Description

The present invention relates to a writing instrument such as a ballpoint pen or felt-tip pen in which a writing portion protruding from the front end of a barrel is brought into contact with a paper surface or the like for writing.

Conventionally, in this type of invention, for example, as described in Patent Document 1, a knock body capable of knocking can be operated in the shaft cylinder, and a front end cam slope of the knock body, a cam slope on the inner surface of the shaft cylinder, and the like are involved. The knock body is knocked with a rotor that rotates when the rotor is fitted, a return spring that urges the rotor rearward, and a refill in which the rear end is fitted in the rotor. As a result, the rotor is advanced in the axial direction and then rotated to be in the locked state, and the knock body is knocked again to release the locked state and move the rotor in the axial direction. There is a haunting ball pen that is designed to be retracted. According to such a ballpoint pen, writing is performed by pressing the ballpoint pen tip at the front end of the refill against a paper surface or the like. At this time, the front end side of the refill is maintained substantially linearly without becoming large, although some bending occurs. Therefore, with such a conventional ballpoint pen, a hard brush feeling can be obtained.
On the other hand, as another invention, there is a writing instrument in which the front end side of the barrel is flexibly bent (see Patent Document 2). With such a writing instrument, when the pen tip is pressed against a paper surface or the like, the front end side of the barrel is flexibly deformed, so that a brush-like feeling can be obtained.

In the present specification, the axial direction means the direction in which the center line of the shaft cylinder 10 extends. Further, "front" means one side in the axial direction and the tip direction of the writing core. Further, "rear" means a side in the opposite direction to the one side.

The writing instrument 1 is embedded in the shaft cylinder 10 and the writing core 20 housed in the shaft cylinder 10 and having the writing portion 21 on the front end side protruding from the front end of the shaft cylinder 10 so as to be able to move forward and backward. A tubular slider 30 inserted with the writing core 20 protruding from the front end portion, a first urging member 40 for urging the slider 30 rearward with respect to the shaft cylinder 10, and a writing core 20 of the slider 30. It is provided with a haunting operation mechanism 50 that haunts from the front end.
The writing instrument 1 has a fixed support state in which the writing core 20 is supported so as not to tilt (see FIGS. 1 (a) and 5) and a tiltable support state in which the writing core 20 is supported so as to tilt. It is configured to switch between (see FIGS. 1 (c) and 6).

The axle cylinder 10 includes a tubular rear shaft portion 11 and a rotating shaft portion 12 rotatably connected to the front side of the rear shaft portion 11, and the slider 30 is advanced or retracted by the rotation of the rotating shaft portion 12.
The contact support portion 11c is a cylindrical inner surface whose diameter is reduced from the front and rear portions thereof. The dimension L from the front end of the writing core 20 to the front end of the contact support portion 11c is set within the range of 10 to 50 mm, and is set to about 32 mm in a preferable example of the present embodiment.
When the dimension L is smaller than the above range, the fulcrum when the front end side of the writing core 20 is bent due to the writing pressure is too close to the front side. Further, when the dimension L is larger than the above range, the fulcrum when the front end side of the writing core 20 is bent due to the writing pressure is too close to the rear side. Therefore, in any case, good bending cannot be obtained. Therefore, in a preferred example of this embodiment, the dimension L is set within the above range.

Further, the slider 30 is integrally composed of two members, a slider main body 31 and a receiving portion 32 connected to the rear side of the slider main body 31, and is moved forward by a predetermined operation (FIGS. 1A). b) and FIG. 5) and the retracted position (see FIGS. 1 (c) and 6) are configured to move forward and backward.
The slider main body 31 and the receiving portion 32 can be a single member integrally formed.

On the outer peripheral surface of the slider main body 31, a cam slope 31a whose diameter gradually decreases toward the rear, a small diameter portion 31b connected to the rear end of the cam slope 31a and extended rearward, and the small diameter portion 31b. A large diameter portion 31c connected to the rear side is provided.
Further, the inner peripheral surface of the slider main body 31 on the front end side is in contact with the outer peripheral surface of the writing portion 21 when protruding, and supports the writing portion 21 with respect to the slider main body 31 so as not to move in the radial direction. A cylindrical contact support surface 31d is provided.

When a radial force component is applied to the slider 30, the cam slope 31a slides in contact with the sliding contact portion 12a11 on the barrel 10 side and functions as a motion direction changing means for moving the slider 30 forward while tilting the slider 30.

When the slider 30 is in the retracted position, the small diameter portion 31b provides a gap s between the slider 30 and the annular engaging portion 12a1 on the barrel 10 side to support the slider 30 in a tiltable manner (tiltable support state). Secure (see FIGS. 6 (a) and 6 (b)).

When the slider 30 is in the forward position, the large diameter portion 31c fits into the annular engaging portion 12a1 on the barrel 10 side to support the slider 30 so as not to tilt (see FIG. 5). ).

