Description

The present invention relates to a connector device for connecting two connectors.

A connector device for connecting two connectors, in which one connector is provided with a flexible and deformable cantilevered lock arm, and the other connector is provided with a locking hole for engaging with the lock arm. It is known (for example, Patent Document 1). The extending end of the lock arm is provided with a protrusion that is locked in the locking hole. Both connectors are in a locked state in which separation is prevented by injecting a protrusion into the locking hole by utilizing the bending deformation of the lock arm.

In a connector device in which two connectors are connected, it is preferable that an operator can appropriately connect and separate the connector device. However, in the connector device of Patent Document 1, it is not easy to separate the protrusion of the lock arm from the locking hole, and it is difficult to separate both connectors.

An object to be solved by the present invention is to facilitate the separation of two connectors in a connector device for connecting two connectors.

In order to solve the above problems, one aspect of the present invention is a connector having a first connector (5) and a second connector (3) having an insertion chamber (19) into which the first connector should be inserted. In the device (1), the second connector has a side wall (15) that defines the insertion chamber, and a locking portion (29) that is provided on the outer surface of the side wall and projects outward. The first connector is coupled to the housing body (25) inserted into the insertion chamber and the housing body, and cooperates with the locking portion to connect the first connector and the second connector. An arm portion (31) for locking in a connected state and an operation portion (33) for releasing the lock by the arm portion are provided, and the arm portion is coupled to the outer surface of the housing body and is connected in the insertion direction. Two connecting portions (35) arranged in orthogonal directions, two extending portions (37) extending from the connecting portion in the insertion direction on the outer surface of the outer surface of the housing body, and the extending portion of the extending portion. It has a cross beam portion (39) for connecting the extending ends, and the cross beam portion is provided with a locked portion (43) that protrudes toward the housing body and can be engaged with and disengaged from the locking portion. The operating portion has a base end coupled to the cross beam portion, has a surface facing the outer surface of the housing body, has a plate shape extending in the direction opposite to the insertion direction, and has the first connector. Is inserted into the second connector, the side wall is located between the operation portion and the housing body, and faces the surface of the operation portion facing the side wall or the operation portion of the side wall. When a load directed toward the side wall is applied to the extending end of the operating portion, the extending end of the operating portion is used as a force point, the base end of the operating portion is used as an action point, and itself is used as a fulcrum. It is characterized in that a protruding portion (45) that protrudes as much as possible is provided.

According to this configuration, when an operator applies a load toward the side wall to the extending end of the operating portion, the extending end of the operating portion serves as a force point, the protruding portion serves as a fulcrum, and the locked portion serves as an action point. By this principle, the locking portion moves in the direction away from the side wall. As a result, the locking portion and the locked portion do not match in the insertion direction, and the engagement between the locking portion and the locked portion is released. Thereby, the first connector and the second connector (hereinafter, both connectors) can be easily separated.

Further, since the way in which the load is applied to the arm portion can be changed when both connectors are connected and when the connection is released, it is possible to prevent a portion where the load is concentrated on the arm portion both when the connector is connected and when the connection is released. Therefore, deterioration due to the use of the connector device can be prevented.

In the above aspect, the protrusion is provided on a surface of the operation portion facing the side wall, and a rib (on the surface of the operation portion facing the side wall is a rib extending from the protrusion to the extending end of the operation portion. 46) may be provided.

According to this configuration, it is possible to prevent bending deformation between the protruding portion and the extending end of the operating portion. As a result, when a load directed toward the side wall is applied to the extending end of the operating portion, the locked portion located on the base end side of the operating portion can be easily moved, and the locking portion and the locked portion are engaged with each other. It will be easier to release the case.

In the above aspect, the protruding end surface of the protruding portion may have an arc shape protruding toward the side wall in a side view.

According to this configuration, when a load is applied to the extending end side of the operating portion, the protruding portion rolls along the wall surface of the side wall, and the operating portion moves in the direction opposite to the insertion direction. This facilitates disengagement between the locked portion and the locked portion.

