Abstract
Description
The present disclosure relates to a metal pipe, and more particularly to a metal pipe to be subjected to drawing processing and a method for manufacturing the same, and a method for manufacturing a new metal pipe using the metal pipe as a material.
In some metal tube manufacturing processes, drawing may be performed. That is, after the raw pipe is hot-formed by the Mannesmann pipe manufacturing method, the Eugene Segerne pipe manufacturing method, or the like, the raw pipe is adjusted to the size of the final product by cold drawing.
In the drawing process, a metal tube (mouth drawn metal tube) that has been subjected to mouth drawing is passed through a die, and a small diameter pipe end is gripped by a gripper. In this state, move the gripper relatively away from the die and pull out the mouth squeezing metal tube from the die. As a result, the outer diameter of the pipe body is reduced and adjusted to the outer diameter of the final product. To adjust the wall thickness of the tube body, insert the plug and mandrel into the metal tube passed through the die.
When performing the drawing process, the gripper may slip in the axial direction with respect to the pipe end of the mouth drawing metal pipe. This causes wear and tear on the gripper teeth. If this wear or chip progresses and the gripper's teeth become dull, the gripper will not be able to grip the tube end and will reach the end of its life. If the gripper and the pipe end frequently slip, the gripper's teeth become dull with a small number of pulling outs, and the life of the gripper is shortened.
For example, Patent Document 1 discloses a technique for preventing slippage between a gripper and a pipe end portion. In Patent Document 1, a flange-shaped convex portion is provided at the end of the mouth-throttled metal tube. According to Patent Document 1, the flange-shaped convex portion can reduce grip mistakes due to slippage between the gripper and the pipe end portion. Further, according to Patent Document 1, it is not necessary to give the pipe end an extra length so that a grip error does not occur even if the gripper slips on the pipe end.
In Patent Document 1, the flange-shaped convex portion provided at the pipe end portion of the mouth-throttle metal pipe can reduce the slip of the gripper with respect to the pipe end portion. However, in Patent Document 1, it is necessary to form a convex portion at the end of the pipe in a process different from the mouth drawing process. Therefore, the number of steps increases in the metal tube manufacturing process. Further, in Patent Document 1, the required length of the mouth drawing process changes depending on the height of the convex portion. That is, it is necessary to determine the length of the pipe end portion to be reduced in diameter in consideration of the height of the convex portion.
An object of the present disclosure is to reduce slippage of a gripper with respect to a pipe end portion during a drawing process of a metal tube, and to more easily manufacture a metal tube to be subjected to the drawing process.
The metal pipe according to the present disclosure is subjected to drawing processing. The metal pipe includes a pipe body, a pipe end portion, and a tapered portion. The pipe end has an outer diameter smaller than the outer diameter of the pipe body. The tapered portion connects the pipe body and the pipe end. The diameter of the tapered portion is reduced toward the end of the pipe. The end of the pipe has a groove. The groove is formed on the outer surface of the pipe end. The groove extends in the circumferential direction of the metal tube. The groove is arranged at a distance of 0.14 times or more the outer diameter of the pipe end portion in the axial direction of the metal pipe from the base end of the pipe end portion.
According to the present disclosure, it is possible to reduce the slippage of the gripper with respect to the pipe end portion during the drawing process of the metal tube, and it is possible to more easily manufacture the metal tube to be subjected to the drawing process.
The metal tube according to the embodiment is subjected to drawing processing. The groove is arranged at a distance of 0.14 times or more the outer diameter of the pipe end portion in the axial direction of the metal pipe from the base end of the pipe end portion (first configuration).
The metal pipe according to the first configuration has a groove extending in the circumferential direction on the outer surface of the pipe end portion having a small diameter. Therefore, when the gripper grips the pipe end portion during the drawing process of the metal pipe, the teeth of the gripper are caught in the groove, and the movement of the gripper in the axial direction of the metal pipe is restricted. Therefore, the slip of the gripper with respect to the pipe end can be reduced. As a result, the dullness of the gripper's teeth is suppressed, and the life of the gripper can be extended.
In the metal pipe used for the drawing process, the outer diameter changes relatively rapidly at the boundary between the pipe end portion and the tapered portion, that is, at the base end of the pipe end portion. Therefore, during the drawing process, the tensile stress in the axial direction becomes large at the base end of the pipe end portion on the outer surface side of the metal pipe. Therefore, in the first configuration, a groove for restricting the movement of the gripper is provided at a position separated from the base end of the pipe end portion by a predetermined distance or more. As a result, the groove does not overlap the base end of the pipe end portion, and stress concentration at the base end can be suppressed. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the pipe end portion from breaking from the base end during the drawing process.
