Description

The present invention relates to an airbag apparatus for a vehicle, and more particularly to an airbag apparatus that can be mounted on a vehicle while maintaining a compact shape of a folded airbag that is compactly folded.

Conventionally, in this type of airbag device, the airbag is folded to form a folded body so that the airbag can be stored in a compact manner. The folding body has been wrapped with a wrapping material so that the folding shape of the folding body can be maintained against the above (see, for example, Patent Documents 1 and 2). The folding body is a wrapping material as a three-dimensional shape such as a columnar shape including a bottom surface portion, a ceiling portion disposed to face the bottom surface portion, and a side surface portion between the bottom surface portion and the ceiling portion. Covers at least a part of the surface side extending over the ceiling, side surface, and bottom surface of the foldable body, and is disposed by being locked to a fastener disposed on the bottom surface side of the foldable body. It was. A fastener is usually used for a retainer used to attach an airbag (folded body) to a storage site such as a bag holder or a case for holding a folded airbag (folded body) in an airbag device. It was what was arranged. In other words, the retainer is housed in the airbag, and is disposed on the bottom wall portion that presses the airbag against a housing portion such as a bag holder or a case, and on the lower surface side of the bottom wall portion. The bolt is configured to include a bolt to be stopped, and the bolt is used as a fastener as a configuration protruding outside the airbag.

特開2008−168673号公報JP 2008-168673 A 特開2013−244937号公報JP 2013-244937 A

However, in the conventional airbag device, the wrapping material is composed of the airbag base fabric similar to the airbag, and it is inevitable that the same elongation as the folded folded body occurs. With wrapping material, the folding body cannot be covered so that it can accurately counter the restoring force (springback) that tries to eliminate folding, and it is improved when the airbag device itself is mounted in a small space area. There was room for.

The present invention solves the above-described problems, and an object of the present invention is to provide an airbag device that can maintain a folded folded body in a compact state and can be easily mounted on a small space.

An airbag device according to the present invention is an airbag that inflates by inflating an inflation gas from a folded state of a folded body,
A flexible wrapping material that wraps the foldable body so that the folded shape of the foldable body can be maintained against a restoring force that attempts to eliminate folding in the foldable body;
Configured with
The folding body has a three-dimensional shape including a bottom surface portion, a ceiling portion disposed so as to face the bottom surface portion, and a side surface portion between the bottom surface portion and the ceiling portion,
The wrapping material covers the ceiling side, the side surface portion, and the bottom surface portion of the foldable body, and is engaged with a fastener disposed on the bottom surface portion side of the foldable body. An airbag device disposed,
The wrapping material is
A ceiling cover portion that covers the ceiling portion of the folded body, a side surface cover portion that covers the side surface portion, and a bottom surface cover portion that has a locking hole that covers the bottom surface portion and engages the fastener. A flexible sheet-like cover member comprising:
Opposite to the direction of action of the restoring force of the foldable body, an elongation regulating member provided on at least a part of the cover member so as to suppress the elongation of the cover member;
It is characterized by comprising.

In the airbag device according to the present invention, the folded body of the airbag is wrapped in a wrapping material, and the wrapping material covers a sheet-like cover covering the ceiling portion, the side surface portion, and the bottom surface portion of the folded body. The member is provided with an elongation regulating material that suppresses the elongation of the cover member. Therefore, the cover member covers the ceiling portion of the folded body with the ceiling cover portion, covers the side surface portion of the folded body with the side surface cover portion, and covers the bottom surface portion of the folded body with the bottom surface cover portion. If the folding body is wrapped so that the part is locked to the fastener using the locking holes, the expansion regulating material can counteract the restoring force of the folding body acting on the cover member, and the folding body The spring back can be regulated and a compact folded shape can be maintained.

Therefore, the airbag apparatus according to the present invention can maintain the folded folded body in a compact state and can be easily mounted on a small space.

In the airbag device according to the present invention, the elongation restricting material may be composed of an elongation restricting coating agent applied to the cover member, or a sewing thread may be sewn at a portion where the elongation of the cover member is suppressed. It can be comprised from the sewing part for elongation regulation which becomes.

The elongation regulating coating agent may be applied to the entire surface of the cover member, or may be partially applied to a portion where the elongation of the cover member is suppressed. Examples of the elongation regulating coating agent include a silicon coating agent that improves heat resistance of the airbag fabric.

If the fasteners are disposed at a plurality of locations on the outer peripheral edge side of the bottom surface portion, the ceiling cover can be connected to the bottom cover portion side edge in the vicinity of the fastener in the side cover portion in the vicinity of the fastener. A side-side sewn part that is arranged to extend to the center part, and extends from the end of the side-side sewn part on the ceiling cover part side to the center side of the ceiling cover part, and at least near the outer periphery of the ceiling cover part And a ceiling-side sewing portion that is provided with a portion along the outer peripheral edge of the cover portion.

In such a configuration, the side surface side sewing portion provided on the side surface cover portion of the cover member as the elongation restricting sewing portion is disposed in the vicinity of the locking hole locked to the fastener, and the ceiling cover of the cover member is provided. It becomes the structure which pulls the ceiling side sewing part provided in the outer periphery of a part. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the cover member from increasing the height near the center of the ceiling part of the folding body by the ceiling side sewing part and the side surface side sewing part in the elongation restricting sewing part, and Only the part is pressed to the bottom surface side along the side surface portion, the height from the bottom surface portion of the folded body to the ceiling portion can be suppressed, and the compact folded shape of the folded body can be maintained. By the way, not only the outer peripheral part of the ceiling part of the foldable body, but also the vicinity of the center of the ceiling part, from the vicinity of the center, through the intersection part on both sides of the ceiling part and the side part, and further, the side parts on both sides When the wrapping material wraps the foldable body and presses the foldable body so that it is connected to the bottom surface side through the crossing portions on both sides of the ceiling portion and the side surface portion are on the bottom surface side. It becomes a state that hangs down, and causes a situation where the vicinity of the center of the ceiling part is raised, and as a result, the height of the folding body is increased, and it becomes difficult to maintain the compact folding shape of the folding body. .

Further, as the stretch regulation sewing portion, at the periphery of the locking hole to be locked to the fastener, at least the locking hole side sewing portion disposed on the edge side in the direction opposite to the direction in which the restoring force of the folding body is applied, May be provided.

In such a configuration, even when the bottom cover portion of the cover member is pulled and extended, the peripheral edge of the locking hole in the bottom cover portion of the cover member locked to the fastener can be suppressed, and the cover The member (wrapping material) can maintain the compact folded shape of the folded body.