In the above aspect, it is preferable that the locked portions are provided at both ends of the cross beam portion.

According to this configuration, two locked portions separated in a direction orthogonal to the insertion direction are locked to the locking portion, thereby preventing rattling of both connected connectors and connecting the two connectors. Is held stable.

In the above aspect, it is preferable that the side wall is provided with a recess (15A) that is recessed toward the insertion chamber and receives the operation portion.

According to this configuration, the connector device in the coupled state can be reduced in size.

According to the present invention, in a connector device for connecting two connectors, the two connectors can be easily separated.

As shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the connector device 1 includes a plug (first connector) which is a connector and a receptacle (second connector) which is a connector into which the plug is inserted, and for connecting the two. It is a device. In the present embodiment, the connector device 1 includes a surface mount type connector 3 as a receptacle and a plug-side connector 5 as a plug.

As shown in FIG. 1, the surface mount type connector 3 is a connector mounted on the surface of the printed circuit board 7, and includes a header 9 and a plurality of male terminals 11 coupled to the header 9.

The header 9 is erected from a substantially rectangular terminal mounting wall 13 (see FIG. 4), two lateral side walls 15 erected from each of the long sides of the terminal mounting wall 13, and erected from each of the short sides of the terminal mounting wall 13. Includes the two vertical side walls 17 and the like. The two horizontal side walls 15 and the two vertical side walls 17 are erected in the same direction with respect to the terminal mounting wall 13, respectively, and the header 9 is connected to the horizontal side wall 15 and the connection side of the vertical side wall 17 with the terminal mounting wall 13. Has a rectangular parallelepiped shape with an opening 9A on the opposite side. The terminal mounting wall 13, the two lateral side walls 15, and the two vertical side walls 17 define a connector insertion chamber 19 in which the plug-side connector 5 can be inserted and removed from the opening 9A in the header 9. A plurality of terminal mounting holes (not shown) arranged in two rows along the long side are formed through the terminal mounting wall 13. In this embodiment, the header 9 is substantially symmetrical with respect to the long side direction of the terminal mounting wall 13.

The male terminal 11 is a metal member having a substantially L-shape, and is inserted into each terminal mounting hole on one end side and coupled to the terminal mounting wall 13. The male terminal 11 extends substantially parallel to the short side of the terminal mounting wall 13 on the other end side, and is soldered to a pad 7A provided on the surface of the printed circuit board 7 at each extending end. As a result, the surface mount type connector 3 is coupled to the printed circuit board 7 via the male terminal 11.

In the following, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 2, the direction perpendicular to the surface of the printed circuit board 7 and away from the surface of the printed circuit board 7 is upward based on the state in which the surface-mounted connector 3 is coupled to the printed circuit board 7. The direction parallel to the long side of the terminal mounting wall 13 is defined as the left-right direction, and the direction parallel to the short side is defined as the front-rear direction. The direction is defined for convenience of explanation, and is not limited thereto.

As shown in FIG. 1, the plug-side connector 5 includes a resin-made plug-side housing 21 having electrical insulation (hereinafter, housing 21) and a female terminal (not shown) provided in the housing 21. including. The housing 21 includes a housing body 25 having a substantially rectangular parallelepiped box shape extending in one direction. The housing body 25 is formed with a plurality of terminal mounting holes 27 penetrating in a direction orthogonal to the extending direction. The terminal mounting holes 27 are formed so as to be arranged in two rows along the extending direction. The female terminal is a metal member, which is electrically connected to a predetermined wiring 23A and is mounted in the corresponding terminal mounting holes 27.

