Abstract
Description
本出願は、2017年3月27日に出願された米国仮出願第62/477,404号および2017年10月20日に出願された米国仮出願第62/575,354号に対する優先権を主張し、両方の出願をその全体に組み入れる。
本出願は、中心窩ディスプレイと呼ばれる操作可能な中心窩ディスプレイ装置を開示している。一実施形態における中心窩ディスプレイは、ユーザーの中心窩が位置する高解像度領域を提供するように配置される。「中心窩」は、視力が最も高い眼の網膜の小さなくぼみである。図1Aは、眼を説明する図であり、網膜と中心窩が示されている。視野の中心は、網膜錐状体が特に集中しているこの領域に焦点が合わせられる。中心窩の中心は、最大分解能を有する網膜の領域であるが、2度程度の視野を有している。最大分解能を有する中心窩領域から最小分解能を有する遠周辺領域までの視力の領域を図1Bに示す。眼の分解能は、中心窩の中心から20度以上離れると、ほぼ一桁低下する。図1Cは、中心窩の中心からの距離(偏心)に基づく感度(スネレン比)の低下を示している。
Claims (20)
- ハイブリッドディスプレイシステムであって、
少なくとも40度の単眼視野を有するフィールドディスプレイと、
少なくとも1度の単眼視野を有し、少なくとも20度に及ぶ走査可能な視野内に位置決めされる中心窩ディスプレイであって、前記中心窩ディスプレイは、前記フィールドディスプレイの前記視野内でユーザーに対して位置決めされ、それにより前記フィールドディスプレイと前記中心窩ディスプレイのそれぞれからのイメージデータを含むハイブリッドディスプレイを提示する前記中心窩ディスプレイと を備えるハイブリッドディスプレイシステム。 - 請求項1に記載のハイブリッドディスプレイシステムであって、さらに以下を備えるハイブリッドディスプレイシステム。
ここで、前記中心窩ディスプレイは、ウェアラブルディスプレイの中心窩ディスプレイに実装されている。 - 中心窩位置検証器をさらに備え、前記中心窩ディスプレイの実際の位置を確認し、実際の位置が意図した位置でない場合に中心窩ディスプレイイメージデータを調整する、請求項1に記載のハイブリッドディスプレイシステム。

- ユーザーの眼の位置と向きを追跡する視線追跡装置と、
眼球運動タイプを識別するための眼球運動分類器とをさらに備え、前記眼球運動分類は、前記中心窩ディスプレイを予測的に位置決めするための予測の提供に使用される、請求項3に記載のハイブリッドディスプレイシステム。 -

- 前記フィールドディスプレイは外部ディスプレイであって、
前記中心窩ディスプレイと前記フィールドディスプレイとの間でディスプレイを同期する同期ロジックをさらに備える、請求項1に記載のハイブリッドディスプレイシステム。 - 前記中心窩ディスプレイの位置決め素子をさらに備え、前記操作可能な中心窩ディスプレイの移動を可能にする、請求項1に記載のハイブリッドディスプレイシステム。
- 前記位置決め可能な素子は、調整可能なミラー、チューナブルプリズム、音響光学変調器、調整可能なディスプレイパネル、曲面ミラー、回折素子、およびフレネル反射器のうち1つまたは複数を含む、 請求項10に記載のハイブリッドディスプレイシステム。