And as an air bag device of the 2nd invention, an air bag which inflates by infusing inflation gas,
A flexible shape-maintaining member that covers the folded body so that the folded shape of the folded body can be maintained against a restoring force that attempts to eliminate folding in the folded body;
With
The folding body has a three-dimensional shape including a bottom surface portion, a ceiling portion disposed so as to face the bottom surface portion, and a side surface portion between the bottom surface portion and the ceiling portion, An airbag device configured to protrude from the vicinity of the outer peripheral edge of the bottom surface portion, a fastener for locking the end portion of the shape maintaining member,
The shape maintaining member includes a ceiling cover portion that covers the ceiling portion of the folded body, a side surface cover portion that extends from an end portion of the ceiling cover portion and covers the side surface portion, and a bottom surface that extends from the side surface cover portion. And a bottom cover portion having a locking hole that covers the portion and is locked to the fastener, and is formed from a flexible sheet material,
The ceiling cover portion includes a central portion that covers the vicinity of the center of the ceiling portion, and is configured to extend from the central portion to both sides in a straight line so as to cross the ceiling portion. As a terminal, fixed to the edge side of the ceiling portion, and the other end side is connected to the side cover portion,
The bottom surface cover portion, the side surface cover portion, and the ceiling cover portion that go from the locking hole to the fixing portion of the ceiling cover portion to the edge side of the ceiling portion in a state where the shape maintaining member is flatly developed. Is arranged in a straight line.

In the airbag device according to the second aspect of the invention, the sheet-like shape maintaining member having flexibility spans the vicinity of the center of the ceiling part of the folding body and the terminal of the ceiling cover part extending from the center part. In the state of being fixed to the edge side of the ceiling part, the end part side that extends to the opposite side of the center part in the ceiling cover part is connected to the side cover part that covers the side part of the folding body, and then folded from the side cover part. The bottom cover of the tatami body is covered and connected to the bottom cover that is locked to the fastener. For this reason, the ceiling cover portion that extends linearly from the bottom surface cover portion in the unfolded state efficiently presses the vicinity of the center of the ceiling portion of the folding body toward the bottom surface portion side, and the height of the ceiling portion of the folding body And the portion of the foldable body (ceiling) near the intersection of the ceiling cover portion and the side cover portion is pressed by pressing the intersection portion of the ceiling cover portion with the side cover portion itself toward the bottom cover portion. The increase in the height of the part and the side part) can be suppressed, and the compact folded shape of the folded body can be maintained. In particular, the shape maintaining member has a ceiling cover portion straddling the vicinity of the center of the ceiling portion of the foldable body, and the terminal side is fixed to the edge side of the ceiling portion without providing a portion extending to the side surface portion side of the foldable body. Therefore, although the ceiling cover portion presses the intersection of the ceiling portion and the side surface portion of the folding body on the connection side with the side surface cover portion toward the bottom surface portion side, the ceiling portion of the folding body on the terminal side and Since the crossing part with the side part is not pressed to the center side of the bottom part so as to hang down, it becomes a pressing state that does not increase the height near the center of the ceiling part, and the shape maintaining member is A compact folded shape can be maintained. By the way, the ceiling cover part straddling the vicinity of the center of the ceiling part of the foldable body connects both sides of the central part to the side cover part that covers the side part of the foldable body, and each side cover part If the bottom cover part connected to the fastener is locked to the fastener, the side parts on both sides of the center part of the ceiling cover part and the side cover parts on both sides of the ceiling part of the folding body The crossing parts on both sides of the bottom part of the bottom part of the bottom part are pushed diagonally, the crossing parts on both sides hang down, and the center of the ceiling part is pushed up to raise the height of the folding body. Will be invited.

If the plurality of fasteners are arranged in the vicinity of the outer peripheral edge of the bottom surface portion of the folded body as radial positions relative to the center of the bottom surface portion, A plurality of ceiling cover portions may be disposed so as to intersect with each other, and the bottom surface cover portions are locked to fasteners at different positions.

In such a configuration, the folding body is folded by the ceiling cover portions of the plurality of shape maintaining members in a state in which the pressing to the center side of the bottom surface portion at the intersection of the ceiling portion and the side surface portion is suppressed. An increase in the height of the center of the center is reliably prevented, and an increase in the height of the intersection of the plurality of ceiling cover portions and the side cover portions is also reliably prevented. The compact folding shape can be maintained.

And as a shape maintenance member, the ceiling cover part may be directly fixed to the outer periphery of the ceiling part itself of the foldable body, or a wrapping material disposed by being locked to a fastener. Thus, when the top side, the side part, and the bottom side part of the foldable body are covered, the ceiling cover part of the shape maintaining member is fixed to the portion of the wrapping material that covers the ceiling part of the foldable body. Further, a configuration may be adopted in which a wrapping material that covers the ceiling portion is interposed on the edge side of the ceiling portion of the folded body.

In addition, the folding body is formed by being compressed in a direction in which the ceiling portion and the bottom surface portion are brought close to each other, and the ceiling portion of the folding body has a concave portion recessed from the outer peripheral side near the center. It is desirable that the outer peripheral edge side has a ceiling surface substantially parallel to the bottom surface portion and is provided with a raised portion that protrudes from the recess so as to surround the recess.

If it is such a foldable body, the raised portion provided on the outer peripheral edge of the ceiling portion is in a state compressed to the bottom surface portion side, and the wrapping material and the shape maintaining member provided with the elongation suppressing material on the cover member are provided. Even if the folding body is wrapped, the raised part located at the intersection of the ceiling part and the side part is in a compressed state, so it is difficult to hang down to the center side of the bottom part, and the folding body is a compact folding The shape can be maintained. Then, if the folding body is wrapped in a wrapping material or shape maintaining member provided with an elongation suppressing material on the cover member, the intersection of the ceiling portion and the side surface portion hangs downward, and the center of the ceiling portion is raised. Even if it tries to make it, the crevice is beforehand formed in the center of the ceiling part, and the crevice itself can absorb the bulge which makes the ceiling part high, and can prevent the state where the ceiling part itself becomes high As a result, the folded body can maintain a compact folded shape.

A plurality of gas discharge ports 18 a for discharging the expansion gas are disposed on the upper portion 18 b side above the flange portion 19 of the main body portion 18.

As shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, the airbag cover 20 is made of a synthetic resin such as an olefin-based thermoplastic elastomer (TPO) and is disposed on the upper surface side of the boss portion B near the center of the steering wheel W. The airbag cover 20 includes a ceiling wall portion 21 that covers the upper side of the folded body 50 that is folded and housed inside the boss portion B, and extends from the lower surface of the ceiling wall portion 21 in a substantially cylindrical shape. And a side wall portion 23 that covers the outer periphery of the side surface portion 58 of the tatami body 50.

The ceiling wall portion 21 is provided with a disk-shaped door portion 21a that is pushed by the inflating airbag 30 and opens to the front side. The door portion 21a is configured by providing a hinge portion 21b on the front edge side, and providing a thin portion to be broken 21c that is substantially arcuate when viewed from above.

In the case of the first embodiment, a substantially disc-shaped ornament 22 made of synthetic resin is fixed to the upper surface side of the door portion 21a. When the door portion 21a is opened, the ornament 22 rotates integrally with the door portion 21a.

As shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, the side wall portion 23 of the airbag cover 20 is provided with locking leg portions 24 that are coupled to the bag holder 11 at three locations on the front side and the left and right diagonally rear sides. Yes. Each locking leg 24 is provided so as to extend downward from the lower end surface of the side wall 23, and is inserted into the locking hole 12e in the bag holder 11 and locked to the periphery of the locking hole 12e. The locking leg portion 24 includes an inner protrusion 24 a that protrudes to the inner peripheral surface of the side wall portion 23 and an outer protrusion 24 b that protrudes to the outer peripheral surface side of the side wall portion 23. The inner protrusion 24a is locked by the tongue piece 12f that is bent and deformed after insertion into the hole 12e, the locking leg 24 is pressed by the tongue piece 12f, and the outer protrusion 24b becomes the inflator of the locking hole 12e. The airbag cover 20 is locked to the bag holder 11 by being locked to the peripheral edge on the outer edge side away from 17, while being prevented from coming off upward.