As shown in FIG. 2, the surface mount type connector 3 is coupled to the printed circuit board 7 so that the opening 9A of the header 9 is located on the upper side. When fitting the plug-side connector 5 to the surface mount type connector 3, the operator first arranges the plug-side connector 5 so that the housing body 25 extends in the left-right direction and the terminal mounting hole 27 extends in the up-down direction. .. After that, the operator arranges the housing body 25 of the plug-side connector 5 above the opening 9A of the surface mount type connector 3, moves the housing body 25 downward in the insertion direction, and inserts the housing body 25 into the opening 9A. As a result, the surface mount type connector 3 and the plug-side connector 5 are fitted and connected to each other.

When the plug-side connector 5 is fitted to the surface mount connector 3, the housing body 25 is inserted into the connector insertion chamber 19, and the male terminals 11 are electrically connected to the corresponding female terminals.

As shown in FIGS. 2 and 4, the header 9 and the housing 21 are provided with a lock mechanism 28 that keeps the surface mount type connector 3 and the plug-side connector 5 connected to each other. As shown in FIG. 4, the locking mechanism 28 includes a locking portion 29 provided on the header 9 and a latch portion 30 provided on the housing 21. Hereinafter, as shown in FIG. 1, the housing 21 will also be described by defining each direction of up / down, front / back, and left / right with reference to the case where the housing 21 is inserted into the surface mount type connector 3.

As shown in FIG. 1, the locking portion 29 is provided on the outer surface of the header 9 and has a protruding shape protruding from the outer surface. More specifically, the locking portion 29 is formed as a ridge projecting forward and extending in the left-right direction at a substantially central portion in the left-right direction of the outer surface (that is, the front surface) of the front lateral side wall 15. In the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 1, the lateral side wall 15 on the front side is provided with a receiving recess 15A recessed on the side of the connector insertion chamber 19, that is, rearward, and the locking portion 29 is provided on the bottom surface of the receiving recess 15A. Has been done. As shown in FIG. 1, the locking portion 29 may be provided with a lightening portion 29A formed by notching the tip thereof rearward at a plurality of predetermined locations in the left-right direction.

As shown in FIG. 3, the latch portion 30 cooperates with the locking portion 29 to lock the surface mount type connector 3 and the plug-side connector 5 in a coupled state, and the arm portion 31 and the arm portion 31. Includes a release operation unit 33 for releasing the lock by.

The arm portions 31 are connected to the upper edge of the front surface of the housing body 25 side by side in the left-right direction, and each extends downward from each of the pair of left and right connecting portions 35 (see FIG. 1) extending forward and downward. It has a pair of left and right extending portions 37, and a cross beam portion 39 extending in the left-right direction and connecting the extending ends (lower ends) of the extending portions 37, respectively. The extending portion 37 is located in front (outside) of the lateral side wall 15 on the front side of the housing body 25, and a gap 41 is provided in the front-rear direction between the extending portion 37 and the lateral side wall 15 on the front side of the housing body 25. (See Fig. 4). As a result, as shown in FIGS. 1 and 4, each of the extending portions 37 is supported by the housing body 25 at the upper end in a side view (left-right direction view), extends downward, and swings freely. It has a cantilever shape that can be bent and deformed with a lower end).

As shown in FIG. 3, the rear surface of the cross beam portion 39 is provided with a protruding locked portion 43 projecting toward the rear (that is, the housing body 25). As shown in FIG. 4, when the plug-side connector 5 is inserted into the surface mount type connector 3 and fitted (hereinafter, when the connector device 1 is in the coupled state), the lateral side wall on the front side of the header 9 Reference numeral 15 is fitted between the extension portion 37 and the housing body 25. Further, the locked portion 43 is aligned with the locking portion 29 in the left-right direction and is located below the locking portion 29 (that is, in the forward direction in the insertion direction). As a result, the locking portion 29 and the locked portion 43 are engaged with each other, and the locking portion 29 restricts the upward movement of the locked portion 43. Therefore, the plug-side connector 5 is prevented from being detached from the surface-mounted connector 3, and the plug-side connector 5 and the surface-mounted connector 3 are maintained (locked) in a state of being connected to each other.

