Claims (15)
- 計算システムからコンテンツアイテム名前空間の識別子とクライアントジャーナルカーソル値とを受信することであって、前記クライアントジャーナルカーソル値が前記計算システムに対する前記コンテンツアイテム名前空間の状態を反映する、受信することと、
メタデータサーバからコンテンツアイテムブロックを特定するものを受信することであって、前記コンテンツアイテムブロックがコンテンツアイテムを構成する、受信することと、
前記受信されたクライアントジャーナルカーソル値に少なくとも部分的に基づいて、前記計算システムから、前記コンテンツアイテムを構成する前記コンテンツアイテムブロックのうちの前記計算システムによって保持されているひとつ以上のコンテンツアイテムブロックを特定してダウンロードすることと、を含む方法。 - 前記コンテンツアイテム名前空間の前記識別子と前記クライアントジャーナルカーソル値とはひとつ以上のユーザデータグラムパケットで前記計算システムから受信される請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記受信されたコンテンツアイテム名前空間の識別子に少なくとも部分的に基づいて、エントリをテーブルに格納することであって、前記エントリが前記テーブルにおいて前記コンテンツアイテム名前空間の識別子に関連付けられ、前記エントリが前記計算システムのネットワークアドレスを含み、前記エントリが前記コンテンツアイテム名前空間が前記計算システムに設けられていることを表す、格納することをさらに含む請求項1に記載の方法。
- 前記計算システムは第1計算システムであり、
前記クライアントジャーナルカーソル値は第1クライアントジャーナルカーソル値であり、
前記方法はさらに、
前記第1計算システムではない第2計算システムから、前記コンテンツアイテム名前空間の識別子と、前記コンテンツアイテム名前空間に関連付けられるが前記第1クライアントジャーナルカーソル値ではない第2クライアントジャーナルカーソル値と、を受信することと、
前記第1クライアントジャーナルカーソル値と前記第2クライアントジャーナルカーソル値とを比較することと、
前記第1クライアントジャーナルカーソル値と前記第2クライアントジャーナルカーソル値との前記比較に少なくとも部分的に基づいて、前記第2計算システムの代わりに前記第1計算システムからダウンロードすると決定することと、を含む請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記第1クライアントジャーナルカーソル値と前記第2クライアントジャーナルカーソル値とを比較することは、前記第1クライアントジャーナルカーソル値の数値が前記第2クライアントジャーナルカーソル値の数値よりも大きいと判定することを含む請求項4に記載の方法。
- 前記第2クライアントジャーナルカーソル値が前記第2計算システムに対する前記コンテンツアイテム名前空間の第2状態を反映し、
前記第1クライアントジャーナルカーソル値と前記第2クライアントジャーナルカーソル値とを比較することは、前記第1状態が前記第2状態よりも現在に近いと判定することを含む請求項4に記載の方法。 - 前記方法は、前記計算システムから、前記コンテンツアイテムを構成する前記コンテンツアイテムブロックのうちの前記特定されたひとつ以上のコンテンツアイテムブロックが前記計算システムからのダウンロード用に利用可能であることのアクノレッジメントを受信することをさらに含み、
前記特定されたひとつ以上のコンテンツアイテムブロックをダウンロードすることは、前記受信されたアクノレッジメントに少なくとも部分的に基づく請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記計算システムが第2計算システムであり、前記方法が前記第2計算システムではない第1計算システムによって行われ、
前記コンテンツアイテムを構成する前記コンテンツアイテムブロックのなかから前記ひとつ以上のコンテンツアイテムブロックを特定することは、前記コンテンツアイテムを構成する前記コンテンツアイテムブロックのなかから前記第1計算システムによってローカルで保持されている少なくともひとつのコンテンツアイテムブロックを特定することにより行われ、
前記方法はさらに、前記コンテンツアイテムを構成する前記コンテンツアイテムブロックのうちの前記ひとつ以上のコンテンツアイテムブロックが前記第1計算システムによってローカルで保持されている前記少なくともひとつのコンテンツアイテムブロックに含まれないと判定することによって、前記コンテンツアイテムを構成する前記コンテンツアイテムブロックのなかから前記ひとつ以上のコンテンツアイテムブロックをダウンロード用に選択することを含む請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記計算システムは第1計算システムであり、
前記クライアントジャーナルカーソル値は第1クライアントジャーナルカーソル値であり、
前記方法はさらに、前記第1計算システムではない第2計算システムから、前記コンテンツアイテム名前空間の識別子と、前記コンテンツアイテム名前空間に関連付けられるが前記第1クライアントジャーナルカーソル値ではない第2クライアントジャーナルカーソル値と、を受信することを含み、
前記コンテンツアイテム名前空間の識別子と前記第1クライアントジャーナルカーソル値とは第1時刻に前記第1計算システムから受信され、
前記コンテンツアイテム名前空間の識別子と前記第2クライアントジャーナルカーソル値とは前記第1時刻より前の第2時刻に前記第2計算システムから受信され、
前記方法はさらに、前記第1時刻が前記第2時刻の後であることに少なくとも部分的に基づいて、前記第2計算システムの代わりに前記第1計算システムからダウンロードすると決定することを含む請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記コンテンツアイテム名前空間が第1コンテンツアイテム名前空間であり、
前記クライアントジャーナルカーソル値は第1クライアントジャーナルカーソル値であり、
前記方法はさらに、

前記第2コンテンツアイテム名前空間の識別子と前記第2クライアントジャーナルカーソル値とをひとつ以上の計算デバイスへ送信することと、を含み、
前記第2コンテンツアイテム名前空間が、前記第2クライアントジャーナルカーソル値がローカルで保持されている特定の計算デバイスに設けられ、
前記特定の計算デバイスが、前記第2コンテンツアイテム名前空間の識別子と前記第2クライアントジャーナルカーソル値とが送信された先の前記ひとつ以上の計算デバイスのうちのひとつではない請求項1に記載の方法。 - 前記計算システムが第2計算システムであり、前記方法が前記第2計算システムではない第1計算システムによって行われ、

- 前記メタデータサーバから、前記コンテンツアイテム名前空間が前記コンテンツアイテムブロックサーバに割り当てられたことを示すものを受信することをさらに含む請求項11に記載の方法。
