Description
Claims (15)
- 各ノズルが、作動値を有する対応する作動信号に応答して液滴を噴射するノズルのアレイと、
各ノズルに対して選択値又は非選択値を有するノズル選択信号を提供するためのノズル選択ロジックと、
各ノズルに対してそれぞれの前記作動信号を提供するための作動ロジックであって、
1以上の液滴重量信号を受信し、
前記選択値を有する各ノズル選択信号に対して、前記1以上の液滴重量信号の状態に基づいて、前記対応するノズル及び/又は1以上の隣接ノズルに作動値を有する作動信号を提供する、作動ロジックと
を含む、流体ダイ。 - 前記ノズルのアレイの前記ノズルは、列を成すように配置され、前記隣接ノズルは、前記対応するノズルに隣接するノズルを含む、請求項1に記載の流体ダイ。
- 前記ノズルのアレイの各ノズルは、同じ液滴重量の液滴を噴射する、請求項1に記載の流体ダイ。
- 前記対応するノズル及び前記1以上の隣接ノズルは、前記対応するノズル及び前記1以上の隣接ノズルにより噴射された液滴が合併してより大きい液滴の作用を有するように相対的に配置される、請求項1に記載の流体ダイ。
- 前記ノズル選択ロジックは、
作動データを受け取り、前記作動データが、作動データビットを含み、各作動データビットが、前記ノズルのうちの異なる1つに対応しており、かつ、作動値又は非作動値を有しており、各ノズルが、イネーブル値又は非イネーブル値を有する対応するアドレスデータをさらに有し、
前記対応する作動データビットが前記作動値を有し、かつ、前記対応するアドレスデータが前記イネーブル値を有している場合、各ノズルに対して、前記選択値を有するノズル選択信号を提供する、請求項1に記載の流体ダイ。 - 前記アレイの前記ノズルは、プリミティブを形成するように配置されている、請求項1に記載の流体ダイ。
- 前記流体ダイは、プリントヘッドを含む、請求項1に記載の流体ダイ。
- 作動データビット及び液滴重量信号データを含む作動データを提供するコントローラと、
流体ダイとを含み、
前記流体ダイが、
各ノズルが、作動値を有する対応する作動信号に応答して液滴を噴射するノズルのアレイと、
前記作動データビットを受け取るノズル選択ロジックであって、1つの作動データビットが、各ノズルに対応し、かつ、作動値及び非作動値を有し、さらに、イネーブル値又は非イネーブル値を有する各ノズルについてアドレスデータに対応するアドレスデータを有しており、前記ノズル選択ロジックは、前記対応する作動データビットが前記作動値を有し、かつ、前記対応するアドレスデータが前記イネーブル値を有する場合、各ノズルに対して、選択値を有するノズル選択信号を提供する、ノズル選択ロジックと、
各液滴重量信号が前記液滴重量データに基づく状態を有する1以上の液滴重量信号を提供する液滴重量信号発生器と、
各ノズルに対してそれぞれの前記作動信号を提供するための作動ロジックであって、前記選択値を有する各ノズル選択信号に対して、前記1以上の液滴重量信号の状態に基づいて、前記対応するノズル及び/又は1以上の隣接ノズルに作動値を有する作動信号を提供する、作動ロジックと
を含む、流体噴射システム。 - 前記ノズルのアレイの前記ノズルは、列を成すように配置され、前記隣接ノズルは、前記対応するノズルに隣接するノズルを含む、請求項8に記載の流体噴射システム。
- 前記ノズルのアレイの各ノズルは、同じ液滴重量の液滴を噴射する、請求項8に記載の流体噴射システム。
- 前記対応するノズル及び前記1以上の隣接ノズルは、前記対応するノズル及び前記1以上の隣接ノズルにより噴射された液滴が合併してより大きい液滴の作用を有するように相対的に配置される、請求項1に記載の流体ダイ。
- ノズルのアレイを含む流体ダイを動作させる方法であって、各ノズルが、作動値を有する対応する作動信号に応答して液滴を噴射するものにおいて、
各ノズルに対してノズル選択信号を提供し、各ノズル選択信号が選択値又は非選択値の何れかを有し、選択値が、液滴を噴射するための対応するノズルの選択を示し、
各液滴重量信号が状態を有する1以上の液滴重量信号を提供し、
選択値を有する各ノズル選択信号に対して、前記1以上の液滴重量信号の状態に基づいて、前記対応するノズル及び/又は1以上の隣接ノズルに作動値を有する作動を提供すること
を含む方法。 - 前記アレイの各ノズルから同じ液滴重量の液滴を噴射することを含む、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記アレイの前記ノズルを、前記対応するノズル及び/又は1以上の隣接ノズルにより噴射された液滴が合併して単一のより大きい液滴の作用を有するように、相対的に配置することを含む、請求項12に記載の方法。
- 前記1以上の液滴重量の状態を変更することにより、前記対応するノズル及び前記隣接ノズルの中から、前記作動値を有する作動信号が提供されることになる複数のノズルを選択し、それによって、選択値を有する各ノズル選択信号に対して噴射される流体の有効液滴重量を選択すること
を含む、請求項12に記載の方法。