Further, the side wall portion 23 is configured such that the lower end surface between the locking leg portions 24, 24 is brought into contact with the base plate portion 12 of the bag holder 11, and is further moved upward from the bag holder 11 by the locking leg portion 24. Therefore, the airbag cover 20 is attached and fixed to the bag holder 11 with its vertical movement and front / rear / left / right movement restricted.

As shown in FIGS. 1 to 3, the bag holder 11 is made of sheet metal, and holds the folded body 50, the inflator 17, and the airbag cover 20, and further uses the switch body 15 to provide an airbag device. 10 is configured as a sheet metal member to be attached to the steering wheel body 1 side. The bag holder 11 includes a substantially annular base plate portion 12 and a side wall support portion 13 that protrudes upward from the outer peripheral edge of the base plate portion 12.

The base plate portion 12 is provided with a locking portion 12d formed by penetrating a locking hole 12e provided with a tongue piece portion 12f on the front side and the left and right oblique rear sides. A switch support portion 12g having a substantially semi-disc shape for fixing each switch body 15 is disposed. The side wall support portion 13 is disposed on the outer peripheral surface side of the side wall portion 23 of the airbag cover 20 between the locking portion 12d and the switch support portion 12g so that the side wall portion 23 inflates when the airbag 30 is inflated. Restricts deformation.

In addition, a substantially circular insertion hole 12a into which the main body portion 18 of the inflator 17 can be inserted from below is opened at the center of the base plate portion 12 so as to correspond to the inflow opening 33 of the airbag 30. Four through holes 12b through which the bolts 27 of the retainer 25 are passed are formed on the periphery. The part provided with the through hole 12b at the periphery of the insertion hole 12a serves as a mounting seat 12c for mounting the folding body 50 and the inflator 17 using the retainer 25.

The three switch bodies 15 arranged in each switch support portion 12g constitute a floating type horn switch mechanism (horn switch) 14 of the steering wheel W. As shown in FIG. 2, each switch body 15 is urged upward by a coil spring 15 b and is locked to the fixing portion 5 of the core metal 2 while being prevented from coming out upward. The upward biasing position is regulated by the assembly pin 15a. When the horn switch mechanism (horn switch) 14 is operated, if the airbag device 10 is pressed, the movable contact on the switch support portion 12g side in the switch body 15 approaches the fixed contact on the assembly pin 15a side. By touching, the horn operating circuit is energized and the horn is operated.

Specifically, when the vicinity of the center of the ceiling wall portion 21 of the airbag cover 20 is pressed, the ceiling wall portion 21 of the folding body 50 having a shape retaining property capable of supporting the ceiling wall portion 21 is provided. , The folding body 50 is pushed downward, and the bag holder 11 with which the bottom surface portion 51 of the folding body 50 moving downward is in contact is lowered. Therefore, the bag holder 11 moves the contact on the movable side of each switch body 15 together with the base plate portion 12 to operate the horn.

The airbag 30 is opened in a circular shape so as to allow the inflating gas to flow into the lower portion as a substantially disk-shaped expansion completion shape having a thickness approximate to a spherical shape, as shown by a two-dot chain line in FIGS. An inflow opening 33 is provided (see FIG. 4), and the periphery of the inflow opening 33 is a mounting portion 34 to the bag holder 11, and the mounting portion 34 has four through holes 34a through which the bolts 27 of the retainer 25 are passed. Is formed.

The outer peripheral wall 31 of the airbag 30 has an outer peripheral edge 35a with respect to the vehicle body side wall part 32 in which the inflow opening 33 and the mounting part 34 described above are arranged near the center and the outer peripheral edge 32a of the vehicle body side wall part 32. The driver side wall 35 is arranged so as to face the side wall 32 of the vehicle body. The vehicle body side wall portion 32 and the driver side wall portion 35 are formed from a base fabric for a bag made of synthetic fiber such as polyamide or polyester having a circular outer shape and provided on the outer peripheral edges 32a and 35a. An outer peripheral wall 31 is formed by stitching the seam allowances 32b and 35b.

Further, the attachment portion 34 of the vehicle body side wall portion 32 is a substantially square annular portion that is fixed to the attachment seat 12 c of the bag holder 11 with the inner surface abutting against the lower surface side of a bottom wall portion 26 described later of the retainer 25. As shown in FIGS. 1 to 3 and 5 to 8, the retainer 25 has a rectangular annular bottom wall portion 26 having a communication opening 26 a that opens corresponding to the inflow opening 33 at the center, and a bottom wall portion 26. The reinforcing ribs 28 are disposed so as to rise from the entire circumference of the outer peripheral edge. The communication opening 26 a is a circular opening having the same shape as the inflow opening 33. The retainer 25 includes a plurality of bolts 27 that protrude downward from the bottom wall portion 26 around the communication opening 26 a with the communication opening 26 a as a center, and fix the attachment portion 34 of the airbag 30 to the bag holder 11. ing. Each bolt 27 protrudes downward from the vicinity of the four corners of the square annular bottom wall portion 26. The retainer 25 is disposed in the attachment portion 34 of the inflow opening 33 in the airbag 30, and each bolt 27 is connected to the through hole 34 a of the airbag 30, the through hole 12 b of the bag holder 11, and the flange of the inflator 17. The airbag 30 and the inflator 17 are attached to the bag holder 11 by sequentially passing through the through holes 19 a of the portion 19 and fastening the nuts 29 to the respective bolts 27.

Each bolt 27 also has a function as a fastener for locking the bottom surface cover portion 84 of the wrapping material 80 that wraps the folded body 50 by being fitted into a locking hole 84a described later.

In addition, an annular reinforcing cloth 37 is stitched to the portion of the attaching portion 34 in the airbag 30 in order to increase the heat resistance of the attaching portion 34, and extended from the outer peripheral edge of the reinforcing cloth 37. B). Further, a mold surface 67 a corresponding to the arcuate curved surface of the cylindrical side surface portion 58 of the folding body 50 is formed on the set portion 62 side of the pusher 67. The pushing tool 68 has a substantially triangular plate shape with the set portion 62 side tapered.

In addition, the vicinity of the center on the lower surface side of the ceiling side substrate 64 is a molding surface (mold surface) 64 a for forming the ceiling portion 54 of the folded body 50. And in the center of the shaping | molding surface 64a, it is set as the set part 64b for assembling | attaching the pressing jig 65 for shaping the recessed part 55 of the folding body 50. As shown in FIG. The pressing jig 65 includes a bowl-shaped assembly portion 65a attached to the periphery of the assembly hole 64c of the set portion 64b, a disk-shaped substrate portion 65b fitted into the assembly hole 64c, and a lower portion from the substrate portion 65b. And a frustoconical protrusion 65c that protrudes toward the bottom. As shown in FIG. 21A, the protrusion 65 c has a convex shape corresponding to the concave shape of the concave portion 55 of the folded body 50, and a tip surface 65 ca that can form the bottom portion 55 a of the concave portion 55, and an inclination of the concave portion 55. And an inclined surface 65cb capable of forming the portion 55b. And the lower surface 65ba side of the board | substrate part 65b will shape the ceiling surface 56a of the protruding part 56 in the ceiling part 54 of the folding body 50. FIG.

