Description

スペクトルを示す。図2aは水酸化アルミニウムに前駆体に1-ピレンカルボン酸ではないフルオレン-9-カルボン酸(Fluorene-9-carboxylic acid)をドーパント(dopant)を使って合成した素材の発光スペクトルである。1-ピレンカルボン酸と同様にカルボン酸(carboxylic acid)という(アンテナ)antennaは有しているものの、アロマティックリングの係数を異にして合成した化合物であって、460nmで狭く発光ピークが見えることを確認することができる。図2bは水酸化アルミニウムにピレンを添加した化合物の発光スペクトルであって、ピレンは1-ピレンカルボン酸と同様に4個のアロマティックリングを保有するものの、carboxylic acid antennaがない形態であって、400nmと470nmで発光特性ピークを示す。図2cは水酸化アルミニウム単独(AlOH)の発光スペクトルであって、390nm、450nmで発光特性ピークを示す。図2dの結果から熱分解合成段階でアロマティックリング化合物を導入する場合、紫外線領域の吸収が向上し、最大吸収波長と発光波長間の差がさらに増加することによって再吸収による損失を最小化することができる。図2eは本発明で主張する水酸化アルミニウム前駆体に1-ピレンカルボン酸がanchoringされた発光素材のスペクトルである。

製造例1で、1-Pyrenecarboxylic acidをdopantとして使う代わりに、Carboxylic acidを保有するが4個の芳香環(aromatic ring)を有していないdopant(Fluorene-9-carboxylic acid)を使ったことを除いては製造例1と同一にして太陽スペクトル波長変換素材を製造した。
964個のaromatic ringを保有するがcarboxylic acid
groupというantennaがないdopant(Pyrene)を使ったことを除いては製造例1と同一にして太陽スペクトル波長変換素材を製造した。
dopantを使わないことを除いては製造例1と同一にして太陽スペクトル波長変換素材を製造した。
完成された比較製造例3に1-Pyrenecarboxylic acidを入れた後、5分間stirringを進行させる。その後、AcetoneとTolueneを利用して遠心分離して太陽スペクトル波長変換素材を製造した。
6インチ(inch)単結晶シリコン太陽電池を利用した。
製造例1により製造された太陽スペクトル波長変換素材溶液をスプレーコーディング方法を利用して6インチ単結晶シリコンセルの表面に塗布する。このように製造する場合、太陽スペクトル波長変換素材は太陽電池の表面に位置することになって、EQE(外部量子効率)測定をする場合、塗布された太陽スペクトル波長変換素材によって太陽電池の効率がどのように変化するかが分かるように製造した。
製造例1を比較製造例3に種類変化させたことを除いては、実施例1と同じ方法で太陽電池を製造した。
実施例1で製造された太陽スペクトル波長変換素材をコーディングした太陽電池4枚を利用して、2×2でハンダ付けを進行させた後、太陽電池モジュールを製作した。
光変換素材を太陽電池に塗布せずにbare cellを利用したことを除いては、実施例2と同じ方法で太陽電池を製造した。
エチレン-酢酸ビニル共重合体100重量部に対し、製造例1の1-Pyrenecarboxylic acidがanchoringされた水酸化アルミニウム0.2重量部をコンパウンディングして混合物を製造した。その後、架橋剤および架橋補助剤を配合して封止材組成物を製造した。封止材組成物を100℃のT-ダイ押出工程に適用して300マイクロメーター厚さの封止材を製造した。
製造例1を比較製造例4に種類を変化させたことを除いては、実施例1と同じ方法で封止材を製造した。
実施例1により製造された太陽電池の発光能力を確認するためにUVランプに照らして確認した。UVランプに照らしてみた結果、自然光では黄色であった化合物が青色に発光することを確認することができる。結果は図1に示した。
実施例1および比較例1~4による太陽電池の性能を比較するためにPhotoluminescence Spectrometerを使って発光波長帯を測定し、それぞれによるシフト(shift)変化を確認した。図2a~図2eにそれぞれ示した。