The length of the small diameter tube end does not need to be adjusted according to the groove that regulates the movement of the gripper. Therefore, the metal pipe according to the first configuration can be easily manufactured without complicating the manufacturing process.
The pipe end may have a plurality of the above grooves. These grooves are preferably arranged in parallel on the outer surface of the pipe end (second configuration).
According to the second configuration, a plurality of grooves extending in the circumferential direction are formed on the outer surface of the pipe end portion. As a result, the movement of the gripper teeth during the drawing process can be more reliably regulated. Therefore, the slip of the gripper with respect to the pipe end can be further reduced.
The metal pipe may be a duplex stainless steel pipe. This two-phase stainless steel pipe has C: 0.008 to 0.03%, Si: 0 to 1%, Mn: 0.1 to 2%, Cr: 20 to 35%, Ni: 3 to 10% in mass%. %, Mo: 0 to 5%, W: 0 to 6%, Cu: 0 to 3%, and N: 0.15 to 0.40%, and the balance has a chemical composition consisting of Fe and impurities. Can be (third configuration).
The manufacturing method according to the embodiment is a manufacturing method of a metal pipe to be subjected to a drawing process. The manufacturing method includes steps a), b), and c). In step a), a metal tube is prepared. In step b), the tube end portion of the raw tube is heated to a temperature lower than the σ phase precipitation temperature range of the metal. In step c), the heated pipe end is pressurized from the outer peripheral side to reduce the diameter of the pipe end and form a groove extending in the circumferential direction of the raw pipe on the outer surface of the pipe end. In step c), a groove is formed at a position separated from the base end of the pipe end portion by 0.14 times or more the outer diameter of the pipe end portion after the diameter reduction in the axial direction of the raw pipe (fourth configuration).
In the manufacturing method according to the fourth configuration, when the pipe end portion of the raw pipe is pressurized to reduce the diameter in step c), a groove extending in the circumferential direction is provided to the outer surface of the pipe end portion. When the metal pipe manufactured by this manufacturing method is subjected to the drawing process, the gripper teeth are caught in the groove at the end of the pipe, and the movement of the gripper in the axial direction of the metal pipe is restricted. Therefore, the slip of the gripper with respect to the pipe end can be reduced. As a result, the dullness of the gripper's teeth is suppressed, and the life of the gripper can be extended.
In the fourth configuration, the groove for restricting the movement of the gripper is provided at a position separated from the base end of the reduced diameter pipe end by a predetermined distance or more. Therefore, the groove does not overlap the base end of the pipe end portion, and stress concentration at the base end of the pipe end portion can be suppressed. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the pipe end portion from breaking from the base end during the drawing process.
In the fourth configuration, in step c), the diameter of the pipe end portion is reduced, and at the same time, a groove is formed on the outer surface thereof. That is, since the groove for restricting the movement of the gripper can be formed in the mouth drawing process c), it is not necessary to separately provide a step for forming the groove. Therefore, according to the fourth configuration, the metal pipe to be subjected to the drawing process can be easily manufactured.
According to the fourth configuration, in the step b), the tube end is heated to a temperature lower than the σ phase precipitation temperature range of the metal constituting the raw tube. Therefore, the σ phase does not precipitate in the raw tube. Therefore, the heat treatment for erasing the σ phase can be omitted for the metal tube manufactured from this raw tube.
In step c), a plurality of the above grooves may be formed in parallel on the outer surface of the pipe end portion (fifth configuration).
According to the fifth configuration, a plurality of grooves extending in the circumferential direction are formed on the outer surface of the pipe end portion. As a result, the movement of the gripper teeth during the drawing process can be more reliably regulated. Therefore, the slip of the gripper with respect to the pipe end can be further reduced.
The raw pipe may be a duplex stainless steel pipe. This two-phase stainless steel pipe has C: 0.008 to 0.03%, Si: 0 to 1%, Mn: 0.1 to 2%, Cr: 20 to 35%, Ni: 3 to 10% in mass%. %, Mo: 0 to 5%, W: 0 to 6%, Cu: 0 to 3%, and N: 0.15 to 0.40%, and the balance has a chemical composition consisting of Fe and impurities. be able to. In this case, in step b), the end of the pipe is heated to a temperature of 560 ° C. or higher and 730 ° C. or lower (sixth configuration).
