Abstract

Claims (15)
- イヌ科動物において胃腸管微生物叢を調節するための方法であって、
約25%〜約60%のタンパク質、約5%〜約30%の炭水化物、脂肪、及び繊維を含む、ペットフード組成物を前記イヌ科動物に投与すること、を含み、
投与後、前記イヌ科動物の、バクテロイデスのフィルミクテスに対する(B/F)比を、0.8未満とする、方法。 - 前記ペットフード組成物が、前記イヌ科動物においてバクテロイデスの微生物叢を減少させる、第1のプロバイオティクスを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記ペットフード組成物が、フィルミクテスの微生物叢を増加させる、第2のプロバイオティクスを含む、請求項2に記載の方法。
- 前記ペットフード組成物が、前記イヌ科動物においてフィルミクテスの微生物叢を増加させる、プロバイオティクスを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記プロバイオティクスを、前記ペットフード組成物と別にして投与する、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記プロバイオティクスを、投与する前の前記ペットフード組成物に添加する、請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記イヌ科動物が糖尿病、肥満症、炎症性疾患、心血管疾患、代謝障害、筋骨格障害又は癌を有すると同定すること、を更に含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記イヌ科動物の胃腸管微生物叢を調節することが、糖尿病、肥満症、炎症性疾患、心血管疾患、代謝障害、筋骨格障害又は癌の治療の一部である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記イヌ科動物の、バクテロイデスのフィルミクテスに対する比、(B/F)比が、0.7未満である、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記ペットフード組成物が、約45%〜約60%のタンパク質を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記ペットフード組成物が、約10%〜約20%の炭水化物を含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記ペットフード組成物がプレバイオティクスを含む、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記投与を、定期的なものにする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- B/F比を、フィルミクテス門からの、ストレプトコッカス・インファンタリウス、ルミノコッカス属ルミノコッカス種、[クロストリジウム]ヒラノニス、クロストリジウム・パーフリンジェンス、エンテロコッカス・フェシウム、[クロストリジウム]バルトレッティ、[クロストリジウム]ディフィシル、[ルミノコッカス]グナバス、ラクノスピラ・バクテリウム、ブラウティア・ハンセニイ、[ルミノコッカス]オベウム、フィーカリバクテリウム・プラウスニッツィ、クロストリジウム・ブチリカム、ラクトバシラス・ルミニス、ツリシバクター・サングイニス及びラクトバシラス・アシドフィルス、並びに、バクテロイデス門からの、バクテロイデス・コプロコラ、パラバクテロイデス・メルダエ、バクテロイデス・コプロフィルス、プレボテラ・コプリ及びバクテロイデス属バクテロイデス種の存在から算出する、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 投与後、ラクトバシラス・ルミニスが、25%減少する、請求項1に記載の方法。
