Description

The present invention relates to a handrail member used as a handrail, and particularly relates to its cross-sectional structure.

Handrails are used to support a person when walking or when they stand, and support the body, so strength is necessary. On the other hand, a person needs a soft feeling when grasping by hand.
Therefore, a structure in which the core material is covered with a coating member made of resin has been proposed.
For example, Patent Document 1 discloses a handrail headboard assembled so that both ends of a covering body are locked to an outer peripheral opening of a headboard core material.
However, such a handrail member is dangerous because it has an open portion below as shown in FIG.
In addition, if a soft resin is used to give a soft feeling when a person grasps it, the covering member having a C cross-sectional shape may be twisted when it is grasped by hand, and may be detached from the core material. Alternatively, a semi-hard resin material is used.
However, such a hard resin cannot be assembled by opening the open part at room temperature, so it must be assembled while being heated and softened with a heater or the like, and the assembling work has been difficult.
Moreover, since it is hard resin, the problem that a touch feeling is bad remains.

Japanese Patent Laying-Open No. 2015-194044

An object of the present invention is to provide a handrail member in which the covering member is difficult to come off from the core material, is easy to assemble, and has a good touch feeling.

The handrail member according to the present invention includes a core member and a covering member that covers the core member, and the covering member has an end portion that expands and opens in the longitudinal direction for assembly to the core member, The ends on both sides of the opening are locked to each other after assembly, and the covering member has a locking portion having a closed cross-sectional shape.
Here, the fact that the ends on both sides where the covering member opens are mutually locked means that the ends interfere with each other so that the ends do not open.
Therefore, it may be a claw-shaped locking portion, or one end portion may be fitted into a recess provided in the other end portion.
The core material is preferably made of metal from the viewpoint of strength.

In the present invention, the core member may have an engaging portion for engaging with the one end portion of the covering member when the covering member is assembled.
If it does in this way, since one edge part opened along the longitudinal direction of the covering member can be engaged with the engaging part of a core material, when assembling to a core material so that the other edge part may be expanded , Prevents the covering member from slipping off and facilitates assembly.

In the present invention, the covering member may be made of resin, and the locking portion may be made of resin harder than other general portions.
If it does in this way, the hard edge part of a coating | coated member will fit firmly in the engaging part of a core material, it will be easy to assemble | attach to a core material, and will not come off easily.
In addition, a soft and soft resin can be used for the general part other than the locking part, and the touch feeling is improved.

In the present invention, the core material may be formed of a metal core and a resin core disposed on an outer peripheral portion of the metal core and bendable, and the resin core may have the engaging portion.
If it does in this way, it can apply to the corner part of the handrail which needs bending.

In the handrail member according to the present invention, the cross-section of the covering member after assembling to the core member becomes a closed cross-section, so that there is no possibility that fingers or the like are caught.
In addition, since the covering member has a closed cross section after assembly, it is not twisted off and soft resin with a soft feeling can be used, and the opening of the covering member can be expanded and assembled to the core material at room temperature. Assembling work becomes easy.

One end of the soft part 24 having a C-shaped cross section has a fitting end 21 made of a relatively hard material, and the other end is also harder than the soft part 24 of the general part. It has the latching end part 22 which consists of.
When the engaging end portion 22 is engaged with the fitting end portion 21, an engaging portion (A) is formed as shown in FIG.

The soft portion preferably has a JIS K 7215 A-type hardness of about 60 to 85, and may have a multilayer structure of a design portion on the surface and a core portion on the inside thereof.

The engaging portion 11 has bent end portions 11a and 11b which are bent toward the outside at both end portions. During this time, one end portion of the covering member 20, between the engaging end portions 21 in this embodiment, is formed. The engagement end 23 having a substantially trapezoidal shape inside is engaged.

As shown in FIG. 1 (b), the engaging end 21 has a fitting end 21 and a locking end 22, and the covering member 20 is expanded so as to expand the diameter, and the core 10 is incorporated inside, and then the engaging end 23 is engaged with the engaging portion 11 of the core member 10, and the locking end portion 22 which is the other end portion is wound around as shown in FIGS. 1 (c) and (d), The fitting end 21 is aligned.