In the present embodiment, as shown in FIG. 1, the arm portion 31 is formed so as to be symmetrical with respect to the center in the left-right direction on the front surface of the housing main body 25. In the present embodiment, the locked portion 43 is formed as a pair of left and right protrusions provided on the left and right ends of the cross beam portion 39, respectively. The locked portion 43 is arranged substantially symmetrically with respect to the substantially center in the left-right direction of the housing 21.

The release operation unit 33 has a plate shape having a surface facing in the front-rear direction. The release operation portion 33 is connected to the cross beam portion 39 at the lower edge (base end) and extends upward (in the direction opposite to the insertion direction). As a result, the release operation portion 33 has a cantilever shape connected to the cross beam portion 39 at its lower edge. As shown in FIG. 3, the release operation unit 33 includes a protrusion 45 that projects rearward toward the housing body 25 at a substantially central portion in the vertical direction on the rear surface.

As shown in FIG. 4, when the connector device 1 is in the coupled state, the lateral side wall 15 on the front side of the header 9 is located between the release operation unit 33 and the housing main body 25. The release operation unit 33 is received by the receiving recess 15A on the front side of the lateral side wall 15 on the front side of the header 9. At this time, the rear surface of the release operation unit 33 faces the front surface of the lateral side wall 15 on the front side of the header 9, and more specifically, the bottom surface of the receiving recess 15A. Further, the front surface of the release operation portion 33 and the portion of the lateral side wall 15 on the front side where the receiving recess 15A is not provided should be substantially flush with each other.

As shown in FIG. 4, when the connector device 1 is in the coupled state, the locked portion 43 and the protruding portion 45 each project toward the front surface of the lateral side wall 15 on the front side of the header 9, and the locking portion 29 is for releasing. It projects toward the rear surface of the operation unit 33. The protruding portion 45, the locking portion 29, and the locked portion 43 are arranged so as to be arranged in the order described in the forward direction (that is, downward) of the insertion direction. The locked portion 43 is on the lower side (forward side in the insertion direction) with respect to the locking portion 29, and the locked portion 43 and the locking portion 29 are positioned so as to be aligned vertically.

The protruding end surface 45A of the protruding portion 45 has a lateral side wall 15 on the front side of the header 9, that is, an arc shape that protrudes rearward in a side view (left-right direction view). As shown in FIG. 4, when the connector device 1 is in the coupled state, the protruding end surface 45A of the protruding portion 45 may be in contact with the front surface of the lateral side wall 15 on the front side of the header 9.

A reinforcing rib 46 extending upward from the protruding portion 45 is provided on the rear surface of the releasing operation portion 33. The rib 46 extends upward from the protruding portion 45 and reaches the upper edge of the releasing operation portion 33. In the present embodiment, two ribs 46 connecting the protrusion 45 and the upper edge of the release operation portion 33 are provided side by side on the rear surface of the release operation portion 33.

Slits 47, which are notches extending in the vertical direction, are formed between the left and right edges of the release operation portion 33 and the left and right extension portions 37, respectively. As a result, the release operation unit 33 and the left and right extension portions 37 are separated from each other in the left-right direction, and a gap 51 is provided between the release operation unit 33 and the left and right extension portions 37. There is.

A pressing portion 49 projecting forward is provided at the upper end (extending end) of the front surface of the releasing operation portion 33. The pressing portion 49 rises forward along the upper edge of the releasing operation portion 33 and forms a streak extending in the left-right direction. The release operation unit 33 is coupled to the housing body 25 via the arm unit 31, and the pressing unit 49 can move back and forth with respect to the housing body 25.

Next, the operation of the connector device 1 according to the present invention will be described with reference to FIGS. 5 and 6.