ピレンカルボン酸と同様に、4個のアロマティックリングを保有するものの、carboxylic acid antennaがない形態である。この形態の化合物の発光スペクトルを見ると、Fluorene-9-carboxylic acidよりも前の波長帯で発光するため、吸収スペクトルと多く重なって再吸収(reabsorption)率が高く、このため、太陽電池の効能が低下するということが分かる。図2cは水酸化アルミニウム単独(AlOH)の発光スペクトルであって、390nm、450nmで発光特性ピークを示す。このスペクトルも吸収スペクトルとの重複度が大きいものと予想される。図2dは水酸化アルミニウムに1-ピレンカルボン酸をanchoringせず、単純物理的合成を進行して共に入れてstirringした化合物の発光スペクトルである。この形態の化合物の発光スペクトルを見ると、1-ピレンカルボン酸の影響でレッド(red)波長帯側である480nmでピーク(peak)を見せるとともに、既存の水酸化アルミニウムの発光スペクトルである図2cのように400nmでもpeakを形成する。これは、1-ピレンカルボン酸が水酸化アルミニウムに確実にanchoringされずに、両者が化合物内にともに存在するため現れるスペクトルであって、anchoringされた化合物より発光波長をレッドシフト(red-shift)することができなかった。図2eは本特許で主張する化合物である水酸化アルミニウムと1-ピレンカルボン酸の発光波長帯であって、図2a~2dに比べて発光波長帯が長波長帯である500nmにシフト(shifting)し、これによって重複度も少なく、また太陽電池に応用した場合、効率が上がる理由を説明する。
太陽スペクトル波長変換素材導入に対する効率を検証するために、実施例1と比較実施例1の太陽電池に対するEQE(External Quantum Efficiency;外部量子効率)を測定して評価した。
図3bを見ると、spray coatingした太陽電池部分がbare cellに比べて上昇し、これは水酸化アルミニウム+1ピレンカルボン酸の導入によりダウンコンバージョン効果があったことが分かる。

光変換素材に対して、anchoringの確認のためにFTIR分析を進行した。製造例1と比較製造例4はそれぞれ同じ物質を入れて製造したものの、合成方法を異にして進行させた。製造れ1は熱分解合成を経てanchoringさせる反面、比較製造例4は単純stirringを利用して両物質を物理的に結合させた。
拠と見ることができる。よくC=O bondは1700cm-1付近に現れると知られているが、アセテート基で発生するC-O bondはそれぞれ~1415cm-1と~1570cm-1で対称(symmetric)と非対称(asymmetric ストッレチング モード(stretching mode)を示す。この中でも一個のメタルと結合される単座のアセテート(unidentate acetate)の場合、C=O bondを形成し、asymmetric bendが少し後である1590~1650cm-1に形成される。したがって、図4で示される結果のように、熱を加えて合成した製造例1と熱を加えずに共に両物質を入れた比較製造例4はいずれも~1590cm-1でC=Oを示す。これと共に、両物質はいずれも3400cm-1で広い-OHピークを示すが、これは1-ピレンカルボン酸の酸(acid)によって現れるピークであり、両物質はいずれも1-ピレンカルボン酸が含まれていると言える。図4ではこの両ピーク(C=0ピークと-OHピーク)の強度差が重要である。
1-Pyrenecarboxylic acidがanchoringされた水酸化アルミニウムの導入による太陽電池効率の変化を分析するために屋外評価装置を利用し、水酸化アルミニウムコーディング前と後の効率の変化を特定した。表1は、それぞれ製造例1が塗布された6インチ単結晶シリコン太陽電池を4-セルミニモジュール(4-cell mini module)で組み立てた(実施例2)太陽電池と、光変換素材が塗布されていない6インチ単結晶シリコン太陽電池を4-cell mini moduleで組み立てた(比較実施例2)を屋外に据え置いた後、効率を測定した結果である。
熱を加えて水酸化アルミニウムと1-Pyrenecarboxylic acidをanchoringさせた物質(製造例1)と、単純に水酸化アルミニウムと1-Pyrenecarboxylic acidを共に入れた後に遠心分離して得た物質(比較製造例4)との耐久性評価を進行した。耐久性評価は透過度分析で進行したし、理由は透過度分析を通じて特定の波長帯で物質が如何に多くの光を受けることができるかが分かるためである。本光変換素材は紫外線波長帯の光を変換させ、光転換効率が上昇するため、紫外線波長帯での良い透過度を有することが重要である。しかし、太陽電池は紫外線を受ける場合、かすみ(haze)が発生して光を遮蔽する現象が発生する。遮蔽現象が発生する場合、多くの光を通過させることが難いため、太陽電池の効率が相対的に低下する。このため、太陽電池の耐久性評価は太陽電池の評価において重要な要素であり、該当物質のうち、どのように合成された太陽スペクトル波長変換素材を太陽電池に導入すれば耐久性に少なく影響を与えつつ光変換効率を示すかを調べてみた。
Claims (12)
- 1-ピレンカルボン酸(1-pyrenecarboxylic acid)がアンカリング(anchoring)された水酸化アルミニウム前駆体を含むことを特徴とする、太陽スペクトル波長変換素材。
