Abstract
Description
例えば、活性炭(特許文献1)、モレキュラーシーブ、ゼオライト(特許文献2)、Amberlyatとも呼ばれるスルホン酸を有する高分子等(非特許文献1)の材料等が使用されているが、それらの吸着容量は比較的低く、効率がよくない。
また、ガラス部材を用いたアンモニア吸着における温度は104℃までの報告しかなく、実用化の視点から、報告されている温度を超える温度条件でアンモニアを吸着し、しかも気体や液体を容易に通過できる必要があるが、未だにそのようなガラス素材は得られていないのが現状である。
(1)酸化ケイ素を基質とし、アンモニアの吸着と脱離を行うための原子番号8と14を除く3から83までの元素から選択されるイオンを主たる成分として含むイオン混合体であって、
前記基質である酸化ケイ素が、下記一般式(1)で表されるテトラアルコキシシランを出発原料として作製されるアモルファス状の酸化ケイ素であり、
一般式(1) (RO)4Si (Rは、アルキル基)
前記イオン混合体は、アンモニアの動的分子径よりも大きな内部空間を有し、アンモニアの吸着と脱離を行うためのイオンが表面と内部に保持されていること特徴とする、イオン混合体。
(2)さらに有機ポリマーを含む、上記(1)に記載のイオン混合体。
(3)前記有機ポリマーが、ポリエチレングリコール、ポリエチレンオキシド、ポリ(ピロメリト酸二無水物-co-4,4′-オキシジアニリン)アミド酸(Poly(pyromellitic dianhydride-co-4, 4'-oxydianiline), amic acid」)、またはポリビニルアルコールである、上記(3)に記載のイオン混合体。
(4)平均直径が1μm〜10cmであり、アンモニアを吸着させた後アンモニアを脱離させることができ、再利用によるアンモニアの吸着・脱離を3回以上行うことのできる、上記(1)ないし(3)のいずれかに記載のイオン混合体。
(5)上記(1)ないし(4)のいずれかに記載のイオン混合体を、アンモニアを含む気体、液体、もしくはそれらの混合物に接触させ、アンモニアを吸着させるアンモニアの吸着方法。
(6)圧力が1〜500気圧、温度が105℃以上、および相対湿度が100%以下の条件下でアンモニアを吸着させる、上記(5)に記載のアンモニアの吸着方法。
(7)上記(1)ないし(4)のいずれかに記載のイオン混合体を、アンモニアを含む気体、液体、もしくはそれらの混合物に接触させてアンモニアを吸着させた後、アンモニアを吸着させた圧力より圧力低下を行う処理、アンモニアを吸着させた温度より温度上昇を行う処理、アンモニアを吸着させた相対湿度より湿度を下げて除湿条件下にさらす湿度変化の処理、およびアンモニアを吸着させた相対湿度より湿度を上げ、加湿条件下にさらす湿度変化の処理、からなる群から選択される少なくとも1種の処理を行う、アンモニアの脱離方法。
(8)上記(7)に記載のアンモニアの脱離方法によりアンモニアを回収する、アンモニアの回収方法。
(9)上記(1)ないし(4)のいずれかに記載のイオン混合体に、アンモニアを吸着させるアンモニア吸着工程と、アンモニアを脱離させるアンモニア脱離工程を行うアンモニアの回収装置であって、
前記アンモニア脱離工程が、減圧条件下にする圧力低下の処理工程、加熱する温度上昇の処理工程、除湿条件下にする湿度変化の処理工程、および加湿条件下にする湿度変化の処理工程からなる群から選択される少なくとも1種の処理工程である、アンモニアの回収装置。
(10)前記アンモニア脱離工程の後に、気体状のアンモニアをボンベもしくはタンクに回収する工程、液化アンモニアをボンベもしくはタンクに回収する工程、またはアンモニウムイオンを含む溶液、水溶液、もしくは無機物の塩個体として回収する工程からなる群から選択される少なくとも1種の回収工程を行う、上記(9)に記載のアンモニアの回収装置。
このアモスファス状の酸化ケイ素を形成させる作製工程は、イオン混合体を作製する工程と同時に行ってもよい。この場合、例えば、水とアルコールの混合溶媒にTEOSを加え、次に塩酸を微量加え、温度を約80℃にして攪拌しながら、塩化鉄(III)等を固体のまま加えよく撹拌することにより、イオン混合体を作製することができる。イオンである塩化鉄(III)等を加えるタイミングは作製工程の条件に応じて任意に選択できる。
