Abstract
Description
本構成を用いる事によって、複数のレーザ光源12(図11では2個の場合を示すが3個以上の構成でもよい)からレーザ光Lをそれぞれ第3ライトガイド52に入射、導光させ、波長変換部14からの光の均斉度を高く励起する事ができる。第3ライトガイド52の光導光部のサイズは開口部が例えば1×1mm、長さが例えば8mmであるが、本構成に限定されるものではない。
なお、灯具50の数は6つに限定される物ではなく、図18に示すように、適宜選択する事が可能であり、又、各灯具50へのファイバー数を一定にする必要は無く、ファイバーのバンドル数を変える事によって各灯具の明るさを変えることが可能となる。
Claims (12)
- レーザ光を出射するレーザ光源と、
前記レーザ光を異なる波長の変換光に変換する波長変換部と、
前記変換光を混合しながら導光する第1ライトガイドと、
前記第1ライトガイドで混合された光を導光する第2ライトガイドと、を備える、照明装置。 - 前記波長変換部において前記変換光を出射する出射面は、前記レーザ光が入射した面以外の面である、請求項1に記載に照明装置。
- 前記波長変換部は、透光性の基板と、前記基板の表面に形成された蛍光体とを含み、前記レーザ光は前記基板の裏面から前記蛍光体に照射され、前記変換光は前記蛍光体から前記基板の表面側に放射される、請求項2に記載の照明装置。
- 前記第1ライトガイドは、ガラスロッドまたはミラーロッドである、請求項1〜3のいずれか一項に記載の照明装置。
- 前記第1ライトガイドは、前記波長変換部と前記第2ライトガイドとの間に配置されている、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載の照明装置。
- 前記第2ライトガイドは、光ファイバー束である、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載の照明装置。
- 前記第1ライトガイドの導光部の断面形状は、頂点数が10以下の多角形である、請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載の照明装置。
- 前記第1ライトガイドにおいて前記レーザ光が導光される導光部の断面形状が四角形であり、前記導光部の断面積の平方根と前記第1ライトガイドの光軸方向長さとのアスペクト比が2以上である、請求項1〜7のいずれか一項に記載の照明装置。
- 前記第1ライトガイドの出射端は前記第2ライトガイドの入射端よりも大きい、請求項1〜8のいずれか一項に記載の照明装置。
- 前記第1ライトガイドは、前記波長変換部から変換光が入射される入射端と前記波長変換部との間隔が一定になるように固定される、請求項1〜9のいずれか一項に記載の照明装置。
- 前記レーザ光源と前記波長変換部との間にレーザ光を混合する第3ライトガイドが配置されている、請求項1〜10のいずれか一項に記載の照明装置。
- 前記レーザ光源と前記第3ライトガイドとの間に拡散板が配置されている、請求項11に記載の照明装置。