And in the small diameter folding process of the folding process using the bag folding machine 60, first, as shown to A and B of FIG. 10, in the state which formed the folding preparation body 44, each bolt 27 is set to the set part 62. Next, as shown in FIG. 10C, the predetermined height (equivalent to the height dimension H0 from the bottom surface portion 51 of the folded body 50 to the ceiling portion 54) from the set portion 62 of the bottom substrate 61 is set. The ceiling side board | substrate 64 is arrange | positioned in the position which becomes.

Next, as shown in FIG. 11, the pushers 67 and 68 are moved to the set portion 62 side, and the pusher 67 holds the predetermined eight places 46 on the outer peripheral edge 44 a of the folding preparation body 44. . Thereafter, as shown in FIG. 12A, first, each pusher 68 is moved to the set portion 62 side (the inflow opening 33 side), and the region on the set portion 62 side of the pusher 67 in the folding preparation body 44. The eight pushing locations 47 on the outer peripheral edge 44a of the folding preparation body 44 are pushed into the set portion 62 side.

Thereafter, the gripping portion 46 of the outer peripheral edge 44a in each pusher 67 is released, each pusher 67 is moved to the set portion 62 side, and the eight places 46 are set as shown in FIG. Push into the part 62 side.

Then, as shown in FIG. 13A, the folding preparation body 44 is folded in a small diameter into a substantially cylindrical preliminary folding body 49 equivalent to the substantially cylindrical folding body 50. Although this preliminary folding body 49 is before the compression step, the ceiling portion 54 having the concave portion 55 similar to that of the folding body 50, the side surface portion 58, and the concave portion 49 a and the concave portion 53 having a smaller volume than the concave portion 52. The bottom surface portion 51 is provided (see FIGS. 13A and 13B).

Since the protruding portion 65c of the pressing jig 65 has a truncated cone shape, the pressing tools 67 and 68 are pressed by the pressing tools 67 and 68 as shown in FIG. The portion sandwiched between the inclined surface 65 cb, that is, the portion of the outer peripheral edge 54 b of the ceiling portion 54 extending from the ceiling surface 56 a of the raised portion 56 serving as the peripheral edge of the concave portion 55 to the side surface portion 58 is stronger than the portion of the concave portion 55. It is in a compressed and shaped state. Further, the pre-folding body 49 is compressed between the pushing jig 65 and the set portion 62 of the bottom substrate 61 by being pushed by the pushing tools 67 and 68, so that the inner part of the pre-folding body 49 when the pushing is completed. In the stress state, the stress state is the same as when the ceiling portion 54 and the bottom surface portion 51 are compressed in the direction in which they approach each other.

After the small diameter folding step, the ceiling side substrate 64 provided with the pushing jig 65 is replaced with the ceiling side substrate 64 provided with the tube jig 70 as shown in FIGS. Replace with. The tube jig 70 includes a cylindrical tube portion 70a into which the preliminary folding body 49 can be inserted and a flange portion 70b that can be assembled to the periphery of the assembly hole 64c. In addition, a locking pin 70c that locks the side cover portion 83 (cylindrical portion 122) of the wrapping material 80 is disposed on the cylindrical portion 70a.

Thereafter, as shown by the solid line in FIG. 13B to the solid line C in FIG. 13 and the two-dot chain line in FIG. 13C, the tube jig 70 is covered with the wrapping material 80, and the set portion 62 is replaced with the preliminary folded body. 49 is pushed up, and the preliminary folding body 49 is moved into the cylindrical portion 70 a of the tube jig 70. As shown in FIG. 17B, the wrapping material 80 forms a cylindrical portion 122, and the ceiling cover portion 82 is disposed at the opening end 70aa of the cylindrical portion 70a, so that the side cover portion 83 (cylindrical) is formed. The portion 122) is locked to the locking pin 70c.

Next, as shown in FIG. 14A, the tube jig 70 in which the pre-folded body 49 is accommodated is set in the set portion 73a of the fixed side portion 73 of the bag press machine 72 that performs the compression process.

The bag press machine 72 includes a fixed side portion 73 and a movable side portion 76. The fixed side portion 73 includes a block 74 that houses the tube jig 70 assembled with the wrapping material 80, and a push jig 75 that is disposed so as to face the ceiling portion 54 side of the preliminary folding body 49. ing. The pressing jig 75 includes a disk-shaped substrate portion 75a and a truncated cone-shaped protrusion 75b protruding upward from the substrate portion 75a. The protruding portion 75b has a convex shape corresponding to the concave shape of the concave portion 55 of the folded body 50, and a tip surface 75ba capable of forming the bottom portion 55a of the concave portion 55 and an inclined surface 75bb capable of forming the inclined portion 55b of the concave portion 55. And is configured. And the upper surface 75aa side of the board | substrate part 75a will shape the ceiling surface 56a of the protruding part 56 in the ceiling part 54 of the folding body 50. FIG.

The movable side portion 76 is provided with a pushing jig 77 that forms a recess 52 for storing the inflator 17 in the folded body 50 at the lower end, and is arranged to be movable up and down. A flange portion 78 that is in contact with the bottom surface portion 51 of the folding body 50 is provided. A through hole (not shown) through which each bolt 27 passes is formed in the flange portion 78.

Then, as shown in FIG. 14A, the tube jig 70 in which the pre-folding body 49 is accommodated is set on the set portion 73a of the fixed side portion 73, and then movable as shown in FIG. 14B. When the side portion 76 is lowered and the concave portion 52 is shaped by the pushing jig 77 and the concave portion 55 is shaped again with high precision by the pushing jig 75, the folded body 50 can be formed. .

At this time, since the protrusion 75b of the pressing jig 75 has a truncated cone shape, as shown in FIG. 21B, the pressing jig 77 is pressed by the pressing jig 77 and the protrusion 75b. The part sandwiched between them, that is, the part immediately below the concave part 55 (the part on the bottom face part 51 side) 50b is in a state of escaping in the direction orthogonal to the axis DV of the folded body 50, and the inclined surface 75bb of the ridge part 75b. The portion of the outer peripheral edge 54b of the ceiling portion 54 extending from the ceiling surface 56a of the raised portion 56 to the peripheral edge of the concave portion 55 to the side surface portion 58 is more strongly compressed and shaped than the portion of the concave portion 55 (with the ceiling portion 54 and The portion connecting the outer peripheral edges with the bottom surface portion 51 is strongly compressed vertically. In FIG. 14, the shape of the wrapping material 80 and the pushing jig 75 is illustrated with a gap from the preliminary folding body 49 so that the shapes can be easily understood. As described above, the ceiling portion 54 and the wrapping material 80 are in close contact with the pushing jig 75.