When the plug-side connector 5 is inserted into the surface mount type connector 3, the locked portion 43 comes into contact with the locking portion 29. When the locked portion 43 comes into contact with the locking portion 29, a load facing forward from the locking portion 29 is applied to the locked portion 43. At this time, a load is mainly applied to the joint portion 35 of the arm portion 31, the joint portion 35 becomes a fulcrum (hereinafter, a fulcrum at the time of insertion), and the extension portion 37 rotates substantially about the joint portion 35. The arm portion 31 is deformed. As a result, the locking portion 29 moves in the direction (forward) avoiding the locked portion 43 (see FIG. 5A). Further, when the operator inserts the plug-side connector 5 into the surface mount type connector 3 and moves the locked portion 43 below the locking portion 29, a forward load applied to the lower end of the arm portion 31 is applied. It is released, and the bending deformation of the arm portion 31 is released. As a result, the locked portion 43 moves rearward, and the locked portion 29 and the locked portion 43 are aligned vertically (see FIG. 5B). As a result, the locking portion 29 and the locked portion 43 are engaged with each other, the upward movement of the plug-side connector 5 is restricted, and the plug-side connector 5 and the surface-mounted connector 3 are maintained in a coupled state. Be (locked).

When the plug-side connector 5 is separated from the surface mount type connector 3, the operator presses the pressing portion 49 backward. As a result, the pressing portion 49 is used as a force point, the protruding portion 45, and more specifically, the contact point P (see FIG. 6A) between the protruding end surface 45A of the protruding portion 45 and the front surface of the lateral side wall 15 on the front side of the header 9 is used as a fulcrum (see FIG. Hereinafter, a load facing forward is applied to the lower end of the release operation unit 33 by the so-called principle of using the lower end of the release operation unit 33 as the action point. As a result, the arm portion 31 bends and deforms at the substantially central portion in the vertical direction and the joint portion 35, and the locked portion 43 located at the lower end of the release operation portion 33 moves forward (see FIG. 6A). .. When the operator applies a sufficient load to press the pressing portion 49, the locked portion 43 moves forward of the locking portion 29, and the engaged portion 43 and the locking portion 29 are disengaged. The locked portion 43 can be moved upward (see FIG. 6B). At this time, when the operator lifts the plug-side connector 5, the plug-side connector 5 and the surface mount type connector 3 can be separated (see FIG. 6C).

In this way, the pressing portion 49 releases the engagement between the locking portion 29 and the locked portion 43 from the operator, and the operation input for separating the plug-side connector 5 and the surface mount type connector 3 ( It functions as a reception unit that accepts pressing).

Next, the effect of the connector device 1 according to the present invention will be described. In order to lock both connectors 3 and 5, one side connector (plug side connector 5) may be inserted into the other side connector (surface mount type connector 3), and both connectors 3 and 5 can be easily locked. is there.

In the present embodiment, the arm portion 31 extends along the forward direction (downward) of the insertion direction of the plug-side connector 5. As a result, the arm portion 31 is more likely to bend and deform when the plug-side connector 5 is inserted into the surface mount type connector 3, as compared with the mode in which the arm portion 31 extends in the left-right direction. This makes it easier for the locked portion 43 to move to a position where it engages with the locking portion 29 at the time of insertion, so that both connectors 3 and 5 can be locked more easily.

Further, when both connectors 3 and 5 are locked, the pressing portion 49 is pressed backward to deform the connecting portion 35 of the arm portion 31, so that the locking portion 29 and the locked portion 43 are engaged. Can be released. As a result, the operator can easily separate (that is, unlock) the plug-side connector 5 and the surface mount type connector 3.

When the operator presses the pressing portion 49, the contact point P between the protruding end surface 45A of the protruding portion 45 and the front surface of the lateral side wall 15 on the front side of the header 9 is used as a fulcrum. Is loaded with a forward load. As a result, a load facing forward is applied to the lower end portion of the arm portion 31 connected to the lower end portion of the release operation portion 33, and the engagement between the locking portion 29 and the locked portion 43 is released. As described above, by using the lever principle, a larger load can be applied to the lower end portion of the arm portion 31, so that the vicinity of the connecting portion 35 of the arm portion 31 and the entire arm portion 31 can be easily deformed. Therefore, the engagement between the locking portion 29 and the locked portion 43 can be easily disengaged, and the plug-side connector 5 and the surface mount type connector 3 can be easily separated.

