Description

The present invention relates to artificial marble, and more particularly, to artificial marble that can be applied to a system kitchen, a system bath, a vanity, and the like.

2. Description of the Related Art Molded articles made of artificial marble are widely used for system kitchen counters, system bath tubs, bath counters, bath aprons, and wash basins of vanities. These molded articles are known to have a configuration including a compound layer and a surface-side protective layer made of a light-transmitting gel coat disposed on the surface side via a decorative sheet between the compound layer and the compound layer. . As a decorative sheet, there is a sheet using a nonwoven fabric or the like, and a sheet has been proposed in which a pattern or color decorated by printing in the surface thereof can be visually recognized through a surface-side protective layer (for example, see Patent Document 1). .

Japanese Patent No. 3819414

However, in the artificial marble having the above-described layer structure, the printing on the decorative sheet is performed on a part of the nonwoven fabric and there is a non-printed portion (non-decorated portion), or the nonwoven fabric can be arranged only on a part of the artificial marble. Sometimes the outer edge of the nonwoven fabric is located in the plane of the compound. In these cases, the fibers of the non-woven fabric in the non-decorated portion and the outer edge of the non-woven fabric are seen from the surface of the molded product as boundaries, resulting in a disadvantage that the texture of the artificial marble is significantly reduced. In particular, since the surface side protective layer of Patent Document 1 has a glossiness of 80 to 100%, the above-mentioned inconvenience becomes significant.

In addition, the thing of patent document 1 does not give any suggestion about the light transmittance of the said compound layer in order to make the pattern etc. of a compound layer visible through the fiber of a decorative sheet, and to give a sense of depth.

[Object of the invention]
The present invention has been devised in view of the inconvenience of significantly reducing the texture of such artificial marble, and its purpose is to provide the decorative sheet with fibers and its outer edge from the surface side of the molded article. The object is to provide high-quality artificial marble that has been made invisible.
Another object of the present invention is to provide an artificial marble capable of giving a sense of depth by allowing the pattern and color of the compound layer to be visually recognized through a decorative sheet.

In order to achieve the above object, the present invention has adopted the configuration described in the claims. That is, the present invention includes a compound layer made of a resin compound, a decorative sheet disposed on the compound layer, and a surface-side protective layer made of a light-transmissive gel coat resin disposed on the decorative sheet. In artificial marble,
The decorative sheet includes a non-decorative portion in a part thereof, and the glossiness of the surface-side protective layer is 60% or less at 60 ° glossiness, and the surface roughness Ra is 0.2 μm or more. Has been adopted.

Here, the surface roughness of the surface-side protective layer is obtained by transferring the surface of a mold, by directly processing the surface-side protective layer to roughen the surface, or by using a combination thereof. Can be.

As the compound layer, a 7 mm thick molded product having an average transmittance of light of 380 to 780 nm of 4 to 40% is employed. Here, “7 mm thick” does not mean that the thickness is specified to be 7 mm, but means that the light transmittance when the thickness is 7 mm is 4 to 40%.

In practicing the present invention, the artificial marble includes a compound layer made of a resin compound, and a decorative sheet disposed on the compound layer and impregnated with a resin material for bonding. An artificial marble made of a permeable gel coat resin and provided with a surface-side protective layer for protecting the decorative sheet is manufactured. Further, the surface-side protective layer itself is roughened, or the mold is roughened and transferred, whereby minute irregularities are formed on the surface-side protective layer. Examples of a method of roughening the surface include a method of roughening with abrasive paper to which abrasive particles are attached, a blast method of hitting abrasive particles with pressure, and the like.

The resin compound is formed by blending additives such as a filler, a pattern material, a reinforcing material, and a curing agent into a thermosetting resin or a thermoplastic resin. Examples of the thermosetting resin include a polyester resin and a thermosetting acrylic resin. Examples of the thermoplastic resin include a polyester resin, a polyethylene resin, a polystyrene resin, and a vinyl chloride resin. These thermosetting resins and thermoplastic resins can be used alone, but if necessary, a plurality of types may be used in combination. As the thermosetting resin and the thermoplastic resin, those of various colors can be used. Is preferred. Although various fillers can be used, it is preferable to use inorganic filler fine powder such as alumina, aluminum hydroxide, barium sulfate, silica, glass powder, and calcium carbonate.

