Abstract
Description
本発明は、紙又は板紙の製造方法並びにそれによって得られる紙又は板紙に関する。さらに、本発明は、プレート又はトレーなどの板紙製品を製造する方法及び紙又は板紙の作製に使用されるポリマーコート粒子を製造する方法を含む。
(i)パルプ繊維及び発泡剤を発泡性ポリマーでコーティングしてポリマーコート発泡性粒子を製造するステップ、
(ii)ある量の前記粒子を製紙用繊維状素材に包含させるステップ、
(iii)抄紙機又は板紙抄紙機の形成布上で前記繊維状素材からウェブを形成するステップ、
(iv)前記ウェブをプレス及び乾燥して紙層又は板紙層とするステップ、並びに
(v)前記紙層又は板紙層を加熱して、前記粒子に含有された前記発泡剤に、前記ポリマーを発泡させる蒸気又はガスを生成させるステップ
を含む方法によって製造される。
(i)製造される物品に一致する形状とされた凹部を有する型の上に板紙を配置するステップ、
(ii)板紙を真空によって型に引き寄せるステップ、
(iii)ステップ(ii)の間に、板紙を加熱して、板紙に包含されたポリマーコート粒子中で発泡させるステップ、及び
(iv)新たに成形された物品を冷却して、板紙内の発泡ポリマーを固化させるステップ
を含む。
(i)発泡性の第1の熱可塑性ポリマー及び第1の溶媒を含有する溶液中に長さ1〜50mmの繊維状セルロース粒子を懸濁させるステップ、
(ii)添加された水及び転相によって前記第1の熱可塑性ポリマーを前記繊維状粒子上に析出させて、包囲された水分及び第1のポリマーコーティング層を有する繊維状粒子を得るステップ、
(iii)ステップ(ii)で得られたポリマーコート粒子を、前記第1の熱可塑性ポリマーのメルトフローレートよりも低いメルトフローレートを有する第2の熱可塑性ポリマー及び第2の溶剤を含む溶液に懸濁させるステップ、並びに
(iv)前記第2の熱可塑性ポリマーを添加された水及び転相によって前記繊維状粒子上に析出させ、二重層ポリマーコーティングを有する繊維状粒子を得るステップであって、前記内側第1ポリマーコーティング層が発泡性であるが、外側第2ポリマーコーティング層が未発泡である、ステップ
を含む。
ポリマーコート繊維状粒子を製造するために、1〜50mm、好ましくは1〜5mmの長さのセルロース系繊維又はこのような繊維の束を、発泡性熱可塑性ポリマー及び有機溶媒を含有する溶液中に懸濁させる。繊維は、カバ、マツ、トウヒ、ポプラ、ユーカリなどから製造された化学パルプ、化学機械パルプ(CTMP)、熱機械パルプ(TMP)などであることができる。この目的に好ましいポリマーは、190℃以上で約15g/10分のメルトフローレートを有するLDPEであり、好ましい溶媒はデカリンである。次いで溶液に水を添加して、ポリマーを転相させて、セルロース系繊維上に析出させる。これによりポリマーの層によってコーティングされた湿潤セルロース系繊維を含む滴状粒子が得られる。これらの粒子は、本発明の教示による製紙又は板紙製造及びその後の成形プレート又はトレーの作製のための繊維状素材への添加剤として使用することができる。
単層又は多層の紙又は板紙は、通常の抄紙機又は板紙抄紙機を用いて製造され得る。製紙用の繊維状素材を調製し、これにある量の単一コート又は二重コート滴状粒子を添加する。前記粒子が均一に分布した素材を、抄紙機又は板紙抄紙機のヘッドボックスから形成布へ供給し、繊維ウェブとして、プレス及び乾燥させて完成紙又は板紙製品とする。製品としては、40〜130g/m2の重量の単層又は二重層紙及び130〜500g/m2の重量の多層板紙が挙げられる。トレーに変形するのに好適である、重量190g/m2以上の板紙が好ましい。製品の密度は、好ましくは約280g/dm3以上である。多層板紙の場合、滴状発泡性粒子は、板紙製品の各層にこのような粒子を包含させることが可能な場合でも、好ましくは内層のみに包含される。
上記のようにして得られた板紙から成形トレーを製造するには、製造されているトレーと一致する形状とされた空洞を有する型を使用する。板紙ウェブを切断してブランクとし、ブランクを型の空洞部に1つずつ対向するように配置し、トレーに変形させる成形ステップを続けてよく、又はウェブを成形ツールに連続的に供給して、成形された後にトレーを最初に互いに分離してもよい。
Claims (16)
- 紙又は板紙の製造方法であって、
(i)パルプ繊維及び発泡剤をポリマーでコーティングしてポリマーコート発泡性粒子を製造するステップ、
(ii)ある量の前記粒子を製紙用繊維状素材に包含させるステップ、
(iii)抄紙機又は板紙抄紙機の形成布上で前記繊維状素材からウェブを形成するステップ、
(iv)前記ウェブをプレス及び乾燥して紙層又は板紙層とするステップ、並びに
(v)前記紙層又は板紙層を加熱して、前記粒子に含有された前記発泡剤に、前記ポリマーを発泡させる蒸気又はガスを生成させるステップ
