Description
Claims (15)
- 色域マッピングデータを貯蔵する貯蔵部と、
映像信号が入力されると、入力された映像信号を前記色域マッピングデータに基づいて出力信号に変換する制御部と、
前記出力信号に基づいて映像を表示するディスプレイと、を含み、
前記制御部は、前記入力された映像信号に応じて前記色域マッピングデータを変更する、ディスプレイ装置。 - 前記色域マッピングデータは、色域マッピングルックアップテーブルまたは色域マッピングカーブを含む、請求項1に記載のディスプレイ装置。
- 前記制御部は、前記入力された映像信号の色域と前記ディスプレイの色域に基づいて、前記色域マッピングデータを変更する、請求項1に記載のディスプレイ装置。
- 前記制御部は、前記入力された映像信号の色域が前記ディスプレイの色域より狭い場合、前記出力信号を前記入力された映像信号と同様に変換する、請求項1に記載のディスプレイ装置。
- 前記制御部は、前記入力された映像信号の色域が前記ディスプレイの色域より狭い場合、前記入力信号が圧縮されることなく出力されるように前記色域マッピングデータを変更する、請求項4に記載のディスプレイ装置。
- 前記制御部は、前記入力された映像信号の色域が前記ディスプレイの色域より広い場合、前記変換を通じて前記入力信号が前記ディスプレイの色域内に圧縮されるように前記色域マッピングデータを変更する、請求項1に記載のディスプレイ装置。
- 前記制御部は、前記入力された映像信号の色域と前記ディスプレイの色域の間の差に基づいて前記圧縮される圧縮率を調節する、請求項6に記載のディスプレイ装置。
- 前記制御部は、前記入力された映像信号の色域と前記ディスプレイの色域の間の差が大きいほど前記圧縮率を高く調節する、請求項7に記載のディスプレイ装置。
- 前記制御部は、前記入力された映像信号が画質改善のために補正される場合、補正される信号の色域を考慮して前記色域マッピングデータを変更する、請求項1に記載のディスプレイ装置。
- 前記制御部は、
第1領域が前記ディスプレイの色域のうち限界に該当し、第2領域が前記ディスプレイの色域を全て含む映像信号が入力される場合、前記第1領域で出力が第1色相であり、
前記第1領域が前記ディスプレイの色域のうち限界に該当し、第2領域が前記ディスプレイの色域を外れる色相を含む映像信号が入力される場合、前記第1領域で出力が第2色相であると、
第1色相と第2色相は異なる、請求項1に記載のディスプレイ装置。 - ディスプレイ装置が動作する方法であって、
色域マッピングデータを貯蔵するステップと、
前記映像信号が入力されるステップと、
前記入力された映像信号に応じて前記色域マッピングデータを変更するステップと、
入力された映像信号を前記変更された色域マッピングデータに基づいて出力信号に変換するステップと、
前記出力信号に基づいて映像を表示するステップと、を含む、ディスプレイ装置の動作方法。 - 前記色域マッピングデータを変更するステップは、
前記入力された映像信号の色域と前記ディスプレイの色域に基づいて、前記色域マッピングデータを変更するステップである、請求項11に記載のディスプレイ装置の動作方法。 - 前記色域マッピングデータを変更するステップは、
前記入力された映像信号の色域が前記ディスプレイの色域より狭い場合、前記入力信号が圧縮されることなく出力されるように前記色域マッピングデータを変更するステップを含む、請求項11に記載のディスプレイ装置の動作方法。 - 前記色域マッピングデータを変更するステップは、
前記入力された映像信号の色域が前記ディスプレイの色域より広い場合、前記変換を通じて前記入力信号が前記ディスプレイの色域内に圧縮されるように前記色域マッピングデータを変更するステップを含む、請求項11に記載のディスプレイ装置の動作方法。 - 前記色域マッピングデータを変更するステップは、
前記入力された映像信号の色域と前記ディスプレイの色域の間の差に基づいて前記圧縮される圧縮率を調節するステップをさらに含む、請求項14に記載のディスプレイ装置の動作方法。