本発明のイオン混合体は、テトラアルコキシシランを出発原料として作製されるアモルファス状の酸化ケイ素の基質の表面と内部にイオンが混合されているが、本発明の作製により、基質である酸化ケイ素の構造体中に、アンモニアの動的分子径0.26nmよりも大きな内部空間が、自然に、自律的に、多数形成されており、内部までアンモニアを誘導するルートが形成され、アンモニア吸着の効率を上げる格別な効果を有する。そのため、本発明の作製において、テトラアルコキシシランを出発原料としイオン混合体を作製することが好ましい。その他、元々イオンが混合された酸化ケイ素(-Si-O-Si-O-)の1次元、2次元、3次元のネットワークを有するガラス塊を、粉砕機やボールミル等によりナノレベルまで細かく粉砕し、得られた細かい粉をガラス融点付近まで昇温加熱し、必要な場合圧縮することで、アンモニアの動的分子径0.26nmよりも大きな内部空間を有するイオン混合体を作製することもできる。
さらに、本発明の酸化ケイ素を基質とするイオン混合体は、有機ポリマー、すなわち、高分子や樹脂を含有させることができる。高分子や樹脂を含有させることで、酸化ケイ素を基質とするイオン混合体であるガラス部材を割れにくくできる効果があり、さらには、水などが多く存在する条件下、ガラス部材から混合するイオンの流出を防ぐ効果や、ガラス部材の内部までアンモニア分子を移動させるルート、すなわち内部空間を形成し、アンモニア分子の吸着を増大させる効果がある。
また、段落[0018]に記載したように、アモルファス状の酸化ケイ素を形成させる作製工程は、イオン混合体を作製する工程と同時に行ってもよい。
本発明の部品は、イオン混合体と該イオン混合体を固定化し漏れ出さないようにするための、砂、シリカ、アルミナ、ガラスウール等の具材を入れた箱、袋、網、筒、カラム、パイプ等である。
本発明における酸化ケイ素を基質とするイオン混合体の作製の一例を以下に示す。TEOS(オルトケイ酸テトラエチル[tetraethyl orthosilicate]もしくはテトラエトキシシラン[tetraethoxysilane])0.45mLを、水0.40mLとエタノール0.94mLの混合溶媒に溶かし、1Nの塩酸を0.11mL加える。得られた混合液を約80℃で90分加熱する。そこへイオンの固体を、TEOSのSiとイオンのモル比が約1:0.18になるように(ここでは、無水塩化鉄(III)を約59mg)、直接加えよく混合する。加えたイオンの固体が溶けない場合は、水を若干加え溶解する。その後、約110℃に加熱し、水とエタノールを留去する。留去する水とエタノールは、蒸留塔や冷却トラップに回収し再利用できる。110℃で留去してゆくと、粒状のガラス部材が自然と形成される。得られたものを、約200℃、約10分焼結すると、大きさが0.1〜3mm程度の粒状の酸化ケイ素を基質とするイオン混合体が得られる。得られた粒状の酸化ケイ素を基質とするイオン混合体は、目的に応じて、さらに磨り潰す、篩により振り分ける等の工程により、その大きさや分布を調整し使用することができる。必要であれば、得られた粒状の酸化ケイ素を基質とするイオン混合体を、水で洗浄し細かいパウダーを篩により除去し、約200℃以上の高温で再度焼結してから使用することができる。また、本実施例で示した各原料の量は、スケールアップし多くすることができ、または、逆に少なくし、随時変更できる。各原料の比率は、本実施例で示した比率もしくはそれに近い比率にすることが好ましい。
本発明における酸化ケイ素を基質とするイオン混合体の作製の他例を以下に示す。TEOS(オルトケイ酸テトラエチル[tetraethyl orthosilicate]、もしくはテトラエトキシシラン[tetraethoxysilane])0.45mLを、水0.40mLとエタノール0.94mLの混合溶媒に溶かし、1Nの塩酸を0.11mL加える。得られた混合液を約80℃で90分加熱する。そこへイオンの固体を、TEOSのSiとイオンのモル比が約1:0.18になるように(ここでは、無水塩化鉄(III)を約59mg)、直接加えよく混合する。得られた溶液に、水もしくは、アルコールの混合溶媒に溶かした有機ポリマーを加える(ここでは、約5%PVA水溶液0.5mL)。その後、約110℃に加熱し、溶媒を留去する。留去する溶媒は、蒸留塔や冷却トラップに回収し再利用できる。110℃で留去してゆくと、粒状のガラスが自然と形成される。得られたものを、約200℃、約10分焼結すると、大きさが0.1〜5mm程度の酸化ケイ素を基質とするイオン混合体が得られる。また、本実施例で示した各原料の量は、スケールアップし多くすることができ、または、逆に少なくし、随時変更できる。各原料の比率は、本実施例で示した比率もしくはそれに近い比率にすることが好ましい。