を含む方法。 - 前記発泡剤が水分であり、水分が蒸発してポリマーを発泡させることを特徴とする、請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記発泡性ポリマーのメルトフローレートが190℃にて少なくとも約15g/10分であることを特徴とする、請求項1又は2に記載の方法。
- 前記発泡性ポリマーが低密度ポリエチレン(LDPE)を含むことを特徴とする、請求項1から3のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- ステップ(i)において、前記粒子が二重層コーティングを施され、その内側層の前記発泡性ポリマーの溶融粘度が、その外側層の前記ポリマーの溶融粘度よりも高く、
ステップ(v)において、前記内側層の前記ポリマーが、包囲された前記発泡剤によって発泡されるのに対して、前記外側層の前記ポリマーは、実質的に未発泡のままである
ことを特徴とする、請求項1から4のいずれか一項に記載の方法。 - 前記粒子中の前記繊維が1〜50mmの長さを有することを特徴とする、請求項1から5のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記粒子中のポリマーの構成比が5〜65重量%であることを特徴とする、請求項1から6のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記粒子が、前記形成布上に供給された前記素材の乾燥重量の5〜25%を形成するために、好ましくは前記粒子をプロセス内で循環する液体と混合することによって、前記抄紙機又は板紙抄紙機のヘッドボックスにて前記繊維状素材に添加されることを特徴とする、請求項1から7のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記粒子が多層板紙の中間層に包含されることを特徴とする、請求項1から8のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記ポリマーを発泡させるためのステップ(v)の前記温度が約110〜150℃、好ましくは約115〜125℃であることを特徴とする、請求項1から9のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記紙又は板紙が加熱前に両面にポリマーコーティング層を施され、前記ポリマーコーティング層が前記素材に包含されている前記粒子中で発泡を引き起こすことを特徴とする、請求項1から10のいずれか一項に記載の方法。
- 前記紙又は板紙をコーティングするために使用される前記ポリマーが、前記素材に包含された前記粒子の前記発泡性ポリマーよりも低い溶融粘度を有することを特徴とする、請求項11に記載の方法。
- 前記ポリマーの前記発泡が新たに製造された紙又は板紙を巻き取る前に行われることを特徴とする、請求項11又は12に記載の方法。
- 請求項1から13のいずれか一項に記載の方法の使用によって得られる紙又は板紙であって、その少なくとも1枚の繊維層が木材パルプ繊維を包囲する発泡ポリマーを含有することを特徴とする、紙又は板紙。
- (i)製造される物品に一致する形状とされた凹部を有する型の上に、請求項1に記載のステップ(iv)で製造した板紙を配置するステップ、
(ii)前記板紙を真空によって前記型に引き寄せるステップ、
(iii)ステップ(ii)の間に、前記板紙を加熱して、前記板紙に包含された前記ポリマーコート粒子中で発泡させるステップ、及び
(iv)新たに成形された物品を冷却して、前記板紙内の前記発泡ポリマーを固化させるステップ
を含む、請求項1に記載のステップ(i)から(iv)に従って製造した板紙からトレー又はプレートなどの板紙物品を製造する方法。 - (i)発泡性の第1の熱可塑性ポリマー及び第1の溶媒を含有する溶液中に長さ1〜50mmの繊維状セルロース粒子を懸濁させるステップ、
(ii)添加された水及び転相によって前記第1の熱可塑性ポリマーを前記繊維状粒子上に析出させて、包囲された水分及び第1のポリマーコーティング層を有する繊維状粒子を得るステップ、
(iii)ステップ(ii)で得られた前記ポリマーコート粒子を、前記第1の熱可塑性ポリマーの溶融粘度よりも低い溶融粘度を有する第2の熱可塑性ポリマー及び第2の溶剤を含む溶液に懸濁させるステップ、並びに
(iv)前記第2の熱可塑性ポリマーを添加された水及び転相によって前記繊維状粒子上に析出させ、二重層ポリマーコーティングを有する繊維状粒子を得るステップであって、その内側第1ポリマーコーティング層は発泡性であるが、その外側第2ポリマーコーティング層は未発泡である、ステップ
を含む、請求項5に記載の方法において使用するためのポリマーコート粒子の製造方法。
