When pressing the weather strip and bonding it to the vehicle body or the opening / closing member, if the force applied to the bonding surface of the bonding base is uneven, sufficient bonding force between the weather strip and the bonding target portion can not be obtained.

An object of the present invention is to suppress unevenness or unevenness of a force applied to an adhesive surface of an adhesive base when bonding a weather strip.

The weather strip according to the present invention forms an opening / closing member such as a door, an adhesive base bonded to one of the vehicle bodies, a tubular body having an internal space together with the adhesive base, and the opening / closing member and the vehicle body when the opening / closing member is closed. A hollow seal portion that contacts and seals the other of the first and second protrusions, and a protrusion that is provided on the adhesive base portion so as to protrude toward the internal space and extends in the direction in which the tubular body extends.

When the pressing force is transmitted to the adhesive base through each of the hollow seal portion and the protrusion, unevenness or unevenness of the force applied to the adhesive surface of the adhesive base is reduced.

Hereinafter, embodiments of the present invention will be described with reference to the drawings.

2. Description of the Related Art In vehicles such as automobiles, an opening is provided in a vehicle body for an occupant to get on and off and to load and unload luggage, and an opening / closing member for opening and closing the opening is provided. In a general passenger car, the vehicle body has openings on both the left and right sides for passengers to get on and off, and doors for opening and closing the openings are provided. In addition, a luggage compartment is provided at the rear of the vehicle body, and an opening for loading / unloading luggage on the cargo compartment is provided at the rear of the vehicle body. 2. Description of the Related Art A vehicle body type in which a luggage compartment is connected to a passenger cabin, for example, a hatchback type vehicle, is provided with a back door that opens and closes an opening of the cargo compartment. Further, in a vehicle body type in which the cargo compartment is independent from the cabin, for example, a sedan type vehicle, a lid (trunk lid) is provided at the opening of the cargo compartment (trunk). There is also known a vehicle having a so-called sunroof in which an opening is provided in a roof and the opening is opened and closed by a slide roof. A passenger door for getting on and off, a back door for opening and closing a luggage compartment, a trunk lid, and a slide roof for a sunroof function as an opening and closing member for opening and closing the opening of the vehicle body.

When these opening and closing members are closed, the vehicle is provided with a weather strip that seals the gap between the opening and closing members and the vehicle body in order to prevent wind, dust, noise, etc. from entering the passenger compartment or luggage compartment. . The weather strip is typically provided at the periphery of the door in the case of an opening for getting on and off, and is typically provided at the periphery of the opening of a vehicle body in the case of an opening for a luggage compartment. It is possible to select whether the weather strip is provided on the vehicle body side, on the door or the like, or on both sides, and a part of one opening is on the vehicle body side, and the remaining part is on the door or the like. It can also be provided. In addition, weather strips can be double or more overlapping so as to surround the openings double or more.

In the following, an opening and a door for getting on and off will be described as an example.

FIG. 1 is a view showing a door 10 provided on a side surface of a vehicle. A weather strip 12 is attached along the periphery of the door 10. The weather strip 12 shown in the figure is endless, and one weather strip corresponds to the entire periphery of the door. The weather strip may be divided into several parts. The weather strip 12 is bonded to the door 10 using an adhesive, in particular using a double-sided adhesive tape. The weather strip 12 is made of a material having elasticity, such as rubber, and is deformed and contacted with the peripheral edge of the opening of the corresponding vehicle body to seal the gap between the door 10 and the vehicle body.

FIG. 2 is a diagram showing a cross-sectional shape of the weather strip 12. The weather strip 12 may have the same cross-sectional shape over the entire circumference. In addition, the weather strip 12 may have different cross-sectional shapes for each portion. For example, the cross-sectional shape may be different between the door panel 14 which is a main body portion of the door and the door frame 16 which is a window frame portion.

The weather strip 12 has an adhesive base 18 bonded to the door 10 and a hollow seal portion 22 that forms a tubular body having an internal space 20 together with the adhesive base 18. The tubular body of the weather strip 12 is not a simple circular tube or square tube, but has a tube shape with a modified cross section. The weatherstrip 12 may have a lip 24 that extends outwardly from the tubular body. Furthermore, the adhesive base 18 is provided with a protrusion 26 that protrudes toward the internal space 20 and extends along the direction in which the weather strip 12 or the tubular body extends. The protrusion 26 may be provided over the entire length of the weather strip 12 or may be provided in a part thereof.

The adhesive base 18 has a substantially flat plate shape, and in particular has a flat adhesive surface 28 on the surface facing the door 10. An adhesive is disposed on the adhesive surface 28. Specifically, an adhesive for adhering the weather strip 12 to the door 10 is disposed by adhering the double-sided adhesive tape 30 to the adhesive base 18. When the double-sided adhesive tape 30 is used, the surface of the double-sided adhesive tape 30 that faces the door 10 becomes the adhesive surface 28 of the adhesive base 18. The weather strip 12 is bonded to the door 10 by the double-sided adhesive tape 30.