比較実験のため、ガラスの結晶である石英を磨り潰し、粒状にしたものについて、アンモニアの吸着特性を、ガス吸脱着装置(BelsorpMax[マイクロトラックベル社])により行った。サンプルの質量は150℃乾燥を十分に行い電子天秤により秤量した(後述の実施例も同様)。石英を磨り潰した大きさ約0.1〜1mmの粉を、94.5mg、BelsorpMax装置用のサンプル管に入れ、その温度を一定の高温150℃にし、測定を行った。その結果、1bar(約1気圧)における吸着容量は、約0.2mmol/gと非常に小さいことがわかった。以上より、石英を磨り潰しただけの粒では、アンモニアの吸着は効率的でない。
水(0.45mL)とエタノール(0.94mL)の混合を溶媒に、TEOS(0.45mL)を加え、1Nの塩酸を0.11mL加え、次に有機ポリマー(高分子、PVA)の水溶液(約0.5%、1mL)を加え、さらに、塩化鉄(III)(約60mg)を個体のまま加え、よく撹拌し、得られた混合液の温度を約80℃にし、約90分間撹拌した。その後、温度を110℃にあげ、水とエタノールを留去した。水とエタノールが留去されると、自然に酸化ケイ素を基質とするイオン混合体であるガラス部材の粒が形成され、得られた粒を、空気中昇温できる電気炉もしくは加熱器にセットし、温度を室温から約200℃に昇温し、約200℃に到達後5分程度焼結した。温度を室温へ下げると、酸化ケイ素を基質とするイオン混合体が得られた。得られた粒を50mg、BelsorpMax装置用のサンプル管に入れ、その温度を一定の高温150℃にした。次に、純アンモニアガスボンベから供給されるアンモニアガスを用い、管内のアンモニアガスの圧力を少しずつ変化させ、その直後から管内のアンモニアガスの圧力変化の測定を行い、該粒のアンモニア吸着容量を測定した。その結果、1bar(約1気圧)における吸着容量は、約3.3mmol/gとなり、有機ポリマーを織り込んだ酸化ケイ素を基質とするイオン混合体は、前記のガラスやイオン混合体に比べて、吸着容量が最大となった。有機ポリマーを混合したことで、酸化ケイ素を基質とするイオン混合体であるガラス部材の強度を増し、イオンの流出を抑えることができた。

Claims (10)
- 酸化ケイ素を基質とし、アンモニアの吸着と脱離を行うための原子番号8と14を除く3から83までの元素から選択されるイオンを主たる成分として含むイオン混合体であって、
前記基質である酸化ケイ素が、下記一般式(1)で表されるテトラアルコキシシランを出発原料として作製されるアモルファス状の酸化ケイ素であり、
一般式(1) (RO)4Si (Rは、アルキル基)
前記イオン混合体は、アンモニアの動的分子径よりも大きな内部空間を有し、アンモニアの吸着と脱離を行うためのイオンが表面と内部に保持されていること特徴とする、イオン混合体。 - さらに有機ポリマーを含む、請求項1に記載のイオン混合体。
- 前記有機ポリマーが、ポリエチレングリコール、ポリエチレンオキシド、ポリ(ピロメリト酸二無水物-co-4,4′-オキシジアニリン)アミド酸(Poly(pyromellitic dianhydride-co-4, 4'-oxydianiline), amic acid」)、またはポリビニルアルコールである、請求項3に記載のイオン混合体。
- 平均直径が1μm〜10cmであり、アンモニアを吸着させた後アンモニアを脱離させることができ、再利用によるアンモニアの吸着・脱離を3回以上行うことのできる、請求項1ないし3のいずれかに記載のイオン混合体。
- 請求項1ないし4のいずれかに記載のイオン混合体を、アンモニアを含む気体、液体、もしくはそれらの混合物に接触させ、アンモニアを吸着させるアンモニアの吸着方法。
- 圧力が1〜500気圧、温度が105℃以上、および相対湿度が100%以下の条件下でアンモニアを吸着させる、請求項5に記載のアンモニアの吸着方法。
- 請求項1ないし4のいずれかに記載のイオン混合体を、アンモニアを含む気体、液体、もしくはそれらの混合物に接触させてアンモニアを吸着させた後、アンモニアを吸着させた圧力より圧力低下を行う処理、アンモニアを吸着させた温度より温度上昇を行う処理、アンモニアを吸着させた相対湿度より湿度を下げて除湿条件下にさらす湿度変化の処理、およびアンモニアを吸着させた相対湿度より湿度を上げ、加湿条件下にさらす湿度変化の処理、からなる群から選択される少なくとも1種の処理を行う、アンモニアの脱離方法。
- 請求項7に記載のアンモニアの脱離方法によりアンモニアを回収する、アンモニアの回収方法。
- 請求項1ないし4のいずれかに記載のイオン混合体に、アンモニアを吸着させるアンモニア吸着工程と、アンモニアを脱離させるアンモニア脱離工程を行うアンモニアの回収装置であって、