In duplex stainless steel, the σ phase is precipitated in a temperature range lower than the normal hot temperature range. Therefore, when the raw pipe to be subjected to the mouth drawing process is a duplex stainless steel pipe, the pipe end portion may be heated to a temperature lower than usual for the purpose of suppressing the precipitation of the σ phase. For example, in a general mouth drawing process, the pipe end is heated to about 1200 ° C., whereas in the case of a duplex stainless steel pipe, the pipe end is heated to about 700 ° C. However, if the diameter of the pipe end is reduced while the temperature of the pipe end is low, work hardening occurs, the hardness of the pipe end increases, and the ductility of the pipe end decreases. When the hardness of the pipe end portion is high, it becomes difficult for the gripper to bite into the pipe end portion, and the gripper slips with respect to the pipe end portion during the drawing process. If the ductility of the pipe end is low, the pipe end may break from the base end during drawing.
On the other hand, according to the sixth configuration, even if the raw pipe is a duplex stainless steel pipe, slipping of the gripper and breakage of the pipe end portion during the drawing process can be suppressed. That is, in the sixth configuration, since the tube end portion of the duplex stainless steel pipe is reduced in diameter at a relatively low temperature, work hardening may occur. However, since the gripper teeth can be hooked in the groove at the end of the pipe during the drawing process, the gripper's slippage is suppressed. Further, since no groove is formed at the base end of the pipe end and the vicinity thereof, and the stress does not increase at the base end of the pipe end during the drawing process, the breakage of the pipe end can be suppressed.
In the sixth configuration, the tube end of the duplex stainless steel tube is heated to a temperature of 560 ° C or higher and 730 ° C or lower. This temperature is lower than the σ-phase precipitation temperature range of the duplex stainless steel having the above chemical composition. Therefore, it is possible to manufacture a metal tube to be subjected to drawing processing without substantially precipitating the σ phase.
The method for manufacturing a metal pipe according to the embodiment includes a step of preparing a metal pipe having any of the first to third configurations, and a gripper having the metal pipe passed through a die and having a plurality of teeth on the inner surface at the end of the pipe. The step of pulling out the metal tube from the die is provided (seventh configuration).
In the seventh configuration, the metal pipe is drawn. The metal pipe as a material for the drawing process has a groove extending in the circumferential direction on the outer surface of the pipe end portion. Since the gripper teeth can be hooked in this groove, it is possible to reduce the slippage of the gripper in the axial direction of the metal pipe with respect to the pipe end portion.

In step b), the

Step c)
In step c), the
First, the
As shown in FIG. 3B, the
As shown in FIG. 3C, each of the dies 31 has a
A plurality of
On the
Subsequently, the operation of the
In step c), when the material of the
With reference to FIG. 3D, in step c), the
After the
The
The

[Manufacturing method of metal pipe]
Next, a method of manufacturing a new metal tube using the
The
During the drawing process, the
In FIG. 5, the vertical cross section of the

[Effect of Embodiment]
In the present embodiment, a
In the present embodiment, a plurality of
In the present embodiment, the
In the present embodiment, in the mouth drawing process c), the
In the present embodiment, when the mouth drawing
In the present embodiment, the
When the
In step c), when the
Although the embodiment according to the present disclosure has been described above, the present disclosure is not limited to the above embodiment, and various changes can be made as long as the purpose is not deviated.
Hereinafter, the present disclosure will be described in more detail by way of examples. However, the present disclosure is not limited to the following examples.
[First Example]
Numerical analysis by the finite element method (FEM) was performed to verify the proper position of the groove to reduce gripper slippage. In the FEM analysis, an analysis model having the same shape as the mouth drawing
The analysis model was a 1/16 model in the circumferential direction in consideration of symmetry. In this analysis model, a pull-out load of 350 tons (t) is applied to the tip of the
As shown in Table 1, the distance L [mm] from the base end b13 of the
As can be seen from Table 1 and FIG. 6, when L / d13 is 0.14 or more, the maximum tensile stress is less than the tensile strength of the
From this result, by setting the distance L from the base end b13 of the
[Second Example]
In order to confirm the effect of this disclosure, a pull-out test of a mouth-squeezed metal tube was conducted. That is, a plurality of types of mouth-squeezed metal pipes were prepared, and these metal pipes were drawn out with an actual drawing device to investigate the occurrence of breakage at the pipe end. We also investigated the number of metal pipes that can be pulled out for each type. Specifically, for each type of metal pipe, the drawing process is carried out until some problem occurs and the drawing test must be interrupted or stopped, and the number of drawing lines up to the point when the drawing becomes impossible is defined as the number of lifespans. did. Table 2 shows the conditions and results of the withdrawal test.
As shown in Table 2, the metal pipes used in the pull-out tests of Examples 2-1 and 2-2 have a
The metal pipe used in the withdrawal test of Comparative Example 2-1 has a
In Example 2-1 and Example 2-2, a pull-out test was carried out using a metal pipe having a
As described above, in Example 2-1 and Example 2-2 using a metal pipe having a
