前記カバー部材３０の長さについては、適宜変形することができ、例えば、元竿杆５と略同じ長さにして、全長に亘って被着する構造にすることで、釣竿としてコンパクト化（モバイル化）が図れ、かつ、使用時に長くして使用することができ、取扱性の向上が図れる。
前記カバー部材３０の元竿杆５に対する固定方法については、圧入構造、螺合構造、クランプ等による構造等、適宜変形することが可能であり、その固定位置についても適宜変形することが可能である。
前記カバー部材３０の形状については、元竿杆５に収納される竿杆の飛び出しを防止し、元竿杆のグリップとして機能されれば、形状、長さ等適宜変形することが可能である。