The hollow seal portion 22 has a seal wall 32 that faces the vehicle body and is convexly curved toward the vehicle body side, and side walls 34 and 36 that support the seal wall 32 with respect to the adhesive base 18. As described above, the weather strip 12 is endless or forms a ring, and the side wall 34 is located outside the ring and the side wall 36 is located inside. Henceforth, when it is necessary to distinguish the two side walls 34 and 36, the side wall 34 is described as the outer side wall 34, and the side wall 36 is described as the inner side wall 36. Further, in the following description, unless otherwise specified, the outer side of the weather strip 12 is simply referred to as the outer side, and the inner side of the ring is simply referred to as the inner side. The outer side wall 34 is disposed outwardly from the center of the double-sided adhesive tape 30 in the width direction, that is, on the right side in FIG. 2, and at a portion corresponding to the outer half of the double-sided adhesive tape 30 of the adhesive base 18. It is erected.

When the door 10 is closed, the seal wall 32 comes into contact with the vehicle body and is pressed and elastically deformed. As the seal wall 32 is deformed, the hollow seal portion 22 is also elastically deformed so that the internal space 20 is reduced. Due to the reaction force of this deformation, the hollow seal portion 22, particularly the seal wall 32, comes into close contact with the vehicle body and seals the gap between the vehicle body and the door 10.

The protruding portion 26 extends between the outer side wall 34 and the inner side wall 36 so as to be parallel to the side walls 34, 36. A trough is formed between the ridge 26 and the side walls 34, 36, and slopes 38, 40 are formed from the top of the ridge 26 to the bottom of the valley. When the two slopes 38 and 40 need to be distinguished, they are referred to as an outer slope 38 and an inner slope 40. As shown in FIG. 2, the slopes of the slopes 38 and 40 can be about 30 ° with respect to the center plane 42 of the protrusion 26. The height h of the protruding portion 26 from the bonding surface 28 is set to a dimension that is equal to or larger than the sum of the thickness of the bonding base portion 18 where the outer side wall 34 is provided and the thickness of the outer side wall 34. This dimension will be explained again later. The position where the protrusion 26 is disposed is a position inside the outer side wall 34 and a position where the surface extending the outer slope 38 intersects the double-sided adhesive tape 30. More preferably, it can be set to a position where the center surface 42 of the protrusion 26 intersects the double-sided adhesive tape 30.

FIG. 3 is a view showing a deformed state of the weather strip 12 when the weather strip 12 is bonded. The weather strip 12 before deformation is shown by a one-dot chain line. At the time of bonding, the weather strip 12 is pressed toward the door 10, the hollow seal portion 22 is crushed, and the pressure is transmitted to the double-sided adhesive tape 30 via the hollow seal portion 22 which is crushed. For example, the rollers 44 can be pressed, and the rollers 44 are moved along the direction in which the weather strip 12 extends so that the bonding can be performed sequentially.

The hollow seal portion 22 is crushed by the pressing force, the outer side wall 34 falls down, and the adhesive base 18, the outer side wall 34, and the seal wall 32 are folded over. In the outer part of the double-sided adhesive tape 30, the pressing force F <b> 1 acts on the adhesive surface 28 via the folded adhesive base 18, outer side wall 34, and seal wall 32. On the other hand, in the inner portion of the double-sided adhesive tape 30, the seal wall 32 abuts against the ridge 26 and a pressing force F2 acts on the adhesive surface 28 via the seal wall 32, ridge 26 and adhesive base 18. In FIG. 3, the arrows indicating the pressing forces F1 and F2 symbolically represent the pressing force transmitted through the outer side wall 34 and the pressing force transmitted through the projecting portion 26, and in fact, the pressing force F1 , F2 do not act in a concentrated manner, but act as a force (pressure) distributed around the position of the arrow.

If the protrusions 26 are not provided, the pressing force F2 does not act, sufficient force does not act on the inner part of the double-sided adhesive tape 30, and sufficient adhesion is not performed. That is, the distribution of force is uneven and adhesion becomes insufficient. By providing the protruding portion 26, unevenness in pressing force can be reduced.

The protrusion 26 needs to abut the seal wall 32 when the hollow seal portion 22 is crushed for adhesion. If the height h of the protrusion 26 is equal to or more than the sum of the thickness t1 of the adhesive base 18 and the thickness t2 of the outer side wall 34 if the thickness of the seal wall 32 is substantially uniform, the seal wall is adhesively held. 32 abuts on the ridge 26. Moreover, since the area which receives the pressing force F2 of the protrusion part 26 is smaller than the area which receives the pressing force F1 of the outer side wall 34, a deformation | transformation of the protrusion part 26 tends to become large. In consideration of this, it is preferable that the height h of the protrusion 26 is higher than the sum (t1 + t2) of the thickness of the adhesive base 18 and the outer side wall 34. Furthermore, the balance of the pressing forces F1 and F2 can be adjusted by changing the height of the protrusion 26 or adjusting the hardness together with the height.

The force acting on the ridge 26 is transmitted with an extension of about 30 ° with respect to the center in the direction of the force (downward in the figure). Based on the range of action of this force, the slopes 38 and 40 of the ridge 26 are arranged to have an inclination of about 30 ° as described above. In particular, by providing the outer bevel 38 and forming a valley between it and the outer sidewall 34, the outer sidewall 34 can be easily collapsed during bonding and the outer sidewall 34 can be easily folded over with the adhesive base 18 and the seal wall 32. it can.

Although the above-mentioned embodiment explained the weather strip provided corresponding to the opening for getting on and off of the passenger of a passenger car, the present invention is not limited to this, and the other opening of a passenger car, and also a large car, a freight car The present invention can be applied to a weather strip provided corresponding to an opening such as.