Since the fulcrum for release can be configured by providing the protruding portion 45, the configuration is simple. Further, by providing the release operation portion 33 with a rib 46 extending from the protrusion 45 to the upper edge, it is possible to prevent bending deformation between the protrusion 45 and the upper edge of the release operation portion 33 at the time of unlocking. .. As a result, the load applied to the pressing portion 49 at the time of unlocking can be more effectively transmitted to the lower end side of the releasing operation portion 33, so that the arm portion 31 coupled to the base end of the releasing operation portion 33 The lower end portion is easily moved forward, and the engagement between the locking portion 29 and the locked portion 43 is easily disengaged.

In the present embodiment, the protruding end surface 45A of the protruding portion 45 is formed so as to form an arc. As a result, when a load toward the rear is applied to the pressing portion 49, the protruding portion 45 moves so as to roll along the front surface of the lateral side wall 15 on the front side on the tip surface 45A. At this time, the lower end of the arm portion 31 moves from the position indicated by the alternate long and short dash line in FIG. 6 (A) to the position indicated by the solid line, that is, forward and upward indicated by the arrow in FIG. 6 (A). As a result, the engagement between the locking portion 29 and the locked portion 43 is more likely to be disengaged than when the lower end of the arm portion 31 simply moves forward. Therefore, the lock can be released more easily, and the plug-side connector 5 and the surface mount type connector 3 can be easily separated.

When the operator inserts the plug-side connector 5 into the surface mount type connector 3 and locks both, the load is concentrated on the joint portion 35, and the arm portion 31 is mainly deformed at the joint portion 35 (FIG. 5 (A). )reference). On the other hand, when unlocking and separating the two connectors 3 and 5, in addition to the connecting portion 35 of the arm portion 31, the protruding portion 45 serves as a fulcrum, and the extending portion 37 elastically deforms so as to bend (FIG. 6B). reference). As a result, the load is distributed when both connectors 3 and 5 are separated. In this way, the way the load is applied to the arm portion 31 changes between when both connectors 3 and 5 are locked and when the lock is released, and the load is applied to the joint portion 35 of the arm portion 31 both when the connector is locked and when the lock is released. It is possible to prevent concentration. Therefore, by using the connector device 1, it is possible to prevent the joint portion 35 of the arm portion 31 from becoming fatigued and deteriorated (so-called settling).

A slit 47 is provided between the release operation portion 33 and the extension portion 37. As a result, the movement of the releasing operation unit 33 in response to the pressing force of the operator against the pressing unit 49 is less likely to be hindered by the extending portion 37, so that the locked portion 43 can easily move forward. Therefore, the engagement between the locking portion 29 and the locked portion 43 can be easily disengaged.

The arm portions 31 are connected to the upper edge of the front surface of the housing body 25 via the coupling portions 35, and extend downward from the pair of left and right extending portions 37, and extend in the left-right direction and extend the lower ends of the extending portions 37, respectively. It has a cross beam portion 39 to be connected. The release operation portion 33 is connected to the upper edge of the cross beam portion 39 and has a plate shape extending upward (in the direction opposite to the insertion direction). As a result, both the arm portion 31 and the release operation portion 33 extend in the vertical direction, and the arm portion 31 and the release operation portion 33 include a portion that overlaps with each other in the left-right direction view. On the other hand, when the release operation unit 33 is extended in the forward direction in the insertion direction, the arm unit 31 and the release operation unit 33 do not overlap in the left-right direction, and the arm unit 31 and the release operation unit 33 The size of the latch portion 30 is larger than that in the case where the latch portions 30 are overlapped with each other. That is, by setting the arm portion 31 and the release operation portion 33 to overlap each other in the left-right direction, the length of the latch portion 30 in the vertical direction can be reduced, and the connector device 1 can be miniaturized. ..

