[00125]図1A〜図4Aに示す磁気アセンブリの使用により、表1に記載のUV硬化性スクリーン印刷インクの印刷層における非球状光学可変性磁性顔料粒子を配向させ、図1B〜図4Bに示す光学効果層(OEL)を生成した。UV硬化性スクリーン印刷インクは、T90シルクスクリーンを用いて、基材としての黒い市販の紙上に手で適用した。UV硬化性スクリーン印刷インクの適用層を有する紙基材を磁界発生装置上に配設した(図1A〜図4A)。このようにして得られた非球状光学可変性顔料粒子の磁気的配向パターンは、配向ステップと一部同時に、Phoseon製UV−LEDランプ(ファイアフレックス(FireFlex)タイプ、50×75mm、395mm、8W/cm2)を用いて、顔料粒子を含む印刷層のUV硬化によって固定した。

Claims (13)
- 光学効果層(OEL)を基材上に生成するプロセスであって、
a)非球状の磁性顔料粒子又は磁化可能顔料粒子を含む第1の状態の放射線硬化性被膜組成物を基材表面に適用するステップと、
b)
i)前記基材表面に対して実質的に垂直なNS磁気軸を有する単一のループ状双極子磁石、又はループ状構成に配設され、前記基材表面に対して実質的に垂直なNS磁気軸を結果的に有する2つ以上の双極子磁石の組み合わせのいずれかであるループ状磁界発生装置(x30)と、
ii)前記基材表面に対して実質的に平行なNS磁気軸を有する単一の棒状双極子磁石、又は前記基材表面に対して実質的に平行なNS磁気軸を結果的に有する2つ以上の棒状双極子磁石の組み合わせのいずれかである磁界発生装置(x40)と、
を備えた磁気アセンブリの磁界に前記放射線硬化性被膜組成物を曝露することにより、前記非球状の磁性顔料粒子又は磁化可能顔料粒子の少なくとも一部を配向させるステップと、
c)前記ステップb)の前記放射線硬化性被膜組成物を少なくとも部分的に硬化させて第2の状態とすることにより、前記非球状の磁性顔料粒子又は磁化可能顔料粒子をそれぞれの位置及び配向に固定するステップと、
を含み、
前記光学効果層が、前記光学効果層を傾斜させることによりサイズが変化するループ状体に見える光学的印象をもたらす、プロセス。 - 前記ステップa)が、印刷プロセス、好ましくはスクリーン印刷、グラビア印刷、及びフレキソ印刷から成る群から選択される印刷プロセスによって実行される、請求項1に記載のプロセス。
- 複数の前記非球状の磁性粒子又は磁化可能粒子の少なくとも一部が、光学可変性の非球状の磁性顔料粒子又は磁化可能顔料粒子により構成されている、請求項1又は2に記載のプロセス。
- 前記光学可変性の磁性顔料又は磁化可能顔料が、磁気薄膜干渉顔料、磁気コレステリック液晶顔料、及びこれらの混合物から成る群から選択される、請求項3に記載のプロセス。
- 前記ステップc)が、前記ステップb)と一部同時に実行される、請求項1〜4のいずれか一項に記載のプロセス。
- 前記非球状の磁性粒子又は磁化可能粒子が、血小板状の顔料粒子であり、第1の磁界発生装置の動的な磁界に対して前記放射線硬化性被膜組成物を曝露することにより、前記血小板状の磁性顔料粒子又は磁化可能顔料粒子の少なくとも一部を2軸配向させるステップであって、前記ステップa)の後且つ前記ステップb)の前に実行される、ステップをさらに含む、請求項1〜5のいずれか一項に記載のプロセス。
- 請求項1〜6のいずれか一項に記載のプロセスにより生成された光学効果層(OEL)。
- 請求項7に記載の光学効果層(OEL)を1つ又は複数備えたセキュリティ文書又は装飾要素若しくは物体。
- 硬化した放射線硬化性被膜組成物中に配向された非球状の磁性顔料粒子又は磁化可能顔料粒子を含む光学効果層(OEL)を基材上に生成するための磁気アセンブリであって、
a)前記基材表面に対して実質的に垂直なNS磁気軸を有する単一のループ状双極子磁石、又はループ状構成に配設され、前記基材表面に対して実質的に垂直なNS磁気軸を結果的に有する2つ以上の双極子磁石の組み合わせのいずれかであるループ状磁界発生装置(x30)と、
b)前記基材表面に対して実質的に平行なNS磁気軸を有する単一の棒状双極子磁石、又は前記基材表面に対して実質的に平行なNS磁気軸を結果的に有する2つ以上の棒状双極子磁石の組み合わせのいずれかである磁界発生装置(x40)と、
を備える、磁気アセンブリ。 - 光学効果層(OEL)を基材上に生成するための、請求項9に記載の磁気アセンブリの使用。
- 請求項9に記載の磁気アセンブリを少なくとも1つ備えた回転磁気シリンダ、又は請求項9に記載の磁気アセンブリを少なくとも1つ備えた平台印刷ユニットを備えた印刷アセンブリ。
- 被覆若しくは印刷ユニット及び/又は硬化ユニットをさらに備える、請求項11に記載の印刷アセンブリ。
- 光学効果層(OEL)を基材上に生成するための、請求項11又は12に記載の印刷アセンブリの使用。
