Abstract
Description
Claims (20)
- 後根神経節の電気刺激用のシステムであって、
近位端部と遠位端部との間に延びるパドル部と、
前記近位端部から延びて、パドルリードを形成するリード部と、
前記パドル部の少なくとも1つの面上に配置された電極アレイであって、前記電極アレイが、電極アレイ構成に配列された1つ又は複数の電極接点を有する、電極アレイと、
前記遠位端部へ向かって幅が細くなる前記パドル部によって形成されたテーパー状遠位先端であって、前記テーパー状遠位先端が、椎弓切除及び靱帯切除後に前記後根神経節に対して後側の椎弓板下方に前記パドル部を外科的に配置するための形状を有し、前記外科的な配置が、前記後根神経節の電気刺激のために前記電極アレイの方向を定める、テーパー状遠位先端と、
を備える、システム。 - 前記外科的な配置が、椎弓根に対して尾側の腰椎又は胸椎神経孔の1つの中へパドル部を配備することを含む、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記パドルリードが、スパチュラ形の遠位先端を有するシースを有する送達ツールを使用して配備される、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記シースの前記スパチュラ形の遠位先端が、前記パドル部のサイズより10〜30パーセント大きい、請求項3に記載のシステム。
- 前記テーパー状遠位先端が丸みのある形状又は鋭い形状を有する、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記パドル部が、前記後根神経節を包み込むように構成される、請求項1に記載のシステム。
- 前記パドル部が、前記後根神経節を包み込むために、前記パドル部の第1端部から前記パドル部の第2端部までカーブに沿って延びる輪郭付け形状を有する、請求項6に記載のシステム。
- 前記パドル部の前記輪郭付け形状が、1本または複数本のワイヤ、1枚又は複数枚のプレート又は1つ又は複数のコイルの少なくとも1つを含む1つ又は複数の成形可能要素で維持される、請求項7に記載のシステム。
- 前記パドル部がリビングヒンジを含み、前記パドル部が第1側から第1ヒンジまで及び第2側から第2ヒンジまで延び、前記第1及び第2ヒンジが、それぞれ、前記後根神経節を包み込むために前記パドル部を輪郭に沿って折り曲げるように構成されたジョイントを形成する、請求項6に記載のシステム。
- 後根神経節の電気刺激用のシステムであって、
近位端部と遠位端部との間に延びるパドル部と、
前記近位端部から延びるリード部と、
前記パドル部の少なくとも1つの面上に配置された電極アレイであって、前記電極アレイが、非対称形パドルリードを形成する二次元電極アレイ構成に配列された1つ又は複数の電極接点を有し、前記電気刺激が、前記後根神経節の目標部位内において単一方向に集中される、電極アレイと、
第1側から第1ヒンジまで及び第2側から第2ヒンジまで延びる前記パドル部によって形成されたリビングヒンジであって、前記第1及び第2ヒンジが、それぞれ、前記後根神経節を包み込むために前記パドル部を輪郭に沿って折り曲げるように構成されたジョイントを形成する、リビングヒンジと、
を備える、システム。 - 前記単一方向が、前記目標部位の中に存在する瘢痕組織によって生じる刺激損失を凌ぐように構成される、請求項10に記載のシステム。
- 前記電極アレイが、高周波又はバースト刺激パターンの少なくとも一方のために構成される、請求項10に記載のシステム。
- 前記二次元電極アレイ構成が、4対2対2パターン、6対3対3パターン又は2対2パターンを含む、請求項10に記載のシステム。
- 前記二次元電極アレイ構成が、複数の列を有する非線形パターンで配列された前記1つ又は複数の電極接点を含む、請求項10に記載のシステム。
- 前記複数の列が、第1列、第2列および第3列を含み、前記第1ヒンジが前記第1列と前記第2列との間に配置され、前記第2ヒンジが前記第2列と前記第3列との間に配置される、請求項14に記載のシステム。
- 前記1つ又は複数の電極接点が、それぞれ、2〜3ミリメートルの範囲のサイズを有する、請求項10に記載のシステム。
- 前記電極アレイが、30〜45ミリメートルの範囲の長さ及び2〜4ミリメートルの範囲の幅を有する、請求項10に記載のシステム。
- 後根神経節の電気刺激用のシステムであって、
近位端部と遠位端部との間に延びるパドル部と、
前記近位端部から延びてパドルリードを形成するリード部と、
前記パドル部の少なくとも1つの面上に配置された電極アレイであって、前記電極アレイが、二次元電極アレイ構成に配列された1つ又は複数の電極接点を有する、電極アレイと、
前記パドルリードの縫合糸案内配備のための1つ又は複数の縫合糸ループを有する縫合糸ループ構成と、
を備える、システム。 - 前記1つ又は複数の縫合糸ループが、前記1つ又は複数の電極接点の電気経路に対して相対的に前記パドル部上に配置される、請求項18に記載のシステム。
- 前記1つ又は複数の縫合糸ループが、前記パドル部の遠位先端、前記パドル部、ネック部又は前記リード部の少なくとも1つに配置される、請求項18に記載のシステム。