And after passing through a compression process, as shown to A and B of FIG. 15, while removing the tube jig | tool 70, the movable side part 76 is returned, and each bottom face cover part 84 of the wrapping material 80 is made into a locking hole. By using 84a and locking to a predetermined bolt 27 (see FIGS. 18 and 19), it is possible to obtain the bag assembly 100 in which the folded body 50 is wrapped with the wrapping material 80.

When assembling the airbag device 10, first, the bag assembly 100 is fitted on the inner peripheral surface side of the side wall portion 23 of the airbag cover 20. Next, the bolts 27 of the bag assembly 100 are passed through the through holes 12b of the bag holder 11, and the locking legs 24 of the airbag cover 20 are inserted into the locking holes 12e of the bag holder 11, Each tongue piece 12f is bent outward so as to be locked to the inner protrusion 24a of the locking leg 24, and the outer protrusion 24b of the locking leg 24 is engaged with the inner peripheral edge on the outer edge side of the locking hole 12e. Then, the airbag cover 20 is attached to the bag holder 11. Note that each switch body 15 is attached to the bag holder 11 in advance. Thereafter, each bolt 27 protruding from the bag holder 11 is passed through the through hole 19a of the inflator 17, a nut 29 is fastened to each bolt 27, and the bag holder 11 to which the airbag cover 20 is already attached is attached to the bag. If the assembly body 100 and the inflator 17 are attached and fixed, the airbag device 10 can be assembled.

The air bag device 10 is mounted on the vehicle by inserting the lower end of the assembly pin 15a of each switch body 15 into the locking hole 5a of each fixed portion 5 of the steering wheel body 1 that has been assembled to the steering shaft SS. If the assembly pin 15a is locked to the locking pin 5b, the airbag device 10 can be attached to the steering wheel main body 1, and the assembly of the steering wheel W is completed. 10 can be mounted on a vehicle.

When the airbag device 10 is attached to the steering wheel body 1, a lead wire (not shown) of the bag holder 11 is connected to the positive side of the horn operating circuit, and a lead (not shown) for inputting an operation signal to the inflator 17. Wires will be connected.

If an operation signal is input to the inflator 17 after being mounted on the vehicle, the inflator 17 causes the inflation gas G to be discharged from the gas discharge port 18a. Therefore, the folded airbag 30 flows into the inflation gas G. The ceiling cover portion 82 of the wrapping material 80 is broken, and the door portion 21a of the ceiling wall portion 21 of the airbag cover 20 is pushed open to protrude from the open opening of the door portion 21a, and the boss portion B Will expand and expand so as to cover the upper surface of the ring portion R from above (see the two-dot chain line in FIGS. 1 and 2).

And in the airbag apparatus 10 of 1st Embodiment, as shown to FIGS. 6-8, the folding body 50 of the airbag 30 is wrapped in the wrapping material 80, and this wrapping material 80 is a folding body. The sheet-like cover member 81 that covers the ceiling portion 54, the side surface portion 58, and the bottom surface portion 51 of the 50 is provided with an elongation regulating sewing portion 88 as an elongation regulating member 86 that suppresses the elongation of the cover member 81. It is configured. Therefore, the cover member 81 covers the ceiling portion 54 of the folded body 50 with the ceiling cover portion 82, covers the side surface portion 58 of the folded body 50 with the side surface cover portion 83, and then covers the folded body 50 with the bottom surface cover portion 84. If the folding body 50 is wrapped so that the bottom cover portion 84 is locked to the bolt 27 as a fastener using the locking hole 84a, The restoring force of the folding body 50 acting on the cover member 81 can be countered, the spring back of the folding body 50 can be regulated, and a compact folded shape can be maintained.

Therefore, the airbag apparatus 10 of 1st Embodiment can maintain the folded-up folding body 50 in a compact state, and is the air on the bag holder 11 of the small space part, ie, the boss | hub part B of the steering wheel W. The bag cover 20 can be easily mounted on a small-sized storage part BS (see FIGS. 2 and 3) surrounded by the ceiling wall part 21 and the side wall part 23.

And in the airbag apparatus 10 of 1st Embodiment, the elongation control material 86 is provided with the side side sewing part 90 and the ceiling side sewing part 91 as the elongation control sewing part 88, and is comprised. The side surface side sewing portion 90 is disposed so as to extend from the edge 83b on the bottom surface cover portion 84 side in the vicinity of the bolt 27 in the side surface cover portion 83 in the vicinity of the bolt 27 as a fastener to the ceiling cover portion 82. The ceiling side sewing portion 91 includes an extending portion 91c extending from the end 90a on the side of the side cover sewing portion 90 toward the center (center) 91b of the ceiling cover portion 82, and the vicinity of the outer peripheral edge of the ceiling cover portion 82. Thus, at least a portion along the outer peripheral edge of the ceiling cover portion 82, in the first embodiment, an annular portion 91 a that intersects with the extending portion 91 c is disposed. Specifically, the side sewing parts 90 are arranged along the facing direction (vertical direction) between the ceiling cover part 82 and the bottom cover part 84, from the edge 83b on the bottom cover part 84 side in the vicinity of the bolt 27, to the corresponding ceiling side. It arrange | positions so that it may extend in the shortest distance to the extension part 91c of the sewing part 91. FIG.

Therefore, in the first embodiment, the side surface side sewing portion 90 provided in the side surface cover portion 83 of the cover member 81 as the elongation regulating sewing portion 88 is disposed in the vicinity of the locking hole 84 a that is locked to the bolt 27. Then, the annular portion 91a of the ceiling side sewing portion 91 provided on the outer peripheral edge of the ceiling cover portion 82 of the cover member 81 so as to face the acting direction TD (see FIGS. 6 and 16) of the restoring force of the folding body 50. It becomes the structure which pulls. Therefore, it is possible to prevent the cover member 81 from increasing the height in the vicinity of the center 54a of the ceiling portion 54 of the folding body 50 by the ceiling side sewing portion 91 and the side surface side sewing portion 90 in the elongation regulating sewing portion 88. Thus, only the portion of the outer peripheral edge 54b of the ceiling portion 54 is pressed to the bottom surface portion 51 side along the side surface portion 58, and the height dimension H0 from the bottom surface portion 51 of the folded body 50 to the ceiling portion 54 is set. And the compact folded shape of the folded body 50 can be maintained.

Incidentally, as shown in FIG. 20B, not only the portion of the outer peripheral edge 54b of the ceiling portion 54 of the folded body 500 but also the vicinity of the center 54a including the vicinity of the center 54a, the ceiling portion 54 and the side surface The wrapping material 800 wraps the foldable body 500 so as to be connected to the bottom surface portion 51 side via the intersection portions 59 on both sides of the portion 58 and further on the side surface portions 58 on both sides. Is strongly pressed, as shown by a two-dot chain line in FIG. 20B, the crossing portions 59 on both sides of the ceiling portion 54 and the side surface portion 58 hang down to the bottom surface portion 51 side. As a result, the height of the folding body 500 is increased from H0 to H1, and it becomes difficult to maintain the compact folding shape of the folding body 500. End up.

Further, in the first embodiment, as the elongation restricting sewing portion 88, a locking hole side sewing portion 93 disposed on the entire periphery of the locking hole 84 a to be locked to the bolt 27 as a fastener is disposed. Has been.