Further, the locked portions 43 are provided at both left and right ends of the cross beam portion 39, and the locked portions 43 are arranged at positions separated in the left-right direction. As a result, the latch portion 30 is coupled to the header 9 at a position separated in the left-right direction. Therefore, rattling of the coupled connectors 3 and 5 is prevented, and the coupling of the connectors 3 and 5 is stably maintained.

Further, the locked portion 43 is provided so as to be substantially symmetrical in the left-right direction of the cross beam portion 39. As a result, the operator presses the pressing portion 49 to apply a load to the arm portion 31 substantially evenly on the left and right, and deforms the two connecting portions 35 substantially evenly, thereby causing the locked portion 43 and the locking portion 29. The engagement with can be disengaged. Therefore, as compared with the case where the locked portion 43 is provided unevenly in the left-right direction of the cross beam portion 39, it is possible to prevent the load from being concentrated on one of the connecting portions 35 at the time of unlocking, and the connector device 1 can be used. It is possible to prevent deterioration due to use, particularly deterioration of the arm portion 31 due to separation of both connectors 3 and 5.

When the plug-side connector 5 is inserted into and fitted to the surface mount type connector 3, the release operation unit 33 is received by the receiving recess 15A. As a result, the connector device 1 in the coupled state can be made smaller.

<< Second Embodiment >>
The connector device 101 according to the second embodiment differs from the first embodiment only in the structure of the protrusion 145, and other configurations are the same as those in the first embodiment. Therefore, in the following, the configuration of the protruding portion 145 will be described, and the description of other parts will be omitted.

The protruding portion 45 of the connector device 101 according to the second embodiment is not provided in the release operation unit 33, and instead, a header facing the release operation unit 33 when the connector device 101 is in the coupled state. It is provided on the front surface of the lateral side wall 15 on the front side of 9. The protruding portion 145 is located above the locking portion 29 and has a convex shape protruding forward. In the present embodiment, the protrusion 145 is formed as a ridge extending in the left-right direction. As shown in FIG. 7C, it may be located behind the tip surface 145A of the protrusion 145 and the tip surface 29B of the locking portion 29.

Next, the operation of the connector device 101 will be described. As shown in FIG. 7A, when both connectors 3 and 5 are inserted and locked, the protruding portion 145 has a pressing portion 49 (extending end) and a lower end (base end) of the releasing operation portion 33. It has a mode of protruding toward the release operation unit 33. At this time, as shown in FIG. 7 (A), the protruding portion 145 may be in contact with the releasing operation portion 33 on the protruding end surface 145A, and as shown in FIG. 7 (C), the protruding portion 145 and the protruding portion 145. A gap 146 may be formed between the release operation unit 33 and the release operation unit 33.

When the operator presses the pressing portion 49 backward, as shown in FIG. 7B, the pressing portion 49 is used as a fulcrum, the protruding portion 145 (more specifically, the protruding end surface 145A of the protruding portion 145 and the releasing operation portion). The lower end of the release operation unit 33 moves forward according to the principle of leverage, with the contact point P) with 33 as the fulcrum and the lower end of the release operation unit 33 as the point of action. As a result, the locked portion 43 moves to the front of the locking portion 29. As a result, the engagement between the locked portion 43 and the locking portion 29 is released. After that, as in the case shown in FIGS. 6A to 6C, when the operator pulls the plug-side connector 5 upward, the plug-side connector 5 and the surface mount type connector 3 can be separated.

As shown in FIG. 7B, a load applied to the pressing portion 49 to move the lower end of the release operating portion 33 forward by the principle of the lever with the protruding end surface 145A as the fulcrum. The engagement between the locked portion 43 and the locking portion 29 can be released. Further, since the protruding portion 45 is formed as a protrusion provided on the lateral side wall 15 on the front side of the header 9, the configuration of the connector device 1 is simple.
