- 前記電子機器アセンブリは、(a)神経組織刺激回路および(b)神経活動記録回路のうちの少なくともいずれか一方を含み、
前記神経組織刺激回路は、
(i)電流および電圧のうちの少なくともいずれか一方の源と、
(ii)バッテリーおよびコンデンサのうちの少なくともいずれか一方、または充電およびエネルギー貯蔵のうちの少なくともいずれか一方の要素と、
(iii)スイッチマトリクスとのうちの1つ以上を含み、
前記神経活動記録回路は、
(i)増幅器と、
(ii)電源と、
(iii)スイッチマトリックスとのうちの1つ以上を含むことを特徴とする請求項18に記載の医療デバイス。 - 患者の神経情報の記録または神経細胞の刺激のための方法であって、
前記患者の血管に配置されたデバイスから神経活動を表す信号を受信する工程と、
前記信号を使用して前記活動を表すデータを生成する工程と、
前記データを制御部に送信する工程と、
前記制御部から制御信号を生成する工程と、
前記患者に連結された装置に前記制御信号を送信する工程とを含むことを特徴とする方法。 - 前記デバイスは、上矢状静脈洞または分岐皮質静脈のいずれかから選択される血管内に配置されることを特徴とする請求項20に記載の方法。
- 前記デバイスは、患者の視覚皮質に隣接して位置される血管内に配置されることを特徴とする請求項20に記載の方法。
- 前記血管は、直接的な筋肉刺激または記録のために筋肉内に位置されることを特徴とする請求項20に記載の方法。
- 前記血管は、刺激または記録のために末梢神経に隣接することを特徴とする請求項20に記載の方法。
- 前記血管は、交感神経または副交感神経に隣接していることを特徴とする請求項20に記載の方法。
- 前記デバイスからの信号は、支持構造体の外面上に配置された電極を通って進み、前記信号はさらに、前記電極から前記支持構造体のストラットを通って、また前記支持構造体に連結されるリード線を通って、前記制御部に進むことを特徴とする請求項20に記載の方法。
- 動物またはヒトに連結された装置を制御するためのシステムであって、
前記動物またはヒトの血管内に配置され、その近位の媒体の活動を刺激および検知のうちの少なくともいずれか一方をするように構成されるデバイスと、
前記デバイスと通信するように構成される制御部とを備え、同制御部が、
(i)前記デバイスの近位の媒体の活動を表すデータを前記デバイスから受信し、
(ii)制御信号を生成し、
(iii)同制御信号を前記装置に送信するように構成されることを特徴とするシステム。 - 前記医療デバイスが、請求項4乃至19のうちのいずれか一項に記載の医療デバイスを含むことを特徴とする請求項27に記載のシステム。
- 前記医療デバイスが、
前記血管への挿入のための折り畳まれた使用状態と、前記血管の壁に対して弾性的に支持される拡張された使用状態との間で移動可能なステントと、
同ステント上の1つ以上の電極とを含み、同電極は、前記デバイスの近位の媒体の活動を刺激および検知のうちの少なくともいずれか一方をするように構成され、前記媒体は、組織および流体のうちの少なくともいずれか一方を含むことを特徴とする請求項27に記載のシステム。 - 前記制御部は、前記動物またはヒトの皮膚の下に挿入されるように構成されていることを特徴とする請求項27に記載のシステム。
- 前記装置は、
外骨格と、
義足と、
車いすと、
コンピュータと、
電気的または電気機械的デバイスとのうち少なくとも1つ以上を含むことを特徴とする請求項27に記載のシステム。 - 前記デバイスと前記制御部との間でデータを送信する通信コンジットをさらに備えることを特徴とする請求項27に記載のシステム。
- 前記制御部は、デバイス制御信号を生成するとともに前記デバイスが前記媒体を刺激可能なように前記デバイス制御信号を前記デバイスに送信するようにさらに構成されることを特徴とする請求項27に記載のシステム。
- 前記制御部は、少なくとも2つの部分に形成されたハウジングを含むことを特徴とする請求項27に記載のシステム。
- 前記ハウジングの前記少なくとも2つの部分は、
磁気的に固定され、
ピンを用いて整列され、
水の浸入を防止するためのガスケットを含むことを特徴とする請求項34に記載のシステム。