Therefore, in the first embodiment, even if the bottom cover portion 84 of the cover member 81 is pulled and extended, the peripheral edge of the locking hole 84a in the bottom cover portion 84 of the cover member 81 locked by the bolt 27 is extended. Thus, the cover member 81 (wrapping material 80) can maintain the compact folded shape of the folded body 50.

In the first embodiment, the case where the locking hole side sewing portion 93 is disposed on the entire circumference of the peripheral edge of the locking hole 84a is shown, but the locking hole side sewing portion 93 is at least folded. You may arrange | position only to the edge 93a side (refer FIG. 16) of reverse direction RD and the action direction TD of the restoring force of the tatami body 50. FIG. Of course, as in the first embodiment, the peripheral edge 93a of the locking hole 84a is connected to the opposite edge 93b, and the edge 93b side is linearly connected to the bottom surface side end portion 90b of the side surface side sewing portion 90. If the bottom surface side sewing part 92 to be connected in a shape is provided, the restoring force of the folded body 50 can be further counteracted, and the compact folded shape of the folded body 50 can be maintained.

In addition, when providing the stretch regulation sewing part as a stretch regulation material, you may use 80A of wrapping materials shown to FIGS. The wrapping material 80A is provided with an elongation regulating sewing portion 88A in which a sewing thread 89 is sewn by chain stitching on a cover member 81A made of a cover material base fabric 130 made of the same material as the cover material base fabric 110 of the cover member 81. It is configured. The cover material base fabric 130 has long and short belt-like protruding portions 132 (L, S) projecting radially from a disc-shaped central portion 131. The short belt-like overhang portions 132S are arranged in a radial manner shifted by 90 ° from the central portion 131, and the long belt-like overhang portions 132L protrude radially from the short belt-like overhang portions 132S, 132S. . The central portion 131 constitutes the ceiling cover portion 82A, the tip of the belt-like overhang portion 132 constitutes the bottom surface cover portion 84A provided with the locking hole 84a, and the central portion 131 side of the belt-like overhang portion 132 is The side cover portion 83A is configured.

In addition, the length from the center part 131 in each strip | belt-shaped overhang | projection part 132 of the cover material base fabric 130 to each latching hole 84a is when each latching hole 84a is latched to the volt | bolt 27 as a predetermined | prescribed fastener. The length of the cover member 81 </ b> A is set so that the folded member 50 can be strongly pressed and wrapped.

The stretch regulating sewing portion 88A is formed from the locking hole side sewing portion 93, the bottom surface side sewing portion 92, and the bottom surface side sewing portion 92 provided at the periphery of the locking hole 84a of the bottom surface cover portion 84A. A side-side sewing portion 90 extending to an extending portion 91c intersecting the annular portion 91a of the ceiling-side sewing portion 91 provided on the ceiling-side sewing portion 91, and a ceiling-side sewing portion 91 comprising an annular portion 91a and an extending portion 91c, It is configured with.

In this wrapping material 80A, the ceiling cover portion 82A is arranged on the ceiling portion 54 of the folding body 50 in a state where the short belt-like overhang portions 132S are arranged at positions close to the bolts 27 at different positions. Then, the respective locking holes 134a of the short belt-like overhang portions 132S are respectively locked to the bolts 27 in the vicinity, and the locking holes 134a of the long belt-like overhang portions 132L on both sides of each belt-like overhang portion 132S are formed. The folding body 50 can be wrapped by engaging the bolts 27 between the two (see FIGS. 23 and 24).

Since this wrapping material 80A is also provided with an elongation restricting sewing portion 88A as in the case of the wrapping material 80 of the first embodiment, the restoring force of the folded body 50 is the same as that of the wrapping material 80 of the first embodiment. The folding body 50 can be wrapped while maintaining a compact folding shape.

Further, the elongation restricting member 86 may be composed of an elongation restricting coating agent 87 applied to the cover material base fabric 110B of the cover member 81B, like a wrapping material 80B shown in FIGS. The elongation regulating coating agent 87 is a silicon coating agent used for improving heat resistance of the airbag fabric. In addition, the elongation regulating coating agent 87 has a portion where the elongation of the cover member is suppressed, that is, a portion where the elongation regulating sewing portion 88 of the first embodiment is provided, for example, on the cover member 81B. In the case of the example shown in FIG. 20B, the ceiling and side portions shown in FIG. 20B can be easily applied. A coating agent 87 for restricting elongation is provided on substantially the entire surface of the cover member 81B within a range in which the drooping of the intersecting portion 59 can be prevented. In the case of the illustrated example, the elongation regulating coating agent 87 is provided on one side of the front side or the back side of the cover member 81B, but the elongation regulating coating 87 is provided on both sides of the front and back sides of the cover member 81B. A coating agent 87 may be provided.

The cover material base fabric 110B that forms the cover member 81B is substantially the same as the cover material base fabric 110 that forms the cover member 81 of the first embodiment. A description thereof will be omitted.

Further, the cover material base fabric 110B has a plurality of cuts 124 at predetermined positions so that the airbag 30 when inflated can easily break the wrapping material 80B and protrude. Such cuts 124 may also be provided in the cover material base fabric 110 of the first embodiment and the cover material base fabric 130 of the modification.

The wrapping material 80B wraps the folded body 50 in the same manner as the wrapping material 80 of the first embodiment, and the same actions and effects as those of the first embodiment can be obtained.

The folding body 50 according to the first embodiment is formed by being compressed by the bag folding machine 60 or the bag press machine 72 in a direction in which the ceiling part 54 and the bottom part 51 are brought close to each other. The ceiling part 54 of the 50 includes a recess 55 that is recessed from the outer peripheral edge 54b side near the center 54a, and has a ceiling surface 56a that is substantially parallel to the bottom face part 51 on the outer peripheral edge 54b side. As described above, the protruding portion 56 that protrudes from the concave portion 55 is disposed.

In the case of such a foldable body 50, the raised portion 56 provided on the outer peripheral edge 54b of the ceiling portion 54 is compressed to the bottom surface portion 51 side, and the extension regulating member 86 is used as the cover members 81, 81A, Even if the wrapping material 80, 80A, 80B provided on 81B wraps the folded body 50, the raised portion 56 located at the intersection 59 of the ceiling portion 54 and the side surface portion 58 is in a compressed state. The foldable body 50 is less likely to hang down to the center side of the portion 51 and can maintain a compact fold shape. And if the folding body 50 is wrapped in the wrapping materials 80, 80A, and 80B, the intersection part 59 of the ceiling part 54 and the side part 58 will hang down, and it shows to the dashed-two dotted line of A of FIG. As described above, even if the center 54a of the ceiling portion 54 is raised, the concave portion 55 is formed in the center 54a of the ceiling portion 54 in advance, and the concave portion 55 itself is raised so as to raise the ceiling portion 54. It can absorb and can prevent the state where ceiling part 54 becomes high, and as a result, folding body 50 can maintain a compact folding shape.

