Claims (10)
- 石膏ボードであって、
2つのカバーシート間に配設された硬化石膏芯であって、前記芯が、スタッコ、水、および少なくとも1つの未調理デンプンを含むスラリーから形成され、前記少なくとも1つの未調理デンプンが、HWVA法によって粘度が測定されたときに、約20ブラベンダー単位〜約300ブラベンダー単位の熱水粘度を有する、硬化石膏芯を含む、石膏ボード。 - 石膏ボードであって、
2つのカバーシート間に配設された硬化石膏芯であって、前記芯が、スタッコ、水、および少なくとも1つの未調理デンプンを含むスラリーから形成され、前記少なくとも1つの未調理デンプンが、15%の固形分のデンプン濃度の水を含むスラリー中に前記デンプンを置き、前記デンプンが3℃/分の速度で25℃から95℃まで加熱され、前記スラリーが10分間95℃に保持され、前記デンプンが−3℃/分の速度で50℃に冷却される、75rpmおよび700cmgに設定されたビスコグラフE機器を使用することによって粘度が測定されたときに、約120ブラベンダー単位〜約1000ブラベンダー単位のピーク粘度を有する、硬化石膏芯を含む、石膏ボード。 - 石膏ボードであって、
2つのカバーシート間に配設された硬化石膏芯であって、前記芯が、スタッコ、水、および少なくとも1つの未調理デンプンを含むスラリーから形成され、前記少なくとも1つの未調理デンプンが、ブルックフィールド粘度計法によって25℃で粘度が測定されたときに、10%の固形分で約5センチポアズ〜約50センチポアズの冷水粘度を有する、硬化石膏芯を含む、石膏ボード。 - 前記未調理デンプンが、25℃で前記ブルックフィールド粘度計法に従って測定されたときに、10%の固形分で約50センチポアズ未満の冷水粘度を有する、請求項1または2に記載の石膏ボード。
- 前記デンプンが、15%の固形分のデンプン濃度の水を含むスラリー中に前記デンプンを置き、前記デンプンが3℃/分の速度で25℃から95℃まで加熱され、前記スラリーが10分間95℃に保持され、前記デンプンが−3℃/分の速度で50℃に冷却される、75rpmおよび700cmgに設定されたビスコグラフE機器を使用することによって粘度が測定されたときに、約120ブラベンダー単位〜約900ブラベンダー単位のピーク粘度を有する、請求項1、3、または4に記載の石膏ボード。
- 前記スラリーが、起泡剤、分散剤、およびポリリン酸塩をさらに含む、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の石膏ボード。
- 前記未調理デンプンが、約35pcf〜約45pcfの嵩密度を有し、前記未調理デンプンが酸変性されており、前記ボードが約16pcf〜約35pcfの密度を有する、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の石膏ボード。
- 前記ボードが、ASTM473−10の方法Bに従って、少なくとも約72lb−fの釘抜き抵抗を有する、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の石膏ボード。
- 前記未調理デンプンが、タピオカデンプン、小麦デンプン、ジャガイモデンプン、および/またはトウモロコシデンプンである、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の石膏ボード。
- 石膏ボードを調製する方法であって、
(a)スタッコ、水、および少なくとも1つの未調理デンプンを含むスラリーを混合することであって、前記少なくとも1つの未調理デンプンが、(i)HWVA法に従って約20ブラベンダー単位〜約300ブラベンダー単位の熱水粘度、および/または(ii)15%の固形分のデンプン濃度の水を含むスラリー中に前記デンプンを置き、前記デンプンが3℃/分の速度で25℃から95℃まで加熱され、前記スラリーが10分間95℃に保持され、前記デンプンが−3℃/分の速度で50℃に冷却される、75rpmおよび700cmgに設定されたビスコグラフE機器を使用することによって粘度が測定されたときに、約120ブラベンダー単位〜約1000ブラベンダー単位のピーク粘度を有する、混合することと、
(b)第1のカバーシートと第2のカバーシートとの間に前記スラリーを配設して、湿潤アセンブリを形成することと、
(c)前記湿潤アセンブリをボードに切断することと、
(d)前記ボードを乾燥させることであって、前記乾燥したボードが約35pcf(560kg/m3)以下の密度を有し、前記ボードがASTM473−10の方法Bに従って少なくとも約72lbs−fの釘抜き抵抗を有する、乾燥させることと、を含む、方法。
