部材の透過率は、前記第1光調整部材の透過率及び前記第2光調整部材の透過率よりも高く、
前記第1透光性部材は、前記第1光調整部材と前記第2光調整部材との間に位置する第1透光部と、前記光源の側面と前記導光部材との間に位置する第2透光部とを有し、
前記第2光調整部材は、断面視において、前記第2透光部上に位置する部分に最大厚さの部分を有する面状光源。 - 断面視において、前記第2光調整部材の厚さは、前記光源の側面と前記第1透光性部材との境界上に位置する部分から前記最大厚さの部分に向かって厚くなり、前記最大厚さの部分から前記第1透光性部材と前記導光部材との境界上に位置する部分に向かって薄くなる請求項1に記載の面状光源。
- 前記第2光調整部材において、前記光源の上面の中心を通る軸上に位置する部分の厚さは、前記最大厚さの30%以上95%以下である請求項1または2に記載の面状光源。
- 前記第2光調整部材は、前記第1透光性部材と前記導光部材との境界の上端を覆う請求項1~3のいずれか1つに記載の面状光源。
- 前記第2光調整部材の上面は凸面である請求項1~4のいずれか1つに記載の面状光源。
- 前記光源が発する光に対して、前記第2光調整部材の透過率は、前記第1光調整部材の透過率よりも高い請求項1~5のいずれか1つに記載の面状光源。
- 平面視において、前記第2光調整部材は前記光源の全てを覆う請求項1~6のいずれか1つに記載の面状光源。
- 前記第2光調整部材の下面の全てが前記第1光調整部材の上面よりも上方に位置する請求項1~7のいずれか1つに記載の面状光源。
- 前記第2透光部は、上面に凹部を有する請求項1~8のいずれか1つに記載の面状光源。
- 前記第2光調整部材において、前記光源の上面の中心を通る軸上に位置する部分の厚さよりも厚い部分が、平面視において前記光源を切れ目なく囲む請求項1~9のいずれか1つに記載の面状光源。
- 断面視において、前記光源は前記第2透光部に挟まれており、
一方の前記第2透光部上に位置する部分の前記第2光調整部材の最大厚さは、他方の前記第2透光部上に位置する部分の前記第2光調整部材の最大厚さの0.9倍以上1.1倍以下である請求項1~10のいずれか1つに記載の面状光源。
