Abstract
Description
光源10は、例えば半導体光源が用いられる。このような半導体光源としては、例えばLEDやOLEDなどが挙げられる。発光面11は、後述の車両用導光体20の入射面21に対向して配置される。発光面11が車両用導光体20に向けられた状態で配置される。本実施形態において、光源10は、左右方向に複数、例えば4つ配置される。なお、光源10の個数は、4つに限定されず、3つ以下であってもよいし、5つ以上であってもよい。
図2は、車両用導光体の一例を示す側面図である。車両用導光体20は、光源10からの光を導光して車両搭載状態における前方に出射する。本実施形態に係る車両用導光体20は、例えば従来のプロジェクタ型の車両用前照灯におけるリフレクタ、シェード、投影レンズ等のそれぞれに対応する機能を集約させた構成である。図1及び図2に示すように、車両用導光体20は、入射面21と、第1反射面22と、第2反射面23と、第3反射面24と、遮光部25と、出射面26とを備える。
入射面21は、複数、例えば光源10毎に設けられる。なお、入射面21は、光源10とは1対1に対応しない位置に設けられてもよい。例えば、1つの光源10に対して、入射面21が複数設けられる構成であってもよい。複数の入射面21は、車両搭載状態における左右方向に並んで配置される。入射面21は、例えば円錐台状に形成される。本実施形態では、例えば4つの入射面21が配置される。左右方向の中央側に配置される入射面21の径r1よりも、左右方向の外側に配置される入射面21の径r2の方が小さい。本実施形態では、左右方向の中央側の2つの入射面21の径r1よりも、左右方向の外側に配置される2つの入射面21の径r2の方が小さい。径r1と径r2との比r1/r2は、例えば0.5以上、1未満とすることができる。以下、左右方向の中央側の2つの入射面21を中央側入射面21Mと表記し、左右方向の外側の2つの入射面を外側入射面21Nと表記して、両者を区別する場合がある。
第1反射面22は、入射面21から入射した光を内面反射して略平行光にする。第1反射面22は、入射面21の第2面21bを囲うように配置され、当該第2面21bから入射した光を第2反射面23に向けて反射する。本実施形態において、第1反射面22は、入射面21に対応して設けられる。
図4は、図1におけるA−A断面に沿った構成を示す図である。第2反射面23は、図4に示すように、回転放物面PRを基調とする形状を有する。第2反射面23は、焦点Pを有する。焦点Pは、後述する出射面26の焦点の近傍の位置に配置される。第2反射面23は、第1反射面22からの光を焦点P側、つまり車両前方に向けて反射する。第2反射面23は、第1反射面22で反射される光の光軸AX1に平行な軸AX2を有し、光を回転放物面PRの焦点P側に向けて内面反射する。
第3反射面24は、第2反射面23の前方であって左右方向の両側の端面の一部に設けられる。第3反射面24は、拡散パターン形成面23Nで反射された光を内面反射する。第3反射面24は、出射面26に向けて拡散パターン形成面23Nからの光を内面反射する。第3反射面24は、例えば平面状であり、前側が水平方向の内側に傾くように形成される。第3反射面24は、後述する遮光部25の左右方向の両端に接続する位置に配置される。第3反射面24は、光を拡散する光拡散部24aを有する。光拡散部24aは、第3反射面24で反射される光を水平方向に拡散する。
遮光部25は、第2反射面23及び第3反射面24で内面反射される光の一部を遮光する。遮光部25は、例えば図2に示すように、車両用導光体20のうち車両搭載状態における下側に配置される面20eと面20fとで角部20gを形成するように屈曲された形状を有する。面20eは、水平面に沿った状態で形成される。また、面20fは、例えば前方に向けて下方に傾いた状態で形成される。角部20gは、車両用導光体20を外部側(下方)から見た場合に凹状であり、車両用導光体20の内部側に向けて突出している。角部20gは、左右方向に線状に延びている。遮光部25は、角部20gにおいて、例えば後述する前照灯パターンのカットオフラインPcを形成する。カットオフラインPcは、水平カットオフラインと斜めカットオフラインとを含む。この場合、角部20gは、水平カットオフラインを形成するための水平部分(不図示)と、斜めカットオフラインを形成するための傾斜部分(不図示)とを有する。
出射面26は、第2反射面23で内面反射されて遮光部25を通過した光を出射して車両前方に前照灯パターンPF(図8参照)を照射する。出射面26は、例えば曲面状である。出射面26は、不図示の焦点と、光軸とを有する。出射面26の焦点は、第2反射面23の焦点Pの近傍の位置に配置される。
次に、上記のように構成された車両用灯具ユニット100の動作を説明する。図7は、車両前方の仮想のスクリーンに照射される集光パターン及び拡散パターンの一例を示す図である。また、図8は、車両前方の仮想のスクリーンに照射される前照灯パターンの一例を示す図である。図7及び図8では、左側通行の車両に対応するパターンを示している。なお、右側通行の車両においては、図7及び図8に示すパターンを左右反転させたパターンを照射する構成とすればよい。また、図7及び図8において、V−V線がスクリーンの垂直線を示し、H−H線がスクリーンの左右の水平線を示す。また、ここでは、垂直線と水平線との交点が、水平方向の基準位置であるとする。
Claims (7)
- 光源からの光を入射する入射面と、
前記入射面から入射した前記光を内面反射して略平行光とする第1反射面と、
回転放物面を基調とする形状を有し、前記第1反射面からの前記光を車両搭載状態における前後方向の前方に内面反射する第2反射面と、
前記第2反射面に対して前記前後方向の前方であって車両搭載状態における左右方向の少なくとも一方側の端面の一部に設けられる第3反射面と、
前記第2反射面で反射された前記光の一部を遮光する遮光部と、
前記第2反射面で内面反射されて前記遮光部を通過した前記光を出射して車両前方に前照灯パターンを照射する出射面と
を備え、
前記第2反射面は、前記第1反射面からの前記光の一部を前記第3反射面に向けて反射する拡散パターン形成面を有し、
前記第3反射面は、前記出射面に向けて前記拡散パターン形成面からの前記光を内面反射する
車両用導光体。 - 前記第3反射面は、平面状であり、前記前後方向の前側が前記水平方向の内側に傾くように形成される
請求項1に記載の車両用導光体。 - 前記第3反射面は、前記光を拡散する光拡散部を有する
請求項1又は請求項2に記載の車両用導光体。 - 前記第2反射面は、前記第1反射面からの前記光の一部が前記回転放物面の焦点及び前記焦点の近傍を通過するように当該光を内面反射する集光パターン形成面を有する
請求項1から請求項3のいずれか一項に記載の車両用導光体。 - 前記集光パターン形成面は、前記水平方向の中央に配置され、
前記拡散パターン形成面は、前記集光パターン形成面に対して前記水平方向の外側に配置される
請求項4に記載の車両用導光体。 - 前記入射面は、複数設けられ、
前記左右方向の中央側に配置される前記入射面は、前記集光パターン形成面に対応して設けられ、
前記左右方向の外側に配置される前記入射面は、前記拡散パターン形成面に対応して設けられる
請求項5に記載の車両用導光体。 - 光源を備え、
前記光源からの光を導光して出射する、請求項1から請求項6のいずれか一項に記載の車両用導光体を複数備える