- 前記水酸化アルミニウム前駆体はアルミニウムモノアセテート、アルミニウムトリアセテート、アルミニウムジアセテート、アルミニウムトリエチルアルミニウム、トリメチルアルミニウム、アルミニウムアルコキシド、ジエチルアルミニウムクロライド、アルミニウムスルフェート、アルミニウムシアニド、アルミニウムニトライト、アルミニウムカーボネート、アルミニウムスルフィート、アルミニウムヒドロキシド、アルミニウムオキシド、アルミニウムクロラート、アルミニウムスルフィド、アルミニウムクロメート、アルミニウムトリクロリド、アルミニウムパークロラート、アルミニウムニトレート、アルミニウムパーマンガネート、アルミニウムハイドロジェンカーボネート、アルミニウムホスフェート、アルミニウムオキサレート、アルミニウムハイドロジェンホスフェート、アルミニウムチオスルフェート、アルミニウムクロライト、アルミニウムハイドロジェンスルフェート、アルミニウムジクロメート、アルミニウムブロマイド、アルミニウムハイポクロライト、アルミニウムクロライドヘキサハイドレート、アルミニウムジハイドロジェンホスフェート、アルミニウムホスフィート、アルミニウムポタシウムスルフェートドデカハイドレート、アルミニウムブロメート、アルミニウムナイトライドまたはこれらの誘導体のうちいずれか一つであることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の太陽スペクトル波長変換素材。
- 前記太陽スペクトル波長変換素材がAl(OH)3、AlOOH、AlOH、5Al2O3・2H2O、Al2O3の構造を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の太陽スペクトル波長変換素材。
- アロマティックリング化合物またはこの誘導体;ランタン系イオン;およびアップコンバータ物質からなる群から選択された1種以上を含む化合物をさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の太陽スペクトル波長変換素材。
- 前記アロマティックリング化合物はフラン、ベンズベンゾフラン、イソベンズベンゾフラン、ピロール、インドール、イソインドール、チオフェン、ベンズベンゾチオフェン、ベンズベンゾチオフェン、イミダゾール、ベンゾイミダゾール、プリン、ピラゾール、インダゾール、オキサソール、ベンゾオキサソールベンゾオキサソール、オキサソールイソオキサゾール、ベンゾオキサソールイソオキサゾール、チアゾール、ベンズベンゾチアゾール、ベンズベンゼン、ナフタレン、アントラセン、ピリジン、キノキサリン、アクリジン、ピリミジン、キナゾリン、ピリダジン、シンノリン、フタラジン、1,2,3-トリアジン、1,2,4-トリアジン、1,3,5-トリアジンおよびその誘導体のうちいずれか一つ以上であることを特徴とする、請求項4に記載の太陽スペクトル波長変換素材。
- 前記太陽スペクトル波長変換素材の粒子の大きさは0.1nm以上~500μm以下であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の太陽スペクトル波長変換素材。
- 前記太陽スペクトル波長変換素材の最大吸収波長は300~480nmの間で形成され、最大発光波長は450~1200nmの間で形成されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の太陽スペクトル波長変換素材。
- 前記太陽スペクトル波長変換素材は光透光性樹脂に分散された厚さ100μm以下のフィルム形態であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の太陽スペクトル波長変換素材。
- 太陽スペクトル波長が入射する太陽電池の前面部封止材と、前記太陽電池の界面に太陽スペクトル波長変換素材が位置した太陽電池において、前記太陽スペクトル波長変換素材が、請求項1~請求項8のいずれか一項に記載された太陽スペクトル波長変換素材であることを特徴とする、太陽電池。
- 前記太陽スペクトル波長変換素材が前記太陽電池の前面または前記太陽電池の前面部封止材の後面にコーティングされたことを特徴とする、請求項9に記載の太陽電池。
- 前記コーティングは、スプレーまたはスクリーンコーティングであることを特徴とする、請求項10に記載の太陽電池。
- 前記封止材はエチレン酢酸ビニル(EVA、ethylene vinyl acetate)、ポリオレフィンエラストマー(POE、polyolefin elastomer)、架橋ポリオレフィン(cross-linked polyolefin)、熱可塑性ポリウレタン(TPU、thermal polyurethane)、ポリビニルブチラル(PVB、polyvinyl butyral)、シリコン(silicone)、シリコン/ポリウレタンハイブリッド(silicone/polyurethane hybrid)、アイオノマー(ionomer)のうち いずれか一つであることを特徴とする、請求項9に記載の太陽電池。