Further, the receiving portion 32 is formed in a substantially cylindrical shape having small diameter portions on the front end side and the rear end side, and receives the rear end portion of the first urging member 40 and is urged rearward. The receiving portion 32 has a small diameter portion on the rear end side fitted to the front end side of the support shaft 11b in a state of having play. A guided convex portion 32a is provided on the front side of the small diameter portion.

The guided convex portion 32a is a ridge that projects outward in the radial direction from the outer peripheral surface of the maximum diameter portion on the central side in the front-rear direction of the receiving portion 32 and extends rearward. The rearmost end of the guided convex portion 32a is formed in a semicircular cross section that fits into the front concave portion 11b11 and the rear concave portion 11b12 of the rear shaft portion 11 (see FIG. 4).
A plurality of the convex portions 32a to be guided (two at equal intervals according to the illustrated example) are provided at intervals in the circumferential direction so as to correspond to the plurality of guide grooves 12a3 on the barrel 10 side.

Further, the first urging member 40 is a compression coil spring according to the illustrated example, and is annularly mounted on a small diameter portion on the front end side of the receiving portion 32 to urge the slider 30 rearward with respect to the rotating shaft portion 12. ing.

The spring load of the first urging member 40 is 40 to 50 gf in a state where the amount of deflection of the spring (≈ the amount of movement of the slider 30) is limited to about 0.3 mm depending on the length and angle of the cam slope 31a. It is designed to be within the range of.
If the spring load is smaller than the above range, the front end side of the writing core 20 will be bent by an unintended small writing pressure. Further, when the spring load is larger than the above range, the writing pressure for bending the front end side of the writing core 20 becomes remarkably large. Therefore, in a preferred example of this embodiment, the spring load of the first urging member 40 is set as described above.

Further, the haunting operation mechanism 50 includes a connected member 51 to which the rear end side of the writing core 20 is connected, and a second urging member 52 that urges the connected member 51 rearward with respect to the barrel 10. A support rotor 53 that supports the connected member 51 so as to be able to move back and forth from its rear side and moves back and forth by a predetermined operation, and a third urging member that repels between the connected member 51 and the support rotor 53. It includes 55 and a knock portion 54 that advances by an external force and pushes the support rotor 53.
The haunting operation mechanism 50 is in any of the above-mentioned fixed support states (see FIGS. 1 (a), (b) and 5) and the tiltable support state (see FIGS. 1 (c) and 6). The writing core 20 functions to appear and disappear from the front end of the slider 30.

The connected member 51 is a small-diameter cylindrical fitting support portion 51a that is press-fitted from the rear side into the writing core 20 (specifically, the rear end portion of the ink storage tube 22), and the fitting support portion 51a at the rear end side. A flange portion 51b that annularly protrudes outward in the radial direction, a tubular portion 51c that extends rearward from the flange portion 51b in a substantially cylindrical shape, and a concave-convex shape with respect to the support rotor 53 on the rear end side of the tubular portion 51c. It has a loose fitting portion 51d that loosely fits into the (see FIG. 7).

More specifically, the free fitting portion 51d is formed by an annular recess 51d1 provided on the outer peripheral surface on the rear end side of the tubular portion 51c and an annular convex portion 51d2 protruding radially outward on the rear side of the annular recess 51d1. It is configured, inserted into the front end side of the support rotor 53, which will be described later, and fitted in a state of having play (see FIG. 7).

The third urging member 55 is a compression coil spring that is annularly mounted on the tubular portion 51c of the connected member 51. The third urging member 55 is compressed and deformed by abutting its front end portion on the flange portion 51b of the connected member 51 and abutting the rear end portion on the front end of the support rotor 53.
The third urging member 55 gives resistance to the retreat when the writing core 20 and the connected member 51 retreat due to a rearward force component, and when the rearward force component is removed, the third urging member 55 gives resistance to the retreat. The writing core 20 and the connected member 51 are repelled and advanced to their original positions.

The support rotor 53 is a substantially cylindrical member extending in the front-rear direction, and has a loose-fitting portion 53a for connecting the loose-fitting portion 51d of the connected member 51 on the inner surface of the peripheral wall on the front end side thereof (see FIG. 7). .. A plurality of the loosely fitted portions 53a are provided in the circumferential direction (two at equal intervals according to the illustrated example).
Each loosely fitted portion 53a is fitted with a convex portion 53a1 that fits with the annular concave portion 51d1 on the front side of the loose fitting portion 51d with play, and with a play on the annular convex portion 51d2 on the rear side of the loose fitting portion 51d. It is composed of a matching recess 53a2 (through hole according to the illustrated example).

Further, a plurality of ridges 53b having an inclined surface portion 53b1 at the rear end are provided on the rear side of the idle fitting portion 53a of the support rotor 53 at intervals in the circumferential direction. The rear end side of the support rotor 53 is inserted into the knock portion 54.
The knock portion 54 is a bottomed tubular member having a closed rear end portion, the front end portion thereof is provided with a cam slope 54a that can move forward and backward and cannot rotate, and a vertical groove 11a2 on the inner peripheral surface of the rear shaft portion 11 is provided on the outer peripheral portion. It has a ridge 54b that fits into and can move forward and backward.
With these configurations, a mechanism for advancing and rotating the support rotor 53 to lock it, or releasing the locked state to retract the support rotor 53 is described in, for example, Japanese Patent Application Laid-Open No. 2004-209881. It is possible to apply the described invention.

