Abstract
Description
以下の実施例を用いて、鉄除去プロセスにおける媒体汚れを調べた。シリカ砂(D10≒0.15mm-D50≒0.23mm)を含むマイクロ媒体が鉄除去用途において急速に汚れることが観察された。この問題に対する潜在的な解決策として、典型的にはサンドブラストに使用されるガラスビーズ(#8、D50≒0.18mm)が、シリカ砂をガラスビーズに交換することによってフィルタに使用された。
以下の実施例を使用して、濾過システムの頂部層としてガラスビーズ(#8、≒0.15mm)を使用して、水中の濁度の低下を調べた。本実施例の目的は、ROの化学洗浄と濾過サイクル範囲の低下とを余儀なくさせるRO膜の汚れを最小限にするために、SDI試験によって測定される水の濁度を低下させることである。これは、RO膜が化学的に洗浄される頻度がより少なくなるので、RO膜の寿命を増加させるという利点を有する。
Claims (20)
- 少なくとも1つの入口及び少なくとも1つの出口を有する容器と、
複数の媒体層を含む媒体床であって、前記媒体床の最上媒体層は、実質的に均一且つ球形のガラスマイクロ媒体を含み、前記複数の媒体層は、前記最上媒体層から最下媒体層まで密度が増加する、媒体床と、
前記複数の媒体層を通して大量の空気を導くように構成される空気分配器と、
を含む、フィルタ。 - 前記ガラスマイクロ媒体は、ガラスビーズを含む、請求項1に記載のフィルタ。
- 前記ガラスビーズは、約0.1mm~0.4mmの直径を有する、請求項2に記載のフィルタ。
- 前記ガラスビーズは、約0.1mm~0.2mmの直径を有する、請求項3に記載のフィルタ。
- 前記ガラスビーズは、滑らかな外面を含む、請求項2に記載のフィルタ。
- 前記ガラスビーズは、約2.5g/mLの密度を有する、請求項2乃至5の何れか一項に記載のフィルタ。
- 水源に流体接続可能なフィルタ容器を含む媒体フィルタを改良する方法であって、前記フィルタ容器は複数の媒体層を含む媒体床を含み、前記複数の媒体層は最上媒体層から最下媒体層まで密度が増加し、
前記方法は、
前記媒体床から前記最上媒体層を除去するステップと、
実質的に均一且つ球形のガラスビーズマイクロ媒体を含む媒体を前記最上媒体層として前記媒体床に取り付けるステップと、
を含む、方法。 - 前記ガラスビーズは、約0.1mm~0.4mmの直径を有する、請求項7に記載の方法。

少なくとも1つの入口と、少なくとも1つの出口と、空気分配器と、媒体床であって、前記媒体床は複数の媒体層を含み、前記複数の媒体層は最上媒体層から最下媒体層まで密度が増大する、媒体床と、を含むフィルタ容器を提供するステップであって、前記最上媒体層は、実質的に均一且つ球形のガラスビーズマイクロ媒体を含む、ステップと、
前記フィルタ容器の入口を処理される水源に接続するようにユーザに指示するステップと、
を含む、方法。 - 前記空気分配器に空気源を接続するように前記ユーザに指示するステップを更に含む、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記空気分配器及び前記複数の媒体層を通して大量の空気を所定の時間導くように前記ユーザに指示するステップを更に含む、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 水処理のためのシステムであって、
処理される水源と、
処理される前記水源に流体接続される少なくとも1つの入口と、少なくとも1つの出口と、フィルタ容器内に配置される媒体床と、を有するフィルタ容器であって、前記媒体床は複数の媒体層を含み、前記媒体床の最上層は実質的に均一且つ球形のガラスビーズマイクロ媒体を含み、前記複数の媒体層は前記最上媒体層から最下媒体層まで密度が増加する、フィルタ容器と、
フィルタ容器出口に流体接続される処理水出口と、
を含む、システム。 - 前記ガラスビーズは、約0.1mm~0.4mmの直径を有する、請求項14に記載のシステム。
- 前記ガラスビーズは、約0.1mm~0.2mmの直径を有する、請求項15に記載のシステム。
- 前記ガラスビーズは、約2.5g/mLの密度を有する、請求項14乃至16の何れか一項に記載のシステム。
- 処理される前記水源は、無機又は有機の汚染物質を含む、請求項14に記載のシステム。
- 空気源に接続可能な入口を有する前記フィルタ容器内に配置される空気分配器を含む、空気逆流システムを更に含む、請求項14に記載のシステム。
- 濾過サイクル中及び/又はフィルタ容器の性能が低下した際に、前記空気分配器から大量の空気が所定の時間供給される、請求項19に記載のシステム。
