Abstract
Description
The present invention relates to a weather strip in which an insert is embedded in a mounting portion to seal between the peripheral edge of an opening of a vehicle body and a door or the like.
A weather strip is attached to the flange provided along the peripheral edge of the opening of the door or trunk of a vehicle such as an automobile, and the weather strip seals between the peripheral edge of the opening of the door or trunk and the door or trunk. It has become like.
As the above weather strip, for example, in Patent Document 1, as shown in FIG. 5, the
As shown in FIG. 6, the
By the way, in the
As shown in FIG. 8, the insert 800 (referred to as a “core material” in Patent Document 2) forms a plurality of
In the
Further, the
Further, the
Due to the above structure, in the portion formed of the sponge rubber material P3, the molding shrinkage amount due to the difference in the thickness dimension of the polymer material between the portion corresponding to the
By the way, in the above-mentioned
In order to solve the above problems, the present invention of claim 1 is a weather strip attached to a flange formed on the peripheral edge of an opening of a vehicle body, wherein the weather strip includes a vehicle outer side wall, a vehicle inner side wall, and a vehicle. A mounting portion having a substantially U-shaped cross section having a bottom wall connecting the outer side wall and the inner side wall of the vehicle is provided, and the flange protruding from at least one of the outer side wall of the vehicle and the inner side wall of the vehicle can be contacted in the opening of the mounting portion. A holding portion is formed, and an insert in which a plurality of strip-shaped bone fragments are adjacent to each other at predetermined intervals in the longitudinal direction is embedded in the mounting portion, and between the outer surface and the insert on the opposite side of the opening of the mounting portion. Alternatively, the weather strip is characterized in that a different material portion made of a material different from the member constituting the mounting portion is embedded in contact with the surface on the outer surface side of the insert.
Is.
In the present invention of claim 1, an insert in which a plurality of strip-shaped bone fragments are adjacent to each other at predetermined intervals in the longitudinal direction is embedded in the mounting portion, and the outer surface and the insert are opposite to the opening of the mounting portion. Since a different material portion made of a material different from the member constituting the mounting portion is embedded in the space or in contact with the surface on the outer surface side of the insert, the portion corresponding to the space of the insert in the mounting portion ( The outer surface side of the part where the insert does not exist) is blocked by the dissimilar material part.
Therefore, it is possible to prevent the occurrence of unevenness due to the portion corresponding to the space of the insert (the portion where the insert does not exist) greatly expands or contracts toward the outer surface side due to the dissimilar material portion, and it is possible to prevent deterioration of the appearance.
According to a second aspect of the present invention, in the first aspect of the present invention, the dissimilar material portion is a film-shaped weather strip that is continuously embedded in the longitudinal direction of the mounting portion.
In the present invention of
According to a third aspect of the present invention, in the first or second aspect of the present invention, the dissimilar material portion is a weather strip formed of a material whose melting temperature is higher than the maximum temperature at the time of manufacturing the weather strip.
In the present invention of
Here, as the dissimilar material portion, as long as the melting temperature is higher than the maximum temperature at the time of molding the weather strip, the material is not limited, and various materials such as metal, resin, and rubber can be used. When the polymer forming the mounting portion is rubber, the vulcanized rubber material does not melt during vulcanization, so that it can be a different material portion.
According to a fourth aspect of the present invention, in the first to third aspects of the invention, the mounting portion is a weather strip made of a solid material or a sponge material. In the present invention of claim 4, by embedding a different material portion, even when the mounting portion is formed of a solid material or a sponge material, the outer surface side of the portion corresponding to the space of the insert (the portion where the insert does not exist) is blocked. However, it is possible to prevent the occurrence of unevenness. In addition, the rigidity of the mounting portion can be ensured, and the holding force of the holding portion on the flange can be ensured. Further, since it is not necessary to form the mounting portion with a plurality of materials in order to prevent the occurrence of unevenness, it also leads to cost reduction.
According to a fifth aspect of the present invention, in the first to fourth aspects of the invention, the weather strip includes a cover lip extending from the bottom wall of the mounting portion to the inside of the vehicle, and the dissimilar material portion is from the outer side wall of the vehicle to the bottom wall. It is a weather strip that is continuously buried in.
In the weather strip, which has a cover lip that extends from the bottom wall of the mounting part to the inside of the car, the inner side wall of the car is invisible because it is behind the cover lip when viewed from the outer surface, and unevenness is a problem. The surface is the bottom wall and the outer wall of the car.
According to the fifth aspect of the present invention, the cover lip extending from the bottom wall of the mounting portion to the inside of the vehicle is provided, and the dissimilar material portion is continuously embedded in the bottom wall from the outer side wall of the vehicle. Can be reduced.
According to a sixth aspect of the present invention, in the first to fourth aspects of the invention, the weather strip is integrated with a cover lip extending from the bottom wall of the mounting portion to the inside of the vehicle and an outer side wall of the mounting portion. A hollow seal portion is provided, and the dissimilar material portion is a weather strip embedded in the bottom wall.
The weather strip, which has a cover lip that extends from the bottom wall of the mounting part to the inside of the car and a hollow seal that is integrated with the car's outer side wall of the mounting part, has the car's inner side wall and the car when viewed from the outer surface. The outer side wall is invisible because it is behind the cover lip and the hollow seal portion, and the outer surface where unevenness is a problem is the bottom wall portion.
In the present invention of
A weather strip attached to a flange formed on the peripheral edge of an opening of a vehicle body, the weather strip has a substantially U cross section having a vehicle outer side wall, a vehicle inner side wall, and a bottom wall connecting the vehicle outer side wall and the vehicle inner side wall. It is provided with a shaped mounting portion, and a holding portion capable of contacting a flange protruding from at least one of the vehicle outer side wall and the vehicle inner side wall is formed in the opening of the mounting portion, and the mounting portion has a plurality of strips. Inserts with bone fragments adjacent to each other at predetermined intervals in the longitudinal direction are embedded, and the mounting portion is located between the outer surface opposite to the opening of the mounting portion and the insert, or in contact with the outer surface side surface of the insert. Since the dissimilar material portion made of a material different from the member constituting the insert is embedded, the outer surface side of the portion corresponding to the space of the insert (the portion where the insert does not exist) is blocked by the dissimilar material portion in the mounting portion.
The first embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. 1 to 3. The weather strip of FIG. 1 is an opening
As shown in FIG. 1, the opening
As shown in FIG. 2, the opening
On the other hand, the second opening
In the opening
The opening
The first opening
The mounting
The
The
The
For the
The maximum temperature during production of weather strips is, for example, around 170 ° C. during vulcanization for EPDM, which is a rubber material, and around 200 ° C. during molding, for example, for dynamically crosslinked thermoplastic elastomers (TPVs). Therefore, the resin used for the
For example, as the resin film applicable to the
The
In FIG. 3, the
As a result, the
The region forming the
Next, a second embodiment of the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. 2 and 4. FIG. 4 is a sectional view taken along the line BB of FIG. 2 in the second opening
Therefore, in FIG. 4, the
As a result, the

For example, in the present embodiment, the opening trim weather strip attached to the flange portion of the front door opening peripheral edge of the vehicle body has been described, but the opening trim weather strip is attached to various opening peripheral edges of the vehicle body such as the rear door opening and the trunk opening. Can be applied to weather strips that are made.
For example, in the present embodiment, the first opening
For example, in the present embodiment, an iron metal plate is used as the
For example, in the present embodiment, a so-called center bond type insert is used as the
For example, in the present embodiment, the resin film is used as the material for forming the