As the pattern material constituting the resin compound, granules obtained by crushing a plastic material colored with an inorganic or organic dye or pigment, or granules obtained by crushing natural stones such as artificial marble and mica And the like, and various colors, shapes, and sizes can be used. However, in order to obtain a natural marble-like appearance and luxury, it is preferable to use a color, shape and size similar to natural marble.

Examples of the decorative sheet include a woven fabric made of glass fiber, synthetic fiber, and the like, a nonwoven fabric made of glass fiber, synthetic fiber, and the like, papers such as printing / information paper, newsprint paper, and resin films such as vinyl chloride and PET. . Among these, it is preferable to use a glass nonwoven fabric or a synthetic fiber nonwoven fabric such as PET as the decorative sheet. The use of a nonwoven fabric has the advantage that the impregnation property of the resin is improved and the impregnation work is easy.
In addition, as a method of giving a decoration to the decoration sheet, printing by inkjet printing, screen printing, or the like, decoration by UV or heat coating, and the like are given. In the case where the decorative sheet is a woven fabric, coloring the fibers and the like can be mentioned.

Further, the resin material for bonding is preferably made of at least one of an unsaturated polyester resin, a vinyl ester resin and a thermosetting acrylic resin. Further, a monomer such as styrene may be added for viscosity adjustment. This makes it possible to easily impregnate the decorative sheet with the resin material for bonding.

In the artificial marble, it is preferable that the thickness of the front side protective layer is set to 0.15 mm to 0.6 mm. By setting the thickness of the front-side protective layer to 0.15 mm or more, it is possible to reliably prevent the decorative sheet from being exposed from the front-side protective layer. The risk of losing the protective layer is reduced. Further, by setting the thickness of the front-side protective layer to 0.6 mm or less, it is possible to prevent the vertical surface of the front-side protective layer from sagging and to prevent cracks from occurring during curing.

According to the present invention, even if a decorative sheet having a non-printed part, that is, a non-decorated part that is not subjected to printing or the like is arranged between the surface-side protective layer and the compound layer, the fibers and the decorative sheet The outer edge becomes invisible from the surface side of the molded product, and high-quality artificial marble can be provided.
Further, when the surface-side protective layer is roughened, the surface roughness of the molding die can be kept constant and the quality can be stabilized by using a configuration in which the surface of the molding die is transferred. Further, in the configuration in which the operation of roughening the surface-side protective layer after the molding is also used, the surface portion of the molded product corresponding to a portion where it is difficult to roughen the surface of the mold can be roughened.
In addition, by setting the average transmittance of the compound layer of the present invention to the range described in claim 4, the pattern, color, and the like of the pattern material or the like provided to the compound layer can be seen through the decorative sheet, and the depth (thickness) It is possible to visually recognize that pattern materials and the like are scattered in the direction), and it is possible to enhance the sense of depth as artificial marble.

Specifically, it is a mixture of a white gel coat resin, a curing agent (Kayamec manufactured by Kayaku Akzo Co., Ltd.) and a styrene monomer.

After the front side protective layer and the back side protective layer are cured by heating, a decorative sheet made of a non-woven fabric made of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) having a thickness of 0.07 mm is impregnated with an unsaturated polyester resin as an adhesive, and the front side is protected. It was placed on the layer and heated and thermally cured for a predetermined time. The decorative sheet is a sheet including a printed portion and a non-decorated portion that is not printed.

Next, the FRP mold was matched, and a compound resin obtained by mixing 200 parts of glass powder, 1 part of a curing agent, and 0.2 part of a toner with 100 parts of an unsaturated polyester resin was injected from an injection port.
After heating and curing for a predetermined time, the FRP mold is opened, a molded product having a thickness of 7 mm is taken out, and the surface side protective layer is roughened by polishing with # 150 paper and matted (matte). And
