Abstract
Description
光源及び光検出器、並びに
前記光源及び前記光検出器に向き、反射を介して前記光源と前記光検出器との間における光伝達を提供するように配される反射面
を有し、前記光源及び前記光検出器の一方が、前記反射面に対して固定され、他方は、子宮収縮に応答して反射面に対して可動であるように適応し、それにより、光検出器において受け取られる光の強度の変動を引き起こし、前記光の強度の変動は、被験者の子宮収縮を表している。
光検出器により受け取られる経時的な光の強度を表す、光検出器からの出力信号を受信する、及び
前記光検出器により受け取られる光の強度の変動に基づいて、子宮収縮を決定するために、前記受信した出力信号を処理する
ように構成される処理器をさらに有する。
も同様に、赤外線(IR)光を検出するように構成されてもよい。赤外線光は、例えば、迷光する可視光による干渉又は汚染の可能性が少ないという利点を有する。現在の技術環境において入手可能である既製のIR光源及び検出器も多く存在する。
Claims (15)
- 被験者の子宮収縮を監視するために被験者の腹部に配置するための装置において、前記装置は、
光源及び光検出器、並びに
反射を介して、前記光源と前記光検出器との間において光伝達を提供するように配され、前記光源及び前記光検出器に向いている反射面
を有し、前記光源及び前記光検出器の一方は、前記反射面に対して固定され、他方は、子宮収縮に応答して前記反射面に対して可動であるように適応し、それにより、前記光検出器において受け取られる光の強度の変動を引き起こし、前記光の強度の変動は、前記被験者の子宮収縮を表している、装置。 - 前記光源及び前記光検出器のうちの可動する方の動きは、前記光検出器における光の入射角を変化させるものであり、好ましくは、前記光検出器に入射する反射光の量を変化させるものである、請求項1に記載の装置。
- 前記光源及び前記光検出器のうちの可動する方は、前記反射面に向かう又は前記反射面から離れる方向に可動である、請求項1又は2に記載の装置。
- 前記光源及び前記光検出器のうちの可動する方は、前記反射面と、前記光検出器又は前記光源の表面との間における角度を変化させるように可動である、請求項1乃至3の何れか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記光源及び前記光検出器のうちの可動する方は、前記反射面に向かう又は前記反射面から離れる方向に傾斜可能であるように配される、請求項1乃至4の何れか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記光源及び前記光検出器のうちの可動する方は、前記反射面に対する光学距離を増大又は減少させるように可動であるように配される、請求項1乃至5の何れか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記光源及び光検出器の各々は、個別の夫々の基板上に固定して取り付けられ、前記基板の一方は、前記反射面に対して固定され、他方は、前記反射面に対して可動であるように適応する、請求項1乃至6の何れか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記基板のうちの可動する方は、前記反射面に向かう及び前記反射面から離れる方向に傾斜可能であるように配される、請求項7に記載の機器。
- 前記傾斜は、前記光源又は光検出器のうちの可動する方の表面を、前記反射面の法線から離れる方向に傾斜させるものである、請求項8又は請求項5に記載の装置。
- 前記基板のうちの可動する方の少なくとも一部は、前記反射面に対して固定される傾斜軸を中心に傾斜するように配される、請求項7乃至9の何れか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記基板のうちの可動する方の少なくとも一部は、前記傾斜軸から離れる方向に延在する長さ、及び前記傾斜軸に平行に延在する幅を持ち、前記少なくとも一部の幅は、前記傾斜軸から離れるにつれて減少する、請求項10に記載の装置。
- 前記装置は、使用時、前記被験者の腹部に当てられるように配される接触部を持つ支持構造を有し、前記反射面は、前記支持構造に対して固定され、前記光源及び前記光検出器のうちの可動する方は、前記支持構造に対して可動である、請求項1乃至11の何れか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記光源及び前記光検出器のうちの可動する方は、
付勢力により静止位置に向けて付勢されるように配され、及び
使用時、前記装置が前記被験者の腹部に位置決められるとき、子宮収縮により引き起こされる動きが、前記付勢力に抗する反対の力を及ぼし、前記光源又は前記光検出器を前記静止位置から離れるように変位させるように配される、
請求項1乃至12の何れか一項に記載の装置。 - 前記光源、光検出器及び反射面は、支持構造に結合され、使用時、前記装置は、前記支持構造を前記被験者の腹部に保持するためのベルトを有する、請求項1乃至13の何れか一項に記載の装置。
- 前記装置は、処理器をさらに有し、前記処理器は、
前記光検出器により受け取られる経時的な光の強度を表す、前記光検出器からの出力信号を受信し、及び
前記光検出器により受け取られる前記光の強度の変動に基づいて子宮収縮を決定するために、前記受信される出力信号を処理する
ように構成される、請求項1乃至14の何れか一項に記載の装置。