Next, the characteristic action and effect of the writing instrument 1 having the above configuration will be described in detail.
FIG. 1A shows a state in which the writing portion 21 is immersed in the barrel 10 with the slider 30 in the forward position. Although not shown, the writing unit 21 can be immersed in the shaft cylinder 10 even when the slider 30 is in the retracted position.

When the knock portion 54 is pushed forward in the immersed state, the writing portion 21 is locked in a state of protruding from the front end of the barrel 10 by the action of the support rotor 53, the fixed cam slope 11a3, the cam slope 54a, and the like. (See FIG. 1 (b)).

In this way, when the slider 30 is in the forward position and the writing portion 21 is projected, the large diameter portion 31c of the slider 30 is attached to the annular engaging portion 12a1 on the barrel 10 side, as enlarged in FIG. Fit together. In this state, since the writing core 20 is in contact with the contact support surface 31d of the slider main body 31, the writing core 20 is held in a fixed support state in which it does not tilt.
According to this fixed support state, a writer who holds and writes a writing instrument 1 can obtain a hard writing feeling similar to that of a normal writing instrument.

Further, in the fixed support state, the writing instrument 1 shifts the writing core 20 when the rotating shaft portion 12 is rotated as shown in FIGS. 3 (a) and 3 (b) and 4 (a) to 4 (c). It becomes a tiltable support state that supports it in a tiltable manner.
More specifically, in the fixed support state, as shown in FIG. 4A, the guided convex portion 32a of the slider 30 fits into the front concave portion 11b11 of the cam portion 11b1 in the rear shaft portion 11.
In this state, if the rotating shaft portion 12 is rotated in a predetermined direction with respect to the rear shaft portion 11, the guided convex portion 32a comes out of the front concave portion 11b11 and slides the inclined surface portion 11b13 diagonally backward in the circumferential direction (FIG. 4 (b)).
When the rotating shaft portion 12 is further rotated in the predetermined direction, as shown in FIG. 4C, the guided convex portion 32a fits into the rear concave portion 11b12 and is held in the tiltable support state.

In this tiltable support state, as shown in FIGS. 6A and 6B, in the radial direction of the slider 30 between the annular engaging portion 12a1 of the rotating shaft main body 12a and the small diameter portion 31b of the slider main body 31. A gap s is secured that enables fine movement of the.

Therefore, in this tiltable support state, when the writing portion 21 is pressed against the writing surface A and a radial force is applied to the writing portion 21, this radial force is applied to the slider main body via the contact support surface 31d. Transmitted to the portion 31, the slider 30 slides the cam slope 31a against the sliding contact portion 12a11 and tilts while advancing with respect to the barrel 10 (see FIG. 6B).

When the writing core 20 is tilted toward the front end side as described above, the outer peripheral portion of the writing core 20 comes into contact with the contact support portion 11c, and the degree of bending thereof is appropriately regulated.
Therefore, a writer who writes by holding the writing instrument 1 can obtain a unique writing feeling like a brush in which the pen tip is tilted flexibly.

Further, when a relatively strong backward force is applied to the writing core 20, the writing core 20 and the connected member 51 retreat slightly against the elastic force of the third urging member 55.
For this reason, for example, when the writing pressure suddenly increases during writing, or when the writing pressure of the writer is originally strong, a minute impact applied to the writing core 20 due to the writing is applied. It can be absorbed by the urging force of the urging member 55 of the third, and a good writing feeling can be given to the writer.

In order to return the tiltable support state to the fixed support state, the rotary shaft portion 12 is rotated in the opposite direction to advance the slider 30, and the large diameter portion 31c of the slider main body portion 31 is engaged with the annular engaging portion 12a1. It may be fitted to (see FIG. 5).

Further, in order to immerse the writing portion 21 in the protruding state into the barrel 10, the knock portion 54 may be knocked again.

In the above embodiment, as a particularly preferable embodiment, the cam slope 31a for tilting the writing core 20 is provided on the slider 30 side, and the sliding contact portion 12a11 in sliding contact with the cam slope 31a is provided on the barrel 10 side. As another example, it is also possible to provide the cam slope on the barrel side and provide the sliding contact portion that is in sliding contact with the cam slope on the slider side.

Further, in the above embodiment, as a particularly preferable embodiment, the connected member 51 is connected to the support rotor 53 so as to slightly move back and forth, but as another example, the connected member 51 is omitted and the writing core 20 is directly connected. It is also possible to use a mode connected to the support rotor 53.

Further, although the above embodiment constitutes a ballpoint pen as a preferable example of the present invention, the present invention can also constitute a writing tool other than a ballpoint pen, such as a felt-tip pen, a felt-tip pen, a marker pen, and a brush pen.

Further, the present invention is not limited to the above-described embodiment, and can be appropriately changed without changing the gist of the present invention.
