Mはチタン、ジルコニウム及びハフニウムよりなる群から選択された遷移金属であり、
Bは炭素数1〜20のアルキレン基、炭素数6〜20のアリーレン基、炭素数1〜20のジアルキルシリコン、炭素数1〜20のジアルキルゲルマニウム、炭素数1〜20のアルキルホスフィン基または炭素数1〜20のアルキルアミン基の連結基であるか、連結基がない形態であり、
X1とX2は、互いに同一でも異なってもよく、それぞれ独立して、ハロゲン原子、炭素数1〜20のアルキル基、炭素数2〜20のアルケニル基、炭素数2〜20のアルキニル基、炭素数6〜20のアリール基、炭素数7〜40のアルキルアリール基、炭素数7〜40のアリールアルキル基、炭素数1〜20のアルキルアミド基、炭素数6〜20のアリールアミド基、炭素数1〜20のアルキリデン基または炭素数1〜20のアルコキシ基であり、
R1乃至R10は、互いに同一でも異なってもよく、それぞれ独立して、水素、炭素数1〜20のアルキル基、炭素数2〜20のアルケニル基、炭素数6〜20のアリール基、炭素数7〜20のアルキルアリール基、炭素数7〜20のアリールアルキル基、炭素数5〜60のシクロアルキル基、炭素数4〜20の複素環基、炭素数1〜20のアルキニル基、炭素数6〜20のアリール基が含まれているヘテロ基またはシリル基であってもよい。

下記表2を参照して、本発明の潤滑油組成物に使用される添加剤組成物を製造した。
液状オレフィン共重合体は、触媒反応工程を介してオリゴマー化法によって製造された。下記のとおり、反応時間/条件に応じて分子量別に分離して製造し、製造された液状オレフィン共重合体の物性を下記表3に示した。
ベースオイル、液状オレフィン共重合体、アルキル化ホスホニウム化合物、及び上記で製造された添加剤を下記表4及び表5のように混合して潤滑油組成物を製造した。このとき、ベースオイルとして、100℃での動粘度が4cStであるポリアルファオレフィン(Chevron Philips社製、PAO 4 cSt)を使用し、アルキル化ホスホニウム化合物として、テトラオクチル化ホスホニウムビスエチルヘキシルホスフェート(tetraoctylated phosphonium bis−ethylhexyl phosphate)を使用した。
Ball on disc modeで40〜120℃まで50Hzで10℃ずつ順次昇温しながら、各温度の平均摩擦係数を比較して摩擦性能を評価した。このとき、摩擦係数は、有効性が増加するほどその値が減少する。
PCS−instrument社製のMTM装備を用いて摩擦係数を測定した。この時、測定条件を50N、SRR 50%に固定した後、温度を変化させながら、摩擦係数(friction、traction)を観察した。温度を40〜120℃まで変化させながらその平均値を比較した。
4つのSteel ballを用いて、20kg Load、1200rpm、54℃の条件で60分潤滑油組成物を摩擦させて摩耗痕の大きさを比較し、ASTM D4172に準拠して評価を行った。この時、テストで摩耗痕(平均摩耗痕径、μm)の数値は、有効性が増加するほど減少する。
RBOT(Rotational Bomb Oxidation Test)測定装備を用いてASTM D2271に準拠して酸化安定性を測定した。
ギヤオイルリグテスト(rig test)であるFZG Gear Efficiency Testを行った。FZG Efficiency Testは、オイルの温度を100℃に固定し、負荷をかけない状態で、オイルに応じて定められたモーター駆動(motor drive)で回転させながらピニオントルク(pinion torque)を測定し、既存のオイルと、α−オレフィン共重合体及びアルキル化ホスホニウム(Alkylated phosphonium)化合物を用いたオイルとのピニオントルク(Pinion Torque)損失率を計算し、その相対値を比較した。
Claims (13)
- ベースオイル、液状オレフィン共重合体、及びアルキル化ホスホニウム化合物を含む潤滑油組成物。
- 前記液状オレフィン共重合体は、エチレン及びα−オレフィンをシングルサイト触媒システムの下で共重合させて製造されることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 前記シングルサイト触媒システムがメタロセン触媒、有機金属化合物及びイオン性化合物を含むことを特徴とする、請求項2に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 前記液状オレフィン共重合体は、熱膨張係数が3.0〜4.0であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 前記液状オレフィン共重合体は、臭素価(Bromine Number)が0.1以下であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 前記潤滑油組成物内の前記アルキル化ホスホニウム化合物が0.1〜5.0重量%含まれることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 前記潤滑油組成物内の前記液状オレフィン共重合体が0.1〜30重量%含まれることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 前記ベースオイルは、鉱油、ポリアルファオレフィン(PAO)またはエステルを含む基油よりなる群から選択された1種以上であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 前記潤滑油組成物は、酸化防止剤、金属洗浄剤、防食剤、泡沫抑制剤、流動点降下剤、粘度調整剤、耐磨耗剤及びこれらの組み合わせよりなる群から選択される添加剤をさらに含むことを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 前記潤滑油組成物は、SRV摩擦係数が0.2〜0.3であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 前記潤滑油組成物は、静止摩擦係数が0.15〜0.3であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 前記潤滑油組成物は、FZG Gear Efficiency Testにおける摩擦によるピニオントルク損失率が1%未満であることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
- 前記潤滑油組成物がギヤオイルとして用いられることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の潤滑油組成物。