Incidentally, as described above, in the foldable body 500 that is not provided with the concave portion shown in FIG. 20B, the wrapping material 800 allows the intersection portion 59 on both sides of the ceiling portion 54 and the side surface portion 58 to be formed from the ceiling portion 54. Further, when the folding body 500 is wrapped so as to be connected to the bottom surface portion 51 side through the side surface portions 58 on both sides, the wrapping material 800 strongly presses the folding body 500. FIG. As shown in the two-dot chain line of B in FIG. 5, the crossing portion 59 on both sides of the ceiling portion 54 and the side surface portion 58 hangs down to the bottom surface portion 51 side, and the vicinity of the center 54a of the ceiling portion 54 is raised. As a result, the height dimension H1 of the folded body 500 is increased, and it becomes difficult to maintain the compact folded shape of the folded body 500.

In the first embodiment, the depressions 55 of the folding body 50 are formed using the pressing jigs 65 and 75 of the bag folding machine 60 and the bag pressing machine 72 as shown in FIG. As the shape of, recesses 55A, 55B, and 55C having shapes using push jigs 65A, 65B, 65C, 75A, 75B, and 75C as shown in FIGS.

The concave portion 55A shown in FIG. 27 is a truncated cone-shaped concave portion 55A similar to the concave portion 55 of the first embodiment, but is enlarged.

In the recess 55B shown in FIG. 28, the bottom 55a has a recess 55aa that is further recessed at the center, and an inclined portion 55b that extends from the peripheral edge 55ab around the recess 55aa to the raised portion 56 is formed in a concave surface that rises gently. Is.

The concave portion 55C shown in FIG. 29 is formed as a substantially conical concave portion 55C so as to continue from the spherical bottom portion 55a to the raised portion 56 via the bulging conical inclined portion 55b.

These concave portions 55A, 55B, and 55C are also compressed in a direction in which the ceiling portion 54 and the bottom surface portion 51 are brought close to each other by the pressing jigs 65A, 65B, 65C, 75A, 75B, and 75C in the small diameter folding process and the compression process. Then, the inclined portions 55b of the recesses 55A, 55B, and 55C are subjected to internal stress that is formed by being pushed open, so that the raised portions 56 on the outer peripheral edge 54b side of the ceiling portion 54 enhance the shape retention performance. The wrapping material 50A, 50B, 50C is locked to the bolt 27 by the wrapping material that is hardened and becomes difficult to deform so that the intersection part 59 of the ceiling part 54 and the side part 58 hangs downward. Even when wrapped with a strong fastening force, a deformation that causes the center 54a of the ceiling portion 54 to rise is not generated, and a compact folded shape can be maintained.

In addition, as the recessed part 55 provided in the center 54a of the ceiling part 54, if the raised part 56 by the side of the outer periphery 54b of the ceiling part 54 is compressed and formed in a pressing jig so that shape retention performance may be improved, for example, Alternatively, a cylindrical pressing jig may be used to form a cylindrical recess. However, when the raised portion 56 on the outer peripheral edge 54b side of the ceiling portion 54 further enhances the shape retention performance, the raised portion 56 is raised from the bottom portion 55a so as to ensure internal stress that the raised portion 56 is compressed to the side surface portion 58 side. It is desirable that the concave portions 55, 55A, 55B, and 55C have an inclined portion 55b that expands toward the inner peripheral edge 56b of the portion 56.

Moreover, when forming the recessed part 55 in the folding body 50, you may comprise so that it may form only by the compression process using the pressing jig 75 of the 2nd process of a folding process. Of course, as the first step of the folding step, the small-diameter folding step is performed by generating an internal stress that compresses the ceiling portion 54 and the bottom surface portion 51 so as to approach each other so as to form the recess 55 from the small-diameter folding step. May be performed.

Next, as an airbag device 10D of the second embodiment, a bag assembly 100D shown in FIGS. 30 to 32 may be used.

This bag assembly 100D is stored in the storage part BS of the steering wheel W in the same manner as in the first embodiment, and is expanded from the folded state of the folded body 50 as in the first embodiment. The airbag 30 is configured to be inflated by flowing in the working gas, and a shape maintaining member 95. The shape maintaining member 95 covers the foldable body 50 so that the folded shape of the foldable body 50 can be maintained against the restoring force that attempts to eliminate the folding in the foldable body 50, and is flexible. Have.

The folding body 50 is the same as that of the first embodiment, and includes a bottom surface portion 51, a ceiling portion 54 disposed so as to face the bottom surface portion 51, and a side surface portion between the bottom surface portion 51 and the ceiling portion 54. 58, and a bolt 27 as a fastener for locking the bottom surface cover portion 98 on the end portion side of the shape maintaining member 95 is projected from the vicinity of the outer peripheral edge of the bottom surface portion 51. I am letting. The bolt 27 protrudes out of the airbag 30 from the retainer 25 housed in the airbag 30 as in the first embodiment.

Similar to the airbag 30, the shape maintaining member 95 is formed of a flexible sheet material made of a base fabric for bags made of synthetic fibers such as polyamide and polyester. The shape maintaining member 95 extends from the ceiling cover portion 96 that covers the ceiling portion 54 of the folded body 50, the side surface cover portion 97 that extends from the end portion 96 b of the ceiling cover portion 96 and covers the side surface portion 58, and the side surface cover portion 97. And a bottom surface cover portion 98 having a locking hole 98a for locking the bolt 27 as a fastener. And the ceiling cover part 96 is provided with the center part 96c which covered the center 54a vicinity of the ceiling part 54, and it is extended and formed on both sides linearly so that the ceiling part 54 may be crossed from the center part 96c, and both sides One end side of this is fixed to the edge 54b side of the ceiling portion 54 by sewing or the like as a terminal 96a, and the other end side is connected to the side cover portion 97.

In a state where the shape maintaining member 95 is flatly deployed, the bottom cover portion 98, the side surface cover portion 97, the fixing portion (terminal) 96a from the locking hole 98a toward the edge 54b side of the ceiling portion 54 of the ceiling cover portion 96, And the ceiling cover part 96 is set as the structure arrange | positioned linearly.

The length from the terminal 96a to the locking hole 98a in the shape maintaining member 95 is such that the shape maintaining member 95 strongly presses the folded body 50 when the locking hole 98a is locked to the bolt 27 as a fastener. It is set to the length dimension that can be wrapped.

In the bag assembly 100D of the airbag apparatus 10D of the second embodiment, the flexible sheet-like shape maintaining member 95 straddles the vicinity of the center 54a of the ceiling portion 54 of the folded body 50, and the center With the terminal 96a of the ceiling cover portion 96 extending from the portion 96c fixed to the edge 54b side of the ceiling portion 54, the end portion 96b side extending to the opposite side of the center portion 96c in the ceiling cover portion 96 is folded. 50 is connected to the side surface cover part 97 covering the side surface part 58, and is connected to the bottom surface cover part 98 that covers the bottom surface part 51 of the folding body 50 from the side surface cover part 97 and is locked to the bolt 27 as a fastener. I am letting. Therefore, the ceiling cover portion 96 that extends linearly from the bottom surface cover portion 98 in the unfolded state is efficiently near the center 54a of the ceiling portion 54 of the folded body 50 (in the illustrated example, both sides sandwiching the vicinity of the center 54a). The ceiling surface 56a) of the raised portion 56 is pressed to the bottom surface portion 51 side so that the height of the ceiling portion 54 of the folded body 50 is not increased, and the intersection of the ceiling cover portion 96 and the side cover portion 97 99 itself is pressed toward the bottom cover part 98 side, and the part of the folding body 50 (intersection part between the ceiling part 54 and the side part 58) 59 in the vicinity of the intersection part 99 between the ceiling cover part 96 and the side cover part 97. Since the increase in height can be suppressed, the folded body 50 can maintain a compact folded shape. In particular, the shape maintaining member 95 includes a ceiling cover portion 96 straddling the vicinity of the center 54a of the ceiling portion 54 of the folded body 50 without providing a portion extending from the terminal 96a side to the side surface portion 58 side of the folded body 50. Since the ceiling cover portion 96 is fixed to the edge 54b side of the ceiling portion 54, the ceiling cover portion 96 has a bottom surface at the intersection 59 between the ceiling portion 54 and the side surface portion 58 of the folded body 50 on the connection side with the side surface cover portion 97. Although it presses to the part 51 side, since it does not press to the center side of the bottom face part 51 so that the intersection part 59 of the ceiling part 54 and the side part 58 of the folding body 50 in the terminal 96a side may hang down, ceiling part Therefore, the shape maintaining member 95 can maintain the compact folded shape of the folded body 50.

Incidentally, as shown by a two-dot chain line in FIG. 20B, the ceiling cover portion 96 straddling the vicinity of the center 54a of the ceiling portion 54 of the folding body 500 is folded on both sides of the center portion 96c. 50 is connected to the side cover parts 97, 97 covering the side part 58, and the bottom cover part 98 connected to each side cover part 97, 97 is locked to the bolt 27 as a fastener. As shown by the two-dot chain line in FIG. 20B, the both sides of the center portion 96c of the ceiling cover portion 96 and the side cover portions 97, 97 on both sides are folded. The crossing portions 59 on both sides of the both sides of the ceiling portion 54 of the tatami body 500 with the side surface portion 58 are both pushed obliquely to the center of the bottom surface portion 51, the crossing portions 59 on both sides hang down, and Center 54a of the ceiling 54 Push will be, the height of the folded member 500, as H1 from H0, thereby causing a situation to increase.

In the shape maintaining member 95, a plurality of bolts 27 as fasteners are arranged in the vicinity of the outer peripheral edge of the bottom surface portion 51 of the folded body 50, as radial positions relative to the center of the bottom surface portion 51. Then, as shown in FIGS. 30 to 32, a plurality of (as shown in FIG. 30) are arranged so that the ceiling cover portions 96, 96 cross each other and the bottom surface cover portion 98 is locked to the bolts 27 at different positions. In the case of the example, two) may be provided.

In such a configuration, the folding body 50 is covered with the ceiling cover of the plurality of shape maintaining members 95 in a state where the pressing of the bottom surface portion 51 to the center side at the intersection 59 of the ceiling portion 54 and the side surface portion 58 is suppressed. The portion 96 reliably prevents an increase in the height of the center 54a of the folded body 50, and also reliably prevents an increase in the height of the intersection 99 between the plurality of ceiling cover portions 96 and the side surface cover portions 97. Thus, the shape maintaining member 95 can further maintain the compact folded shape of the folded body 50.

Of course, if the shape maintaining member 95 can maintain the compact folded shape of the folded body 50, for example, only one shape maintaining member 95 may be used as being wide.

As the shape maintaining member 95, the ceiling cover portion 96 may be directly fixed to the outer peripheral edge 54b of the ceiling portion 54 itself of the folded body 50, as shown in FIG. Like the bag assembly 100E of the airbag apparatus 10E shown in FIGS. 33 to 35, the ceiling portion 54 and the side surface portion of the folding body 50 are provided by the wrapping material 80E disposed to be locked to the bolts 27 as the fasteners. 58 and when the surface side over the bottom surface portion 51 is covered, the ceiling cover portion 96 of the shape maintaining member 95E is fixed to the portion of the wrapping material 80E that covers the ceiling portion 54 of the folded body 50, and the folded body A configuration may be adopted in which a wrapping material 80E that covers the ceiling portion 54 is interposed on the edge 54b side of the 50 ceiling portions 54, and is fixed by sewing or the like.

In addition, in the bag assembly 100E shown to FIGS. 33-35, the wrapping material 80E which wraps the folding body 50 is comprised from the cover member 81 itself which does not provide the elongation control material 86 in 1st Embodiment. Of course, an elongation regulating member 86 may be provided as the wrapping material 80E.

Further, the shape maintaining member 95E wraps the terminal 96a of the ceiling cover portion 96 extending from the center portion 96c across the vicinity of the center 54a of the ceiling portion 54 of the folded body 50, although the wrapping material 80E is interposed. The side cover portion 97 that covers the side surface portion 58 of the folded body 50 on the end portion 96b side that extends to the opposite side of the central portion 96c in the ceiling cover portion 96 in a state of being fixed to the edge 54b side of the ceiling portion 54 in the material 80E. And is connected to the bottom surface cover portion 98 that covers the bottom surface portion 51 of the foldable body 50 from the side surface cover portion 97 and is locked to the bolt 27 as a fastener.

Then, as the bag assembly 100E, the shape maintaining member 95E has four radial positions near the outer peripheral edge of the bottom surface portion 51 of the folded body 50 as radial positions relative to the center of the bottom surface portion 51 of the folded body 50. Four bolts 27 are arranged corresponding to the two bolts 27, and the ceiling cover parts 96, 96, 96, 96 are arranged to cross each other, and the bottom face cover part 98 is locked to the bolts 27 at different positions. Yes. Of course, the number of the shape maintaining members 95E provided on the wrapping material 80E may be plural, or may be one as long as the compact folded shape of the folded body 50 can be maintained.

Further, in the bag assemblies 100D and 100E, the fixing strength of the terminal 96a of the ceiling cover portion 96 is adjusted so that the state of covering the folded body 50 can be released when the airbag 30 is inflated to release the fixing. Alternatively, the predetermined part from the ceiling cover part 96 to the bottom cover part 98 is broken.

Further, in the bag assembly 100D, the shape maintaining member 95 is fixed to the terminal body 96 at the edge 54b of the ceiling portion 54 after the folding is completed before the airbag 30 is folded. The folding body 50 is folded or the folding body 50 is folded so that the terminal 96a is disposed at a predetermined position by holding the shape maintaining member 95 at the time of folding. After forming, the terminal 96a may be secured to the edge 54b.

Moreover, in each embodiment, although the folding body 50 was illustrated as substantially cylindrical shape, you may fold the folding body 50 into polygonal column-shaped shapes, such as square column shape.

Moreover, in each embodiment, although the airbag apparatus 10, 10D, 10E for driver's seats mounted in the boss | hub part B of the steering wheel W was illustrated, it is an airbag apparatus which wraps a folding body with a wrapping material or a shape maintenance member. If present, the present invention may be applied to an airbag device for a passenger seat or the like.

Moreover, in each embodiment, although the case where the volt | bolt 27 of the retainer 25 arrange | positioned in the airbag 30 was used as a fastener which latches a wrapping material and a shape maintenance member was shown, the airbag 30 is hold | maintained. You may use the protrusion provided in the bag holder 11, a case, etc. as a storage site | part to store as a fastener.
